●Emilie originally grew up in Vancouver, Washington, she was raised by her parents Tammy and Peter Dallas and had a fairly good life. She was three years old when her younger sister Pauline was born and brought home from the hospital, and at three, she hated that fact that baby Pauline was getting more attention than her. Her parents became aware of this after a few weeks and talked to Em about it, telling her that she was still their little girl and that they still loved her, but that they had to share their love with Pauline too. It took a while for Emilie to fully get over this, but when she did things became normal again. She was put into Elementary school at the age of five, as most children are. Went into middle school and high school and earned straight A's on all of her report cards that got her accepted into nursing school at the age of 16 after graduating from high school during her sophomore year. Now, at the age of 23, Em decided to move to Forks to try and begin her own life away from her parents and her sister Pauline, she put in for a job as a nurse at the hospital and has been working there for about five months now.

In La Push, the Quileute Reservation directly beside the town of Forks, Jacob Black was just beginning to wake up. He let out a loud yawn and rolled off of his tiny mattress in his tiny room, rubbing his eyes he stumbled heavily out his bedroom door and headed towards the bathroom to brush his teeth and shower. After his shower, Jacob headed back to his room and got dressed; a pair of jeans and a black T-shirt. Still yawning, he walked from his room and into the bathroom yet again to throw his towel into the laundry hamper next to the sink and went out into the living room. His dad was already in the truck, revving the engine, hurrying, Jacob ran out the front door after pulling on his shoes. His dad's old friend Charlie Swan's daughter Bella and Eliza had come back to Forks and Jacob was going with his dad to see them. The drive seemed to last forever, but in reality it didn't take long to arrive at the Swan residence. When Jake and his dad pulled up Charlie was standing outside with both of his daughters, waiting in the driveway. Their heads looked up from their conversation when Jacob climbed out of the passenger side to help his dad into his chair before he headed towards the three, pushing Billy in his chair ahead of him.

~-~
Once Jacob and his dad had reached Charlie and his daughters Jacob set the brakes on his dad's chair and straightened up. He greeted Charlie with a nod before tilting his head slightly to the side to grin over at Eliza and Bella. "Hi Eliza, Bella," he nodded at them. "Long time no see." Jake took a step back when Charlie came up behind Billy's chair and took off the brakes, beginning to wheel Billy up towards the front steps of the Swan's white two story house. Shoving his hands into his pockets Jacob watched for a moment before looking back over at the two girls he stood by, "I bet you guys probably don't remember me. If you don't, my name's Jacob. We used to make mud pies together and play hide-and-seek in the woods when we were little." He smiled, pointing his chin at the green canopy of trees behind the Swan house.

~-~
Jacob smiled when he heard Eliza say that she remembered him and when she recalled how they used to get Bella in trouble and how he had allowed her to call him Jakey. "I remember you used to let me call you Kitten, you'd get mad if anyone used that nickname for you other than me." He was surprised by Eliza's hug and turned to follow her when she walked towards the truck. "Charlie asked me to fix it up for you and Bella, he said that you two would need a way to get to and back from school by yourselves." Jake smiled when she commented on how good the truck looked, "Yeah, well, you can thank me for that. Did a little bit of a touch up on it before giving it to you two, after all, we don't want you driving around in a rusty pickup now do we?"

~-~
Jacob laughed lightly when Eliza stuck her tongue out at him, she used to do that to him a lot when they were younger and he would tease her. He jumped slightly when she squeezed his bicep, turning and going around to the passenger side door, Bella following behind him. Climbing into the truck, Jake slid over to the middle seat and waited for Eliza and Bella to get in. He figured he should be closest to Eliza since this was probably her first time driving a truck like this, or driving at all for that matter. "Okay, so when you want to start the truck, you have to double-pump the clutch, and you'll have to do it when you shift too." He instructed Eliza, clipping his seatbelt on around his waist.

