Actually I believe a lot of people like his short stories best - this is just new territory for me is all as I don't normally read short stories. On the plus side - I can read a story in one go before I turn off the light to go to sleep - on the minus side, at the moment it makes me feel somehow disconnected. Like, when I'm reading a novel I have this total feeling of, oh, I don't know how to articulate it really, except that reading short stories doesn't anchor me in the same way. But, I've come up with the solution - which is why I'm reading two books of short stories and one novel! Voila!

'For crying out loud. We're not EVIL! Just misunderstood. Anyway, we just destroyed Tulsa'! I bet some of the people who lived in Tulsa would have thought that was actually pretty evil if they had a chance to have the thought before they were obliterated!
Looking forward to some more.
This whole short story idea is new for me. I'm reading UFOs at the moment and also a series of short stories by Neil Gaiman called Smoke and Mirrors.
Good times.
