River landed on the beach with a gentle thud. He looked around and sniffed the air for danger.

bella landed

Maroon took off after them. She landed onto the ground.

River turned in surprise. "Maroon?? You came too?"

Maroon looked at River, "yeah. What was I going to do while you were off on adventure."

River smiled. "Help guard our territory." He chuckled. "But I suppose this works; the more looking for the flower, the faster we'll find it." He flicked his tail.

Maroon nodded, "Okay." She thought a moment and when behind a rock and changed into a human. She came back out.

River hissed and reared onto his back legs, ready to defend himself. What have you done with Maroon? he growled into the human's mind.

Maroon walked towards him slowly, "I am Maroon. I will go into the town and see what I can know about the flower River."

River snorted. You're human! And he said the word human like it was a parasite.

Maroon looked at him, but walked towards the water. Even in human form, she still could not survive out of the water for long.

bella growled

Maroon looked at Bella.

she glared at maroon

River never took his eyes off Maroon, but touched his tail gently to Bella's side.

bella looked at him

Maroon walked to Bella. "it is me Maroon."

"ur human" she growled

Maroon rolled her eyes and walked behind the rock. She changed.

bellas eyes softened "wait i remember. dragons could change into humans in the old days. we still can?"

Maroon looked at Bella. "Well, I still can. But my idea was that I can go into the villages and see what I can hear about the flower."

((my idea was that they couldn't speak directly to them, but they could speak to their minds....like River did in comment 9 :) ))

River sat there and listened, hoping this would come out good, but knowing if the others found out, Maroon's life would be on the line.

"I know what I am doing." He walked towards River.

River slightly curled his lip showing his teeth, but he didn't attack
"What are you doing, human Maroon?"

"I don't know." She sat down on a rock next to him.

"Well, we're not going to find this flower standing here. Let's get to work. You say you were going to the human town?" he shuddered at the thought.

"Yes, tell Bella, I will be back in a few minutes." She walked to the water and took out a water bag and filled it. With that, she walked up the beach and towards town.

River stared at her and watched her go, then turned to Bella. "What are we going to do about this?" he asked. "If anyone finds out, we'll be just as guilty for not saying anything. But if we do, we lose a friend...This is going to get dirty. I just feel it in my scales."

bella ignored him deep in thought

He nudged her. "Bella?"

"what if we can still turn into humans like our ancestors" she said dreamily

"And why would we want to do that?" he almost snarled. "Humans are our enemies-" he cut off as he spoke. "But, if we could do that, we could trick the humans and still take them!" He smiled triumphantly.

bella nodded. she concentrated with all her might on becoming a human. she shimmered then in her place was a human female with long down to her feet curly blonde hair and sea blue eyes. she had a bkini ready body and she wore a sparkly short blue dress.

River reared backwards. This was not happening! He snorted and flapped his wings to prevent himself from falling backwards. "What have you done with yourself? he spoke to her mind. "We shouldn't act on this until we speak to Aquatus!"

she shot him the look "u r such a wimp"

He pulled his lips over his teeth. "I'm just trying to be safe."

"and im just trying to try new things." she stomped to the edge of the water and sat staring at the ocean.

Feeling bad, he walked slowly over to her and lay down, though he still had to bend his neck to look at her. "I'm sorry; that was uncalled for..."

she looked away stubbornly

He moved his tail a little closer. "Bella?"

she looked at him

He put his face close to hers and gave her dragon-eyes. "Please forgive me?"

"not till u try it" she said

His eyes got huge.

"turn into a human. try " she insisted

"How though?"

"concentrate on turning into your human form"