~-~
Jacob smirked and raised his hands, "I'm sorry! It's been how long since I've seen you? I didn't know if you knew how to drive or not." He shook his hands and lowered his hands back to his lap, watching as Eliza started to engine and they drove around for a bit before heading back to the Swan house. "Nice driving, Kitten." Jake said once he had climbed out of the truck, giving Eliza's shoulder a gentle squeeze. He watched her hug Billy and then her dad before stepping back, his dad accepted her thank you with a 'you're welcome' and smiled up at Eliza from his wheelchair. "Well, I imagine the two of you and Jacob have some catching up to do," Billy's eyes flicked from Eliza to Bella and then to Jacob and back again, "So Charlie and I will head inside to watch the game and you guys can have a good time together." Jacob smiled when his dad smiled at him and shoved his hands into the pockets of his jeans, watching Charlie as he wheeled his dad up to front steps and into the house.

~-~
"You're welcome, Kitten," Jacob smiled down at Eliza. He had grown taller than her over the years, he could remember when they were younger and he was shorter than both her and Bella. Eliza used to make fun of him often for his shortness. "Probably the same things the kids in La Push do, hike, swim, hang out, party, we're pretty much one of the same." A smile lifted the corners of his mouth when Eliza asked about hiking spots, so she was still into hiking after all these years? "Yeah, anywhere in the woods is pretty much a good place to hike, the cliffs around La Push are interesting, but not safe if you're close to the edge."

~-~
Jacob looked down at her, a smile pulling up the corners of his mouth. She sure did know how to get what she wanted from him. He nodded and raised his hands in a surrender, "We can go for a walk. Wherever you want to go," he said and glanced down at Eliza warmly. Lowering his hands, Jake shoved them into his sweatshirt pockets. "So, where would you like to go?" He asked Eliza, noting that she was standing closer to him than they had started out as, though he decided not to think anything of it. Eliza and him were friends, didn't friends stand as close as they were all the time? Mentally he shrugged the question off, throwing his arm around Eliza's shoulders as he started walking towards the forest behind Charlie's house. He had figured she would want to go on a walk in the forest instead of on the street through the city of Forks, and he had the feeling he was right.

~-~
When Eliza stopped to look up at the canopy of leaves that was above their heads when they stepped into the forest Jacob stopped for a moment and turned his head to watch her, chuckling lightly when she asked him about the permanent smell of rain that lingered in the forest rain. "Are you even from Forks?" He asked her before nodding, "Yes, it smells like rain here all the time." Jake lowered his arm from her shoulders when the two of them began crossing a river and Eliza stepped up onto a log, her arms outstretched to keep her balance as she walked at the same pace as him on the way across. But she slipped, tumbling towards the water below. In a quick reaction, Jacob lunged forward, his arms wrapping around her waist and catching her just barely before she could it the water, all that touched the river was her fingers. "Do I need to carry you across, Kitten?" He asked her playfully, standing her upright, removing his arms from her waist as he cleared his throat awkwardly.

~-~
Jacob chuckled under his breath when Eliza clung tightly to him while he maneuvered across the river, his strong arms supporting her easily. "Don't worry, Kitten, I won't let you go," he said, his voice coated with that promise. Once he reached the other side of the river he set her back on her feet almost reluctantly, his arm lingering at her waist for a moment before he pulled it back and shoved his hands into the pockets of his sweatshirt. "Well, you can walk across logs on the river, but you should make sure I'm with you to catch you when you fall first," he said, running a hand over his long hair, thinking how he should probably cut it, but his sister Rachel wouldn't be too happy about that, she had always loved his hair long. He lowered his free hand to his side and glanced over at Eliza, making sure she wasn't too shaken up by her near falling in the ice cold river experience.

~-~
Jacob nodded at her words and smiled when she giggled, her giggle was adorable, as was her smile. He laughed lightly when she comment on his hair, "Yeah. I've been thinking about cutting it short though, it's kind of a hassle. Now I know what it's like for you girls to have long hair," he smiled and his eyes widened the slightest bit when she curled a piece of his dark hair around her index finger and locked eyes with him. He was all to aware of the space between their bodies and their lips, the back of his neck growing hot as he looked down at her. "It's fine," he said, rubbing a hand across the back of his neck when she pulled away.

