Hello all! I wanted to take this opportunity to get to know you all. What genres do you like to read? Which do you stay away from? What do you do in your free time? The usual things you would find in an "Introduce Yourself" topic.

I'll start, shall I? My name is Angela and I...have a book problem. It's a pretty massive one, in case you couldn't tell. I love almost every genre. I tend to stay away from Westerns, but if you have a great recommendation, I will check it out.

Besides books, I'm an avid dog lover and baker. I went to culinary school, so naturally cooking is a massive part of my life.

Now, your turn!

Catherine Blasi (goodreadscomuser_cat) My name is Cat and I can relate to your book problem. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the fact that I like to own my books and have an unhealthy addiction to eBay. I too like a lot of different genres. I haven't read any western books, but I am pretty sure that they aren't my kind of books.

Probably my favorite books are "Jurassic Park" and "The Lost World." I have a rule when it comes to reading. If I love the movie then I have to try to read the book. That is why I read "Jurassic Park" and I am so happy that I did. I have read a lot of other good books that way.

I have a never ending book list. This is mainly because I constantly add to it. I usually find myself reading fantasy, but I have quite a few favorites that fall into the more realistic genres.

I also have a severe addiction to both TV series and movies. I have over 400 movies and the number just keeps growing. Like books I also like to own all of my favorite Movies. Despite all of my indoor addictions I love to go on long walks and hit a few thrift stores along the way.

Well that's me in a nutshell.

Welcome Cat! If you like "Jurassic Park" I really recommend The Great Zoo of China, if you haven't read it yet. It was really good. I have a similar rule. I try and read before I watch the movie, but sometimes it has to be reverse. I own my own books, but last week I finally went to the library. Student loans are screaming at me to stop buying books. What are some of your favorite shows and movies?

Catherine Blasi (goodreadscomuser_cat) I usually read the book before I watch the movie. This rule came from finding out that a movie I love is based on a book. Or when I am unsure if I want to read the book. This is rare, but it does happen.

I have a lot of shows. Some of my favorites, in no particular order, are Supernatural, Criminal Minds, The Walking Dead, Z Nation, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Merlin, Star Trek (tos, tng), Haven, Grimm, OUAT, and so much more. I have a serious problem.

My movies are even harder to name because I am bound to forget a lot of the good ones. OK here it goes Son of Rambow, The Fall, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Chumscrubber, Tekkon Kinkreet, Miyazaki Films, The Boondock Saints, Most of the Marvel Films, and I too many more to name. My favorite thing to do is introduce my friends to some of my favorite movies. I love making new friends because it just means I get to start over and re-watch the movies that I have shown my other friends.

That is awesome! A lot of those movies I've heard of but never watched. The TV shows are another matter. I watch almost all of them. They are so great. I love Z Nation, but think it gets looked over sometimes.

Catherine Blasi (goodreadscomuser_cat) I will admit that I almost didn't watch it because I was such a big Walking Dead fan and it felt wrong to watch it. After I saw a small clip I had to watch it and was hooked ever since. It definitely deserves more credit and hopefully more people will realize just how good it is.

Katie My name is Katrina (or Katie)!

I pretty much just love to read and will give anything a chance. Im really a mood reader so I switch back and forth between genres a lot. For Example the last books I've read have been To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han, Tales of the Otherworld by Kelley Armstrong and I'm now reading Outlander.

Outside of books, I work as a care staff in a home for people with intellectual disabilities and am in the process of obtaining a social work degree. I serial watch tv shows and get way to invested in the characters lives that should be healthy haha.

I also am a dancer, and have tried most different types. Currently I am taking Pole dancing classes as well as aerial silks!

These Violent Delights (Robin) My name is Robin.

My favorite color is purple. I'm a capricorn. I was born in the year of the Tiger which also coincidently is my favorite animal.

I love camping, hunting, fishing, learning new things, reading, and netflix.

My favorite TV shows include; Stalker, American Dad, The 100, True Blood, Face Off, Ancient Aliens, Cake Boss, and The Next Great Baker.

My favorite Movies include; 10,000 BC, RED, Zombieland, Pompeii, The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, Priest, Underworld, Rise of the Lycans, I, Frankenstein, Resident Evil movies, Underworld Awakening, Underworld Evolution, and American Sniper.

I love fantasy, science fiction, paranormal romance, young adult, adult, urban fantasy, high fantasy, epic fantasy, post apocalyptic, dystopian, and the occasional thriller.

I really dislike contemporary and middle grade novels.

Welcome Katie and Robin! I'm so glad you both could join in. I'm completely new at this, so far warning. Katie, I wish I could dance. I call it bouncing. Lol. Robin, I am not a huge fan of middle grade either. Sometimes, I do enjoy a contemporary, but it really all depends on my mood.
