Let the group know how you felt about The Bees

Meh . . . another just okay book. The pacing continued to feel odd/erratic to me throughout the book. While it was pointed out that perhaps that was to give the chaotic feel of the hive, it never really worked for me and I found it sort of distracting. Because of this, I ended up losing some continuity at a few points. Also, when it was time to read, I wasn't really super excited to get back into it.

But, overall, I did enjoy the story and I thought it was an interesting concept.

I know what you mean Matthew... I am at the part where she is making the wax crib in secret for her egg that is coming. Although that is kinda tense, I find myself having to force myself to read on. I actually would rather be reading something else. I am going to try to read a chunk tonight and see if having a little more time to read draws me into the story.

I wanted to like it. I really did. It just didn't do anything for me. I was not interested or excited to find out what happened. I gave it 3 stars but only because I DID like the ending and the epilogue.

Yes - this was a tough 3 seats for me. The uniqueness is what pushed me there.
