The caravan comes to town for a week at a time to sell goods for gold.

Heal Potion - Allows healing up to 10 health during a battle. (Price: 5 Gold)
Minor Poison Potion - Poisons the monster causing 2 amount of additional damage at the beginning of the turn. (Price: 5 Gold)

Culinary Supplier
5 servings of salt for use in cooking. (Price: 10 Gold)

Goods Trader
Cat Familiar - A small kitten is for sale. You think with a month of training you could teach her to be a familiar. Training costs 4 books with fish on the cover or in the title fed to the kitten one book a week for 4 weeks. (Books may be spaced out at longer intervals but must be at least a week between books.) Once trained your familiar will attack monsters for 2 HP at the beginning of each battle. (Price: 40 Gold)
Hat Hat - A hat hat is a peculiar hat that can duplicate the drops of any common (non timed) animal. You're not sure if it's spitting out goblin bones out of an alternate universe or just some from goblins that it ate before but either way the additional skeletal remains are appreciated. The hat must be worn during the battle and only one hat may be worn at a time. (Price: 50 Gold)
Trained Squirrel - This squirrel has been trained by the famed trained squirrel trainers of Ammular. It will fetch you one nut each week for your stores. Nuts may be used in cooking. (Price: 30 Gold)

Book of the Month Sales
The following books are available for purchase. Buying one of the books enables you to use it as if you had read the book. Each book may only be bought once per person.

Each ad may only be answered once per person.
* Looking for book with 600-700 pages, willing to pay 3 gold.
* Looking for a book with a a bright orange cover, willing to pay 3 gold.
* Looking for a book with no numbered chapters, willing to pay 2 gold.
* Looking for a book that starts with the letter Q, willing to pay 2 gold.
* Looking for a book where the author's first name starts with Y, willing to pay 3 gold.
* Looking where the main character has a pet cat, willing to pay 2 gold.

Looking for a particular book? Have extra books you're willing to sell? List them in the thread for others to sell/buy. Be sure to list a selling or purchasing price. First person to offer a book that meets the requirements makes the sell and first person to answer an ad will make the buy. Books purchased may be used the same as any book you would have read normally. Participation may not be bartered.

Common items may also be sold including drops from common creatures, potions, eggs and cooking components.

Example Offer: Sugarplums and Scandal for sale! Great book to use to rescue faeries! 5 gold to buy your chance to see a real fairy!!!!

Example Request: Looking for a in-betweeners book! Offering 3 gold.

Each hero may sell up to 5 books and 5 items on the open market. Additional books or items may be sold for a tax of 0.5 gold per item. Taxes will be collected at the end of the caravan and it is up to the individual hero to perform his or her own tax analysis. Tax help software is not available.

I think I can read it in a couple days at most as it's rather short. The book is Conta le stelle (Number the Stars) by Lois Lowry.

Had to reread rules. It says sell only. And that works for open market only. So those you sell to caravan don't count.
