Write, Wrote, Written discussion

I want to write about dark things, not the kind that lurks under little children’s beds or the ones tucked inside the little too quiet alleys. The kind of dark I want to write about is the one inside us, all of us. The kind you can’t run from, because it’s a part of you, because it is you. The evil you feel but hide inside you, to keep from being called strange… misfit. I want to tug at every one of those strings inside you, if you let me and I know you will. That’s the thing. It yearns for somebody to tug it. I don’t quite know why, maybe so you can have a reason other than yourself for bringing it out. That way you can hide behind me, call me the strange one. But you know it and I know it, it exists within you, thumping through your veins.
Who are you when no one’s looking? Does anyone else know that you? Would you let them? And if you did, would they back away from you? Would they stay and show you theirs? Do you dare to find out?
