A lvl.9 clearance S.H.I.E.L.D. agent in a pub that smells like burgers and grease, the mere thought made Sulllivan smile with mirth. "Totally digging this place." He said as he trailed in through the door of the place, so fluent in speaking the common tongue of the normal people. A break from fine cuisine and hand-made salmon sandwiches would be nice, perhaps. The place looked really cozy and warm, probably why the twins and other people liked the place. "So, what are you going to buy? I have no idea whatever's here so opinions would be nice." He told Croix who was hopefully near enough to hear him as he was looking around curiously right behind Florie.
"Glad you like it, Florie found it about a year or two ago and the guy who owns this place absolutely loves her." Croix replied as he glanced at his sister who was speaking rapid Italian with this other guy. That was something most people didn't know, Florie could speak over four languages. Which seemed to help her out more when it came to her job. "The burgers are definitely the best." Croix replied before sitting down. "Don't worry about it Florie will get it, she knows what's the best already." He added before sitting back.
The fact that Florie could speak rapidly in Italian was noted, although he didn't look twice over it. It was just another added information. Sullivan followed Croix and he sat on the opposit chair comfortably, although his instincts is just telling him to check if the food is clean or anything. Or has poisons. "Yeah, sure. I'd take your word for that." He told Croix with a smirk. He could pretend very well that he likes the food, even if it doesn't taste that good.
After a bit longer and much more rapid Italian, Florie came back with drinks and food. She sat down between both boys set the drinks down then gave each of them their burgers. Almost immediately she plopped a fry in her mouth and smiled. "È meraviglioso Emilio." Florie said and Croix chuckled lightly. The man, Emilio replied something else causing Florie to blush and immediately ended that conversation, causing the man to laugh wholeheartedly. "Um...so how do you like it?" She then asked Sullivan, not meeting to his gaze as her pink tinted cheeks stood out brightly. Croix smirked as he started eating his food happily.
It didn't take long, and that was a good thing. He hated waiting in public food restaurants. "I'll take your word anyway." Sullivan said, laughing a bit before eating the food that was placed in front of him. It tasted great, more than what he had expected, but that's only probably because he had always been a pessimist when it comes to expectations. "Everything you order is great." He said, complimenting the food after. After all, the owner was there. If the Emilio man is the owner.
Florie nodded and when he said that he liked it she smiled happily. "I'm glad. Emilio puts his heart and soul into this, so it's nice to know that his food is appreciated." She replied and couldn't stop her soft smile. She was still blushing from earlier, and was glad neither of them had mentioned it, otherwise she'd probably be a tomato by now. "So considering you have no social life, I'm guessing that be a no on that special lady." Croix then said teasingly as he gazed at Sullivan.
Sullivan almost spit what he was drinking, but he didn't because he was used to questions like that from other prying agents. His work is his love, the one and only. "No. I'm not exactly good when it comes to maintaining relationships." Except co-agents relationships. "How about you two? Still getting mistaken as lovers?" He asked, teasingly so just to get back. He merely smiled earlier at what Florie had said, finding no words to use to reply back.
Croix couldn't help but laugh at the response he received although Sullivan hadn't spit out his drink, Croix could tell that he wasn't expecting to be asked that by them. "Oh yeah, all the time actually. I don't see why though it's not like we're kissing or anything just talking." He said with a shrug obviously oblivious to how they looked to others. Florie rolled her eyes and smirked. "Yeah that and you send a glare towards anyone who even glances at me." She added. "Oh yeah that too." Croix said with a chuckle.
"If I didn't know you guys I probably would have called you a couple." Sullivan teased, taking a few small bites from the burger. He chewed for like a minute, thinking whether the twins engage in incestuous acts. He wouldn't be surprised, to be honest, if they do or don't. He took a quick glance as well at the clock hanging near them. Hmm. He wandered whether he was going to go or not. "And I'm not going to be surprised if you really are." By now nothing can faze him much.
Both twins shrugged, they had already heard it all. From how long have they been together to if it was a serious relationship. Sometimes they would play along with it, other times they put the poor bystander down, though that was only if they were in a bad mood. "Sorry to disappoint, but we aren't I'm afraid." Florie replied lightly and noticed his gaze at the clock. "So when's the hot date, cause obviously that whole not having a life is a lie with the way you're checking that clock." Florie teased him lightly.
