Talk about your favorite books of 2013

message 2: by Jen (new)

Jen | 17 comments I would love to know everyone's favorite book- I don't want to miss that one "must read" book out there! I would say mine was Barely Breathing so far this year. Loved that ending- it gave me chills. Can't wait for the next in the series!

Jen - Did you read both breathing books? I can't wait for the 3rd one to come out in July. I loved that series! For 2013, my favorites so far have been "Hopeless" and "The Edge of Never" I am sure there will be many more as the year is just beginning :)

message 4: by Debbie (new)

Debbie My favorite book of 2012 is The Language of Flowers.

I haven't heard of that Debbie. Will have to look it up :)

Hayley Fisher-perrin | 8 comments Hopeless for sure! Wonderful book. Daughter of Smoke and Bone/Days of Blood and Starlight is right up there for me too. Also eagerly awaiting Out Of Breath!

Yes! The breathing series was also a favorite of mine in 2012! It's a must read for everyone. I miss Evan!! :)

Jen | 17 comments Ooh, I loved Edge of Never and Hopeless, too. Just finished The Edge of Never- really liked that one, too! So many good ones lately. I'm also curious to know your biggest disappointments. What book were you really excited to read and let down by? My most recent was Crash. I really wanted to like it. But at some points it was just beyond cheesy to me. I liked Kellan Kyle in Thoughtless, but overall the book drove me nuts! She freakin flip flipped so many times!! I mean, what was even that special about her that these men were fighting over her throughout the whole book?!?!

Taking Chances was my least favorite book I read this year. The "love" never felt real to me and this story just felt really childish and hard to believe.

Adding a new favorite "The Sea of Tranquility"

message 11: by Shani (new)

Shani | 2 comments Ok so I read some freaking phenomenal books in a few different genres in 2012, and I have great expectations for several 2013 releases. So far, however, my 2013 favorites are One Week Girlfriend by Monica Murphy, and both Rock Stars Do It Dirty and Rock Stars Do It Forever which are sequels and are a part of the spin-off of the 2012 series Big Girls Do It... (Better, Wetter, Wilder, On Top) series - all by Jasinda Wilder. These books rock!

Shani | 2 comments Since HR is my all-time fave genre, I have to also add One Good Earl Deserves a Lover from Sarah Maclean's Rules of Scoundrels series. God I love everything she writes!

So far my favorite has been Love Unscripted and Love Unrehearsed By Tina Reber. Still can't shake those characters.

Mary Haraf | 2 comments My favorite of 2013 so far is Rock and Roll Never Forgets. Amazing book!

message 17: by Alicia (new)

Alicia (aliciaclarkreads) | 5 comments So far I'd have to go with NEVER TOO FAR. I also really liked Metamorphosis. Molly, I can't wait for the sequel. So excited! Have you read the snippet from Mason's pov? I heard the sequel is supposed to be from all three pov's.

message 18: by Joanna (new)

Joanna I haven't purchased Never Too Far because it is only 188 pages. I was afraid that it was going to be to short.. and not good. But you all are saying it is worth it??? I may have to rethink this.

Jessica Langlais | 54 comments Mod
Yes, it's really good Joanna. But you have to read the first one in the series "Fallen Too Far" first.

message 20: by Joanna (new)

Joanna Ahhh.. good to know.. and that one is much longer.. makes it worth it. :) Is that all there is in the series? 2, or should I prepare myself for another cliffhanger and have to wait for a 3rd? That has been killing me lately, I get into a series and then have to wait forever for the next.. and by the time it comes out.. I have moved on to something else.

message 21: by Renae (new)
