Kaitlyn | 678 comments The entrance to the common room is located behind a stone wall in the dungeons of Hogwarts Castle. A password is required to enter it (Pure Blood); whereupon a passage is revealed leading to the common room. The common room is a dungeon-like room with greenish lamps and chairs. This dungeon extends partway under the lake, giving the light in the room a green tinge. The common room has lots of low backed black and dark green button-tufted, leather sofas; skulls; and dark wood cupboards. It has quite a grand atmosphere, but also quite a cold one. It is decorated with tapestries featuring the adventures of famous Medieval Slytherins.

The corridor had a slight chill in the air as the blonde haired beauty neared the hidden entrance to her house common room. That she had on a corset dress with no sleeves meant the temperature hit her harder than most. She hated how chilly it could get in the dungeons. It was as though everyone in the house was a prisoner in the castle. All the Slytherins neatly tucked away from sight. But even if someone else shared her feelings, they would not know what it was like to be trapped. To feel like they could not escape. Onyx did. Shaking her head and sighing softly to stop herself from delving too deep into thought, her voice came out quietly as she said the password, "Pure blood." As the door magically opened to allow her entry, Onyx stepped into the heart of the Slytherin community, her penetrating gaze scanning the room to see if anyone else was there with her.

Emrys. Jess was walking down the corridor hardly feeling the chilly atmosphere. She was to excited she had gotten another perfect score on a test. Though she had to admit heading to the slytherin common rooms was probably not the best place to head when you're actually happy. It could be quite depressing actually living in the dungeons isolated from the rest of the school. She came upon the entrance "Pure-Blood." She said her voice filled with disgust at that word. She entered the common room looking for someone that she could maybe talk to, well try to talk to anyways.

By the time the entrance to the commonroom had opened once again, Onyx was sitting on the couch, staring at a tapestry on the wall of a snake wrapping around the body of a past Slytherin student. It appeared to tighten its coil the further up it reached. She could imagine that the student was her. That day by day she was slowly being suffocated. But it was not a snake that was doing it to her. No, she loved her pet reptile. It was just everything else in her existence which caused her grief. Turning her head at the sound of footsteps, her shockingly blue eyes locked onto the face of Jess. They were in the same year. "Hello," she said in her soft but musical voice.

Jess had thought that she was going to be the only one in their dark, slightly green dungeon er wait common room. The room was already starting to dampen her mood but it also gave her a sense of pride. Believe it or not she Was proud of her house and everything she had accomplished in her six years of being there. She was lost in thought when suddenly she heard a voice near one of the many tapestries in the common room. She quickly looked up obviously surprised. "Oh h-hi." She said confusion etched across her features. Not many people bother to say anything to her despite her having top marks and being the seeker on the slytherin team.
