Yeah... Scooter. I didn't like it. I'm on page 225 and if there's a story behind how he got it, I haven't read it yet. Ally kept saying it was funny and we'd get a kick out of it. But... Scooter? Just... why? I really never found the appeal in the nickname. I'm curious what you guys thought.

It wasnt the best nickname I agree, but it was really funny at the same time since it fits is somewhat childish personality. But when I finished the book I was like 'nooooo' since Ally never gave us Hale's real name and so maybe that means that there will be a fourth book

I mean Ally is keeping us in suspence for it.
I love the Book but the nickname didn't fit in to his suave character.
I am not sure yet, really want to know why he is called that. It should have been included in the book for us to understand it :)
I thought it was cute but like others i wonder how he got it. On a side note I GUESSED THE CON by the middle of the book. I was pleased with myself. Im too old for this series but goodness it is my guilty pleasure
Anyone wondered if his name really is only W. W. Hale? The W's only stand for W's? That would be weird!
it would, but if Ally did do that, i have a feeling that a lot of people would not be too happy about it. Maybe she will tell in the last book if there are more to come
The mystery only adds to his sexiness. And when he was about to say his name and saw Kat, and then just went "doesn't matter", is not like I was expecting to find out his name. That's part of the character. Not knowing what the W.W. stand for, makes it all the more entertaining.

Part of the fun of reading the series - for me at least- is not knowing his name. Trying to guess what one of the Ws stands for.
Kea wrote: "i agree. I really think of hilarious names that i would like to see what hale would think of them"I know a couple of names I would like to call him
I thought that it was hilarious. We have Hale, amongst the suavest people on the planet, can pretty much get what he wants, any girl he wants. He's sophisticated and he's seen as this incredibly good looking guy, and his name is 'Hale', which is just a really cool and fitting. But this is the same guy called 'scooter' so it's quite obvious that he's not always been that way. I think that it was Allys way of telling us more about his past without actually telling us. It also adds to the mystery, like now everyone's wondering why he's called 'scooter' just as much as they're wondering what the 'W' stands for...
I feel like we weren't really SUPPOSED to like the nickname. I think it was just there to remind us of one of the many subplots of Hale fitting into two different worlds and how when he's with Kat he's "Hale" but when he's at home he's "Scooter" or whatever. I guess it just fit with the conflict. I didn't mind at all considering how awesome the book still was ;)

She probably meant for it to sound as foreign to us as it did to Kat. I'm glad the other chick had a part in the fake will- I couldn'[t stand if their was a love triangle in another book!
It was kinda weird, but I think it was probably supposed to be like that... either way, it was an amazing book
I was....surprised to say the least. (Like THIS is how his family see him????) Hmm...either way, it made me laugh.
Me too... can't wait to find out his real name! How long do you think Ally will make us wait to find out. Do you think she'll wait until the last book?
Anne wrote: "Me too... can't wait to find out his real name! How long do you think Ally will make us wait to find out. Do you think she'll wait until the last book?"Forever. I like the mystery that comes with not knowing his name.
Anne wrote: "I completely agree with you, but I must admit that sooner or later I do want to know his name."I'll rather It be later.
I wasn't big on it. I also found it sort of annoying that everyone calls him by it... maybe it's just the fact that I really want to know his real name. Overall- wasn't thrilled by it. A bit disappointed but hey at least it's not his real name.
Alondra wrote: "I did get a kick out of it. At least I think its funny, but I want to know what the his real name is"I agree.
She will tell us eventually- I like the mystery but at the same time she almost took it too far when he was JUST about to announce his name and then stopped. I was like :O NOT FAIR!!!
it such a stupid nickname
SCOOTER
wt*?!?!?!
SCOOTER
wt*?!?!?!
Scooter?Too lame for Hale.
I definitely don’t like it.
Is there gonna be another book? Cause I really wanna know his real name!
I don't think you will find out his real name. I think not knowing his a part of why we like him as a character so much... why he is so intruiging :) x

We'll have to wait a long time to figure out his name. (I really don't want to wait!)
Chisom *AngelBooky* wrote: "I feel like we weren't really SUPPOSED to like the nickname. I think it was just there to remind us of one of the many subplots of Hale fitting into two different worlds and how when he's with Kat ..."Agreed.

I feel like maybe it was a cutesy nickname when he was three or four and then even though he grew out of it, his family didn't care enough to stop calling him that. It made me feel like his family didn't know him all to continue calling him such an ill-fitting name.
And oddly enough, I'm (surprisingly) not that curious about his given name. I think just Hale is sexy as... Hale?!?!
Sorry, couldn't help myself. Now you know why my besties are books!