~-~
Jacob followed along behind her as they continued walking through the forest, laughing when she said that he shouldn't cut his hair and promising her that he wouldn't until he couldn't stand having it long, that seemed to make her happy. He watched her as she moved energetically over the fallen moss-covered logs that made up most of the forest floor. "Sure, we can go back if you would like," he said when she commented on how she had gotten cold. "I'll bet I can beat you at a game of pool," he challenged, smiling down at her from his height above her. "I'll carry you across the river," he said, clearing his throat before quickly adding, "If you want me to."

~-~
Jake shook his head and chuckled, "Nah. I'm going to beat you, I've got mad skill," he said, his spine erect when she stuck her tongue out at him just to lick his cheek and whisper how he could carry her anywhere in his ear. For a moment, his hands began to shake in his sweatshirt pockets and he watched her as she pulled away and ran to the riverbank. It took him only a second to recover by knowing that she was waiting for him, and he walked towards her. When he reached her he scooped her up easily in his arms, one arm around her back, the other supporting her legs as he began to walk slowly yet steadily across the river before arriving at the other end and reluctantly setting her back down on her feet.

~-~
When he set her down he had been just about to continue walking when he heard her say his name...God how his name sounded amazing coming from her mouth. "Yes, Kitten?" He asked, turning his body towards her, head cocked to the side as he listened to her tell him about how much she had missed him. "I've missed you a lot, too," he said, smiling at her, "And come on, we both know you missed this"-he said and motioned to his face with both of his hands, laughing for a moment. "But you look great, Kitten, I'm so glad that you decided to come back and not stay in Phoenix," he admitted, moving the dirt under his feet with his boot, looking down at his feet, embarrassed about what he had just said to her.

~-~
"Oh please, Kitten, you look great, don't try to tell yourself any different," he jumped lightly when she poked him in the side, if she had any memory of their childhood together she would certainly know that he had a very ticklish ribcage, but then again that was probably why she had poked him in the first place. "Well, I'm not technically in Forks, but I'm close enough," he corrected her, nudging her gently while he kept pace with her. "Bella's not changed a bit," he commented, laughing quietly at his own words. "I could say I prefer you over her."

Unsure of what to do for the remaining time, Emilie took a seat I her kitchen and tried to read the newspaper, but she gave up on that after a bit. Once she found something to keep her busy though, the time passed quickly, she was just getting herself a glass from one of the white cupboards in her kitchen for some water when she heard the engine of a car stop in front of her house. Not long after that there came a knock at the door which caused her to jump and drop her glass in the sink, luckily it didn't break. Taking a deep breath, Emilie walked from the kitchen to the front door, pausing for just a heartbeat to take another breath before opening the door. She couldn't help but smile back at Carlisle, who stood on her doorstep with a bouquet of roses in his hand, she felt her cheeks heat up. "You didn't have to bring me roses, Carlisle," Emilie said, swallowing and looking back up at him, "But thank you, they're beautiful."

It was late at night, Jacob was alone in his house, his dad had decided to go over to the Clearwater's place, for what Jake had no idea whatsoever. But it was good for Billy to get out of the house, and Jacob wasn't about to argue with him about going, his dad needed some time with his friends. So, for an hour Jacob had sat in his living room watching some kind of baseball game on his crappy television, but he had gotten bored of that quickly. He decided to go out to the garage and work on the Volkswagen Rabbit he was rebuilding, he came back inside when it started to rain heavily because of the garage's leaking roof. Being covered in grease and oil he decided to take a shower and wash up, after his shower he threw on a pair of sweatpants and an old T-shirt. Around midnight he finally went to his room and fell onto his bed, but he didn't sleep, the rain was too heavy for him to sleep, and he liked to sound of it on the roof of his house.
He had no idea how long he laid there listening to the rain, but he must've dozed off. The sound of many knocks on the front door woke him up, he rolled over and looked at the alarm clock he had set up on his makeshift nightstand that really was just a cardboard box. It was around one in the morning, had Billy forgotten his keys? Shaking his head and groaning, Jacob sat up before standing up and stumbled out into the living room, through the kitchen and to the front door. It took him a moment to figure out the lock because he was still not quite awake, before opening the door he flicked on the outside light. When he opened the doors, his eyes fell upon a soaking wet Eliza. Without giving it a second thought, Jacob grabbed her wrist and pulled her inside out of the rain. "Is something wrong?" He asked her, leading her through the kitchen to the living room before going to his room and returning with some black sweatpants and a long sleeve shirt of his, he handed them to her, realizing that she was crying and pulled her into his chest in a warm embrace. "What is the matter, Kitten?"

