Not only will I be around but I am all alone this weekend, just me and my books and my cat.So, count me in!
I am in. I have no plans at all this weekend and hope it is as productive as last weekend was reading-wise. :-)
Sounds like fun but I've got big packing, painting, cleaning plans this long weekend to get my house ready to put on the market! Hopefully I'll get a minute or two to read! I'd like to finish The Maze Runner and I'll probably finish listening to the audiobook of Red Glove! :) But no strict reading plans for me this weekend.
Yay, glad you are joining us Dawn Michelle! Elyse, sounds like a good audio book weekend for you :) I'm going to clean out my closet and drawes one day this weekend so I got an audio book for that to make it a little more fun :)
Sunday I'm "cashing in" my husband's Mother's Day gift to me - 24 hours free of baby duty! So I'll definitely get some reading in that day.
I just added up all the remaining pages in the books I have going right now. The total is 1212 pages and about 5 hours of audio....hahaha probably a very slim chance that I will even come close to that but it will be fun trying! I'm looking forward to the next 76 hours, let the fun begin!!!
Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. I did a lot of reading between last night and this morning but I had to take a break to do some errands, and we had a little BBQ. Now I've got a couple of hours to read before bed!!
Memorial Day Weekend Readathon:1. Daimon by Jennifer Armentrout Friday/Saturday
2. Elixir by Jennifer Armentrout Saturday
3. Cress by Marissa Meyer
My husband just asked me if I was coming to bed. I wanted to say I'm going to keep reading as long as I can keep my eyes open but he wouldn't understand...haha
I am about 125 pages into The Virgin Cure by Ami McKay and about 20% done with No Rest for the Wicket by Donna Andrews. I am going to see The Avengers tomorrow and will read tomorrow night. I hope to finish The Virgin Cure then. It is VERY slow going. I am not loving it and would put it aside, but it is part of my reading challenge so I have to keep going. UGH!. :-)Andrea, that is funny; no one in my family would understand either. :-)
I've been reading . . . have finished two books so far this weekend (Gilt Trip by Laura Childs, and A Hearth in Candlewood by Delia Parr.I've got another one started, The Limpopo Academy of Private Detection by Alexander McCall Smith.
I just finished Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the Endby Atul Gawande. This weekend challenge is going to spur me on!
The next book I hope is lighter!!!

Good going, Patricia!
I love Alexander McCall Smith, Karol.
Well, I got called into work today so there goes a good chunk of my reading time!

I read two chapters yesterday, and another two today. Just over a hundred pages in three days... funny what good progress looks like to me now compared to a few months ago.
Charleen, enjoy these years. Someday you will have your reading time back again and you'll wish you had a baby to snuggle...haha
I have about 230 pages to read in Jennifer Haigh's book the Condition. I finished all of the other books on my list. The only thing that I didn't get to finish was my book on tape. My CD player would not work in my laptop and as much as I hate missing a goal I was not willing to sit in my car for 3 hours.
I'm off to finish this book racing against the clock...hahah

Oh, I know, it just takes some getting used to how things are now. It's different, but definitely not in a bad way.
We do miss seeing you so much around here Charleen, your absence is felt xoxoxo
I finished my last book! I cannot even see right now, I think I read almost 500 pages today. I'll do my found tomorrow and write all of my reviews.
Thank you to everyone who participated! I hope it got you motivated to get some reading done.

I finished David and Goliath: Underdogs, Misfits, and the Art of Battling Giants by Malcolm Gladwell. love reading Malcolm Gladwell as he always has me thinking. This is a great book that looks at the underdog and how they are successful at times that you would never think they would be starting with the story of David and Goliath. It also talks about dyslexia, Northern Ireland and Martin Luther King.
I did find some time to read and I finished The Maze Runner and got halfway through The Scorch Trials. I didn't finish Red Glove, as we listened to music instead while cleaning. Didn't get any painting done. Shooting for next weekend.
I read Daimon, Elixir, and only got halfway through Cress and Atlantia.Oh well, there's always next weekend . . .