"Work is life." Sullivan answered, completely unfettered by the words the twins have used. He never really had been a patient person when his subconscious part is yelling at him to do work. Supervise. Some teams haven't submitted their files and all those stuff. "Became a habit, sorry if that was kinda rude." He apologized before taking another bite. Well, it wasn't like it wasn't true anyway. He had been pretty honest half the time he's been with the twins.
"You work too much, you're too stiff." She replied as she gazed at him. Florie blinked a couple times before sighing. "You need to loosen up, maybe go and get yourself a hot date, there is more to life then just work." Croix snorted slightly at this and Florie shot him a glare. The majority of Florie's life had become work as well, mainly is was to ensure the affects of the experiment on Croix were holding strong and didn't begin to deteriate him from the inside out. Though on these rare days she did loosen up.
Sullivan crinkled his nose at the suggestion. "Listen to yourself. I bet you two haven't found any boyfriend or girlfriend at all." He stated, a small smile on his face. "Each to our own, Florie. Each to out own. Plus, I'm not exactly that old." He pointed out. He was around his middle 20's. that's not old enough to be forced to look for a partner in life. Youngsters these days, he thought, always looking for romantic interests. He had much bigger things to do, like international threats and nuclear bombs around the corners.
Neither of them denied it. "I haven't changed much Sullivan, not much interested in anyone else." Croix replied. "Yeah yeah, I'm not telling you to get hitched or anything, but you just seem so...well anti people." Florie then added after him. She smirked at him gently before shaking her head slightly as if saying that he was stupid for not widening his horizons. Though then again neither party knew what their jobs implied exactly. If they did know, Florie and Croix would've cut all connections with Sullivan right there and then without a second thought.
"Anti-people." Sullivan repeated the word, snickering a bit. He wouldn't deny it since he can't exactly say he loves all people. Normal innocent people that needs to be protected by threats that they know not of, things like HYDRA and other organizations of the like. "Not much, but maybe I am. I've never really been the friendliest." He added, just in case the twins ask for an explanation or something. He was never going to willingly admit his position in S.H.I.E.L.D. He was the only one of the rank that doesn't have a direct team, because he's the one who handles all of them and make sure no one makes a mistake. He's the organizer, the one who handles all information before submitting it to the director directly. Of course, it would make sense if he's uninterested in all other trivial things like romance.
Florie didn't question, nor did Croix. They both understood when someone had a secret, that was something they both knew all too well. "Understandable, I meet a lot of people like that." Florie said simply put. She too wasn't go in to directly admit to her position at HYDRA. She knew all too well that if she slipped up that could very cost both her and Croix. Sure she had a high ranking position, but in HYDRA that didn't mean much, she was needed for now, but one day she wouldn't be needed and then what? Florie and Croix had lived in fear for quite awhile, though they have also learned to trust only each other. Even though Sullivan was a friend, Florie couldn't help feel he was hiding something and that made her a bit weary of him.
((sorry I thought I already replied in this!))
"I bet you do." Sullivan said, finishing his food. There were a few leftovers, but he never really had been the type to eat a lot. Seeing him even in a place like the one he's in is a total surprise. A pleasant one, to be honest. It just makes him think of all those times some other agents asked him to accompany them in their food expeditions, which he deemed as unimportant and a total waste of his valuable time. But now there he is, doing exactly what he said he would never do unless he retires. Kinda funny, really, and it automatically made his day a lot lighter. "So, do you guys have anywhere else to go?" He asked, because he had been spending a lot of time with them. Maybe he was being inconvenient, and he wouldn't want that.
(don't worry about it)
Florie nodded and finished of her food, while Croix finished her fries happily. After the accident, Croix's appetite had increased do to the increase of energy his body uses, so the fact that he still seemed hungry after eating his food plus Florie's fries wasn't a surprise in the least. "No we are free all day as of now. Why do you want to go do something?" Florie asked curiously. Croix gazed between them and got up ordering another burger and fries to go. While Sullivan may have seen this as odd, Florie was use to it by now. She was surprised he hadn't ordered more, though then again they were a bit tight on money at the moment.