~-~
"Shh, it's okay, Kitten. I'm sure she didn't mean it, Bella loves you and so does Charlie," Jacob murmured, stroking her wet hair, his chin on top of her head and his other hand on her back as she clung to him, her cold body shivering next to his warm one. "You don't have to go back if you don't want to, but I think Charlie'd miss you," Jake said, sitting down on the edge of his bed when she started to cry and pulling her on to his lap, cradling her. His T-shirt was soaked, but he didn't care about that, he needed to take care of Eliza right now. He rocked back and forth slowly, his chin still resting on the top of her head as he tried to soothe her. Outside he could still hear the rain pounding on the roof, it was a good thing he had gotten out of bed and opened the door or Eliza would still be out there. "You should change your clothes, Kitten, I don't want you getting hypothermia," he said, genuinely worried as she continued to shiver.

~-~
Jacob nodded, his arms hugging her against him, not holding her to tightly or to softly. "You can stay, and don't worry about Billy, I'm sure he won't mind," he glanced down at her for a moment, feeling her fingers drawing invisible designs on his copper skin. "Don't worry about my shirt, it's just a shirt, after all," he replied to Eliza's apology for getting him soaking wet. When she stood up he pulled his shirt off over his head and threw it with acquired skill across the small room to a small laundry hamper. He noticed how shaky she was and almost followed her motions, worried that she might collapse, he wondered how long she had walked; it had to a longer distance than she was used to. His eyes watched her movements carefully, making sure that she wasn't to shaky and that she could stand on her own, Jacob would help her if she couldn't. When she struggled with the laces of her boots Jake knelt down next to her, catching her hands by the wrists and setting them gently on her knee while his fingers untied the laces of her boots one at a time and pulled them off of her feet. He looked up from where he knelt, his brown eyes meeting hers and he just stayed there for a moment, searching her eyes for something, but what he was not entirely sure.

~-~
He knew that if she wasn't as tired as she probably was Eliza probably would've smacked his hand away and untied her boots herself, but she didn't though he felt the muscles in her wrists contract in a reflex as she almost did smack his hand away, but she seemed to think otherwise and allowed him to guide her hands to her lap. Jacob laughed lightly once when Eliza asked him when he had gotten abs, he looked up at her from under his eyelashes while he pulled off her boots after untying their laces, "I've had abs since before you got here," he told her, looking back down at his hands that now held her boots before placing them next to the foot of his bed, he would take them out of his room and put them next to the wood stove to dry in a bit. He considered her next words for a moment before looking back at her and shaking his head, "If you are really to tired to take your clothes off yourself, then no, it wouldn't be weird of you to ask me," he replied, his arm resting on his bent knee while he looked at her. His arm opposite arm wrapped around her when she hunched forward, pressing her head to the crook of his neck, scooting closer so that she could lean her whole body against him since she was still shivering. He smiled when she mentioned how warm he was and nodded slowly, "Yeah, I'm always warm lately."
((Just something I forgot to ask about before we started: Did you want Jacob--when the fever sets in and he phases for the first time and finds out about being heir to the place of Alpha and all that--to imprint on Eliza or just keep it the same way it is in the books, where he imprints on Bella's daughter?))

