I feel almost all of the YA paranormal romance books are same. The same hate and then love plot.
It was in Twilight, Obsidian, and this Hush Hush
Thats probally why I don't read as much paranormal as I did before. The genre has pretty much been explored in every possible way, for now at least.
I agree but still can't stop reading them and i like the surprise when your expecting it to be one way and the author changes it up
Pretty much the only "copy cat book" that actually made me slightly peeved was Endless Summer being followed by The Summer I Turned Pretty about two years after.I think the only reason it made me peeved was because all of the debates and slander saying that Echols actually copied Han, when Echols' book came first. >.>
Well there are so many books in the world so some of them are bound to be quite similar. Wish that wasn't the case!
no I don't think so I went in and read about it and it doesn't sound the some cause I read the mystic wolves and liked them and I thought when i saw it it was a new one in the series but I don't think they are even in the same category
Oh, similar covers!!! Completely forgot to post those. Those are fun to find lol... It's like eye spy...
There are really so many similar covers. And I don't think so.I actually think that most publishers get the covers just from the internet because years ago, I was following this guy on devianart and he had this awesome, awesome, picture. Then, I found it on a cover at the store just a year ago.
I forgot what book it was. I'll think for a moment, lol
Jenny wrote: "lol, it's so weird how covers look exactly the same. I'm thinking that most maybe indie or less-known authors publishers would do that but Twilight seems to be having the same picture as the pictur..."Twilight was actually published before the other one, so the other one actually has the same picture as Twilight does.
Oh, I completely forgot, that boot I was talking about... up there ^...
That cover was from my friends devianart profile.
So, I think publishers just grab photos off the inter web.
And sometimes they grab photos that are already on covers.
I think some authors take them off the web, but not before requesting permission from the artist (or else they could be sued). Somewhere on the back cover, jacket, or publication page, it's supposed to tell who did the cover design and picture. So, I wonder if you checked for that info on these "copy-cat" covers, what they would say.

Have you ever read a book and then thought "Haven't I read something like this before??? I'm talking about books with extremely similar covers, plots or chracters. For example:
Both have similar plots - Dystopian world where the protagonist has a little something extra that makes them standout.
Similar romances - Love Triangle
And Similar Personalities - good girl gone bad, or should I say bad girls found out?
So tell us if you have ever encountered this.
