Character Introduction
Medieval with a modern spin. It's in the same world as The Warriors of Osharia, but Glanchester is so isolated that it's actually grown more modern on its own. E.g. the girls are treated as equals and don't have to wear dresses.

Possibly. As long as they don't have much contact with the parent.

I do have two characters open if you both want to do one. @Emma: I don't have a preference, although I'd prefer we don't do twins. ;)
So obviously I'd be biased for approving and picking my own characters' elements, so I thought we could either do a poll, or the first person to read it can assign them an element.

They wouldn't have to. I imagine that most of their contact would be in the official teacher-student context, and their parent-child time would be reserved for off-hours. (For example, they could have one or two special evenings set aside where they eat dinner together, rather than in the main dining area, or do something else together without the rest of the group. And maybe they'd have some sort of special tradition for birthdays and major holidays as well.) I wouldn't have to roleplay any of the off-hours parent-child interactions, just have my character mention them happening.
JUST FYI: Try not to make both your characters the same age! Also, we have plenty of 17 year olds... one 16 year old and one 18. We could use a fifteen, some more younger ones.

If you want to, that's fine, but don't feel like you have to. ;)

@Emily: Sounds good, you can change it on the bio and I'll change it on the student list.
@Sarah: That's totally fine. You can figure out backstory and such here or in PM.

@Sarah: Sounds good! :D
@Elisha: You are the first and ONLY orphan. We always have problems with too many orphans and twins. ;) Just fill out the character worksheet and put it in the female or male character discussion.

ok, so sorry to be a bother, the character worksheet is in here or the female or male discussion? :-/
It's in all of them. :) It's within the spoiler tag, just click on where it says "view spoiler" in the very first post, and then copy the form into a post into whichever category (male/female).

thank you!

Yes, that would definitely be an option! If you haven't already created your two, then you can. We may have a third character option soon...

I love making new characters so much that I need to stop making new characters and start writing their stories. XD
Maximum 2 characters. Moderators get a third - an authority character they don't roleplay as. For example, I'll be making the headmistress/headmaster/principal. When we get more mods, they'll be house leaders or teachers.
Do not create your character with an element in mind, as they'll be assigned an element and a house when they are approved, and it may or may not be the one you were hoping for.
Request here if you'd like to make a more complicated character. Basically, if you want to use one of these:
-Orphan
-Sibling
-Royalty (child of Lord/Lady)
If you would like to do a sibling, you must only have one of the siblings, and someone else has the other. So if you want to do twins, you take one twin and someone else has the other twin.
Don't create your second character specifically as a love interest for your first character. If you want to make a guy and a girl, leave it open for shipping with other characters. This is not a romance roleplay. Romance is not the main point.