Emilie was certain that she blushed at the happy man's words, lowering her eyes to the floor as the corners of her mouth tugged up with a smile. So Carlisle had been right, the owner would react about him bringing someone other than his family to this restaurant. But the happy man didn't seem to be giving Carlisle a hard time about it yet, he just seemed to be happy for Carlisle and that he had finally found someone. Of course, Emilie was happy about that as well, but it made her all the more happier that that someone was her. She lifted her eyes to watch the embrace between Carlisle and the happy man, who Carlisle introduced as Roberto. "Ciao, Roberto," Emilie said, smiling. Her high school in Vancouver had offered a course on Italian which she had taken, so she knew how to say a few things in the language. "Piacere di conoscerti."
[Translation:
"Hello, Roberto."
"Nice to meet you."]
~-~
Jacob chuckled once at Eliza's words, telling him that his abs were nice, "Thank you, Kitten," he replied, smiling. He felt her yawn as he held her with an arm around her after he had removed her muddy boots, his breath nearly catching in his throat when she asked him to undress her, he met her eyes and noticed that her pupils were dilated. He had seen other people's eyes like that before, and in movies it was clearly portrayed as the feeling of lust. His eyes followed her when she stood on unsteady legs and started fumbling with the snap of her jeans, after a moment of watching her struggle he too stood up.
Jake gently guided her hands away as he began to unbutton her jeans almost easily since he was not where near as shaky as she was, he continued helping her undress after he had undid her jeans and worked them down slowly to her ankles taking her hands to steady her as he helped her step out of the denim article of clothing. He now began on unzipping her jacket that was also soaking wet, he felt her lean into him as he did this, sliding the jacket off of her shoulders and setting it lightly on the ground. A chuckle rumbled in his chest when she told him that he was beautiful, "You should see yourself, Kitten," he replied. His fingers sliding under the bottom of her soaked T-shirt and pulling it off over her head gently. After he had removed her shirt he stood there for a moment, he could feel desire burning in his stomach for her while he stood with her leaning against his chest after he had undressed her like she had asked him to do.

Em took a step forward to follow Roberto, smiling when he said that he would clear out the patio just for her and Carlisle, telling the doctor that he would only do this for his lady and Emilie felt her cheeks heat up at that. "You won't be able to get rid of me now," she said to Carlisle quietly as he placed his hand on her back, pushing her gently forward as they both followed Roberto. She looked up at Carlisle when he asked how much Italian she knew and she shrugged, "I only know a little bit, my high school in Vancouver offered an Italian class," she replied.
~-~
Jacob watched Eliza for a moment and how she kept opening and shutting her mouth like she had something to say but wasn't quite sure how to say it, after a moment she just clamped her mouth shut and stared up at him and he was almost at a loss for words. Not once had he ever imagined that the two of them would be standing in his little bedroom in his house, him with his shirt removed and her without a single article of clothing on other than her undergarments. Sure, he had dreamed about it, but not once had he thought that it would actually happen.
He chuckled lightly when she pretty much jumped into his arms at the sound of a loud clap of thunder, so the rain storm turned out to be more than just a rain storm, it was now a full blown lightning storm. Sheets of heavy rain were pounding against the long window in Jacob's bedroom, and every now and again a flash of lightning would light up the backyard. He exhaled lightly, feeling her lips on his shoulder, and he pulled away for a moment to place a finger under her chin, gently pulling her face up to look into her eyes. For a moment, he hesitated, worried that Eliza would punch him for what he was about to do, but the hesitation only lasted for a heartbeat. He leaned forward slowly, pressing his forehead to hers lightly, his eyes searching hers for any kind of warning that he should not be doing this, but he found nothing. And so, as a loud clap of thunder was heard outside, he ever so gently pressed his lips to hers, waiting for her to pull away and punch him.

