Glanchester Academy (An Advanced Roleplay) discussion

For sharing ideas for the roleplay plot.

Hmm...maaayybee Osharia has dragons? And the dragons suddenly disrupt the otherwise peaceful life of Glanchester/areas around the academy??
Someone (*cough* Lucas *cough*) breaks the rules and sneaks into one of the other houses/training rooms? (or is that completely out of the question?)
Or a convoy (of dragon riders?) arrives from the king, and they're looking for one student from each house to serve and train as...as...*sigh*

Ooooh, I like the idea of using dragons! And also someone breaking the rules big time. We also probably need to get started on the schoolyear, too.

Yes, dragons. Definitely dragons. Because dragons=necessary part of nearly any fantasy setting. ;D

Do you all think I should make discussions for different places? Like a training room for each house, and then different places in the main house?

So there's a library, the assembly room, a kitchen...how about a recreation area? Are video games around in this time period yet??

I looove all those ideas. I'm getting a Harry Potter vibe here that I LOVE! It's like a medieval version of Harry Potter/Avatar. Maybe along with the popular mythical creatures, we can make up our own for this story.

Mmm, probably not. They do have electric lights, though. Not very sophisticated ones, but they have them. But yeah, a recreation area sounds good. I think everything will be shared except training rooms and the lounges.

That's a good idea, about making up mythical creatures! WAIT WE NEED ELVES PEOPLE BECAUSE LEGOLAS. *cough* But we don't want this to turn into Middle Earth...

I wouldn't mind. It'd be cool if this were like a mix of all kinds of different "worlds"

Maybe they could be a different *kind* of elf? Like, not Tolkien type elves, but more mythical? You know, small, mischievous, probably with oddly colored skin? Just a thought...

That's a good idea. But not Santa Claus type elves. ;)

Centaurs are already a go, I believe, maybe satyrs. They're pretty much the same thing as the fauns from Narnia, right?

Should we have other types of classes aside from the training?

Mmm, good idea. Maybe a history class to study the history of Osharia. Maybe a science class, for studying the science behind the elements?

Will there be teachers/trainers for each class?

Yes, a teacher and a teaching assistant, usually a year four student or a recent graduate. I think Zephyr's teaching assistant is going to be Riley, if that's okay with everyone. :)