When he glanced down at her, Emilie dropped her hand so that he could see her wide smile. She had the feeling he was just as happy about this as she was, her cheeks flushed at his words, saying how he would never want to get rid of her, "You have no idea how glad I am to hear you say that," she murmured, looking back at the little table when she was told to sit, afraid to mess up the perfection of this scene, but she moved towards the table anyways and she smiled when Carlisle pulled her chair out for her before taking his own seat, such a gentleman, she thought, gently touching the lace tablecloth that was laid over the little table, eyes looking up to see lit candles as well. "Thank you for this, Carlisle, no one has ever done anything like this for me before," she said quietly, looking at the nearby fire, the orange flames illuminating her eyes so that they looked like blue flames.
~-~
Jacob's hand that had been under Eliza's chin moved to her waist as did his other hand that had been wrapped around her shoulders, pulling her into his body, her frame molding to his perfectly as he held her, feeling her arms draped around his neck and pulling his lips down harder on hers. His grip tightened on her waist as his mouth became rough against hers, more hungry. The heat from his body rolling off of him and being absorbed into hers due to how close they were. As a clap of thunder rang outside his grip tightened on her waist more as he ever so slowly began picking her up, his mind completely overruled by his now undying want for her. His mind was foggy right now, he felt as if he were intoxicated by Eliza and that every one of his nerves was like a live-wire, burning under his skin at the feeling of her touch, it was nothing like anything he had ever experienced before.

[Translation:
"I would like to have the spaghetti alla puttanesca, please."]
~-~
With an arm supporting her easily, Jacob shifted slightly and leaned over to grab the edge of his bedroom door before slamming it roughly shut. It was only a second before he hand returned to Eliza's skin, but it felt like a lifetime to him, like he couldn't last even a heartbeat without touching her. His hand on his waist moved to grip the thigh of the leg she had wrapped around his hip while his other arm supported her body which he lifted up. Only did he pull away from kissing her when he needed to breathe, and he tried to make his pauses as short as he could before he went back to kissing her again, for her lips had become like an addiction. Walking towards the wall adjacent to the window he pinned Eliza's back against the wall, his arm that had been supporting her reaching for her other leg and wrapping it around his waist, he was now gripping both of her thighs in his hands while he kissed her, the wall behind her giving her the proper leverage she needed to stay upright.

~-~
When he had pulled away to breathe Jacob felt Eliza's lips against his neck before she nipped at the skin their, making him jump slightly before her tongue slid over where she had just nipped him and he pulled her mouth back up to his. He felt her hands scratching lightly down his chest before he felt her playing with the hem of his sweatpants, a low, almost growl-like sound coming from his chest. Carefully, his hands that were gripping her thighs and supporting her easily, he carried her from where he had pushed her back against the wall to his bed, setting her down on her back gently before pulling away for a moment to look into her eyes, his body hovering above hers as he searched for a sign that he should stop. But all he could think about was that he wanted her, all of her, right now and for the rest of his life.

~-~
((Skip please))

~-~
Billy Black had returned to his home early in the morning, probably around two o'clock. He had been completely and utterly exhausted from staying up so late talking to Harry and Sue Clearwater and having a few small conversations with their kids Leah and Seth. But he had a good time, he had been needing to get out of the house for a while, and he knew Charlie was probably busy with work so he had decided to go see the Clearwaters. Later that same morning, around eight thirty or so, Billy was wheeling himself down the hallway from his bedroom in his wheelchair. Already dressed and ready to start the day, when he reached the end of the hallway he nearly jumped out of his skin at the sight of the petite brunette standing in the kitchen in an oversized T-shirt with her back to him drinking a glass of water. His brows furrowed for a moment before he spoke, "Eliza?" He asked, pushing his chair out of the hallway and onto the linoleum floor of the kitchen.

~-~
Billy's eyes narrowed slightly at Eliza's panicked tone of voice and her red cheeks, as well as her messy hair that surely couldn't have gotten like it was by just sleeping. Her voice was extremely rushed as she seemed to be trying to skip over the elephant in the room. "I see." He said, rolling his chair forward a little. "And did you and Jacob sleep in the same bed?" He asked, head tilting to the side a small amount as he questioned her, though he already knew the answer to his question and it was definitely obvious what had happened when he had been away at the Clearwaters.

~-~
After a moment of silence between Billy and Eliza, the half-awake and yawning Jacob stumbled sleepily out of his little bedroom, wearing nothing but a pair of gray sweatpants. His own hair was a complete mess, though it was no where near as bad as Eliza's was. He stopped on the line where the living room carpet turned into the kitchen linoleum floor, his eyes examining the scene in front of him. His dad nodded at Eliza, his eyes narrowed the slightest bit, "I thank you for your honesty," he said and looked up at his son who had emerged from his room a moment ago before looking back at Eliza and nodded once when she asked him if she could go make breakfast. He wheeled his chair back a bit so that she could get past him and have a clear path to Jacob's bedroom.

~-~
Jacob smiled at Eliza when she greeted him, nodding to her, "Hi Kitten." He remained silent while his dad finished up talking to Eliza, Jake was sure he would hear about this plenty when she returned to her house. When she scooted past him and his dad, Jacob looked back when she shut the door to his bedroom loudly and then looked back to his dad who's expression was completely unreadable. From what Jake could tell, Billy was in deep thought, but that was about all that was readable. It was hard to tell whether the man was angry, upset, or simply emotionless. After a moment of tense silence, Billy wheeled his chair to the living room and settled into his corner of the room. A heartbeat after Eliza emerged from Jacob's bedroom now sporting a pair of his sweatpants that were much to big for her. Jacob smiled at her and was surprised when she pushed him on the couch, saying that his hair was a complete mess. "You should see your hair," he replied and snorted lightly.

As the black Mercedes pulled out of the Italian restaurant parking lot Emilie's bright blue eyes watched as the surrounding area changed as Carlisle drove from the clearing in the middle of the lush green forest known as Forks to just and old road that went into the forest with plants and roots grown over the road as if it were part of the forest floor. When the car stopped and was parked on a gravel area that was bordered by several large logs Emilie looked over at Carlisle, curiosity and excitement bubbling inside of her. She smiled when he made the comment about her shoes, saying how she should be careful on the way down to wherever it was he was taking her, all she knew was that it was by a river. Nodding she shifted once Carlisle got out of the car and hadn't even reached for the seatbelt buckle yet when he was opening her door and leaning into the car to unbuckle her seatbelt for her, all the while his eyes locked on hers. Emmy took the hand that he held out to her after he had unbuckled her seatbelt and she found herself surprised yet again when Carlisle picked her up and lifted her out of the Mercedes, shutting the door with his foot. "I...I'm not too heavy, am I? I can walk if I am," she said quietly, almost whispering, knowing that her she didn't have to speak loudly for him to hear her due to how close they were.

Jacob snorted lightly at her words and nodded slowly, so not to disturb her while she fixed his hair with her gentle fingers. He could feel the eyes of his dad on him, watching the two of them, and Jake wondered what he was thinking. In his chair, Billy watched as Eliza began to fix his son's hair, noting how the two already seemed to have began taking care of each other. He began to wonder about whether or not what he was watching was a sign, but it was almost too early to be able to tell. But the relationship between Jacob and Eliza seemed to run much deeper than he had originally expected; so maybe it was a sign, but he couldn't be exactly positive yet. Once Eliza had finished with Jacob's hair, Billy watched as his son pulled her off the back of the couch where she had been perched with her legs over Jake's shoulders and set her ever so gently on the floor before beginning to fix the girl's hair like she had done for him. Jacob's long fingers gently moved the strands of her dark hair to where they rested more naturally, being sure not to hurt her in any way while he did this. It took some time due to the complete tangled mess Eliza's hair was in, but when he finished Jacob was able to run his fingers through her hair easily without catching any tangles. "Finished," he announced quietly, his voice quiet, surprised how bonding just fixing each other's hair had actually turned out to be.

Also, I figured out Emilie's gift, she can manipulate, detect and absorb the gifts of others around her. So I was thinking that like when she goes to meet the family that Alice might try to see her future or Jasper can try and read her emotions or something and she like completely blocks their ability from affecting her. And when she goes to Italy she can choose what she wants Aro to see if he asks to read her mind or something like that.))

Billy watched the two still, noting how gently Jacob was while he fixed Eliza's hair. Once, Eliza's eyes met those of Billy Black's and they almost seemed to twinkle at him in a way that Billy had never seen before. It surprised him; first the humming that sounded like a chant of some sort, and now her twinkling eyes while Jacob worked on fixing her hair for her, something he had never seen his son do so gently before. When he had finished Jacob smiled down at Eliza when she leaned her head back to look up at him, he nodded, "Yes ma'am." He stood up only after she has rose to her feet, arms coming out to circle her waist when she fell into him, hands clutching his shoulders tightly. Amused, he laughed lightly, "Well, it's a good thing you got me to catch you when he fall. How many times is that now? Twice? Once at the river and now at my house."

Jacob pretended to be hurt when she punched his arm, setting his jaw as he pretended to be angry with her though his expression could be seen through easily and he laughed lightly. "Prettier than me? Did you hear that Dad? She said she's prettier than me!" Billy chuckled and rolled his eyes, shaking his head at the sarcasm in his son's voice. Once in the kitchen, Jacob leaned against the opposite counter from Eliza, hands shoved into the pockets of his sweatpants. "I know that you don't sleep around, Kitten, so from my point of view on things we are in a relationship now," he answered, watching her as she was looking at him with an almost wary look in her eyes.

At the simple lift of a finger, Jacob knew that Eliza wanted him next to her and it took him only two strides to cross the kitchen to where she was leaned up against the counter. He opened his mouth and had been just about to ask Eliza 'The Question' when she very lightly brushed her lips against his. Because of his greater height than hers, Jake had to bend slightly at the waist to kiss her without picking her up, but he didn't mind, though Eliza was so small compared to him he was afraid if he wasn't careful with her he might break her. A smile pulled up the corners of his mouth at how she put her question that would make it utterly impossible to refuse even if he wanted to - which he didn't want to refuse, not at all. "Mmm... Yes, I will," he answered, planting a kiss on her temple.

At her words, Jacob chuckled and nuzzled her neck, inhaling the smell of her skin. Hands gripping her waist when she slid off the counter to press her body tightly to his, he planted a kiss to the edge of her jaw before she moved away to start making breakfast. He helped her when there was something that she couldn't reach because how short she was, or he would lift her up so she could reach whatever she needed herself. "What's for breakfast?" He asked, watching her as she began to cook and lifting himself up to sit on the corner of the counter by the sink, dark eyes following her movements.

"Is that favoritism I hear, Doctor?" Emilie teased lightly when Carlisle spoke, "I don't believe the other nurses would be too happy about that; you and I both know that they are just dying to be your personal nurse." Her heart stuttered in her chest at the smile that Carlisle gave her, her own lips pulling up into a smile in reaction to his. "And even though it will be the gossip of the nurse's station for the next month, I'll take the job if you really think you can put up with me."

At the feeling of Eliza's small hand on his chest directly over his heart the best seemed to speed up a bit, he was certain that she could feel his pulsing heart under then palm of her hand. He placed his large hand over hers while she told him what she was making for breakfast; bacon and pancakes, yum. Now that he had his own hand over his chest he could feel his heart beat underneath his fingertips, so certainly Eliza could feel it too. Jacob lifted his hand from his chest and let it fall to his side when she moved to rub his shoulders before flipping the pancakes and the bacon.
He nodded to answer her question, though the answer had been somewhat delayed. "You've seen all of this good ole Rez before, but I'll take you around and show you the sights," he nodded and smiled at her. "Don't worry, so long as you stick with me you won't get lost, I promise." Jacob looked at her, confused by her mischievous look before she suggested meeting his friends and he shrugged, "We'll see. They might try to take you from me."
