When Kat accidentally rips apart an old picture book, she's magically transported into the world of Cinderella--as Katriona, one of the ugly stepsisters! Life turns upside down now that she’s a highborn lady and must learn how to survive the social season, including how to get through the door in a huge metal hoop skirt. To get back, she'll have to complete the story, right to the end of happily ever after. But the odds are huge: the other stepsister is drop-dead gorgeous, the fairy godmother is nowhere to be found, and the prince, despite being insanely hot, openly dislikes balls. Can she ever return to the modern world?

Yikes, this is a long book! It didn't have a page count when I accepted it for review, and now it says 452 pages!

I just got a copy of this so I'll join you guys :) didn't realise it was that big either!

The author told me when she asked me to review it that it was long. I just hope that it's fast paced.

As I much as I want to join, I can't. I'm done reading the book. And I hope you enjoy cause I did. I just finish the book today

It is fast paced. Trust me. I flew through those pages for only about 2 1/2. Which is a very rare occasion. Since I'm slow reader. I think I could finish it for only a day but sometimes minor reading slump is always in my way. Even if I'm a slow reader

I managed to read the first 9 chapters last night/ this morning.

chapter 6 (view spoiler)[ the fact that Elle's parents are still alive, is a bit odd. I have to wonder whether Elle is really Cinderella or not. (hide spoiler)]

chapter 8 (view spoiler)[ so this darcy guy is actually the prince! hmm. This is going to turn into a dilema over whether or not to set cinderella up with the boy she herself fancies in order to go home, or to stay with him and never see her family again. (hide spoiler)]

chapter 16 (view spoiler)[ so that poor kid got his head crushed by a machine, and all he gets is fired! That's not very nice and not very fair, but based on the society so far, it's not surprising. I'm not sure Katriona has any chance of changing that on her own! (hide spoiler)]

37% (view spoiler)[That was terrible what happened to Jimmy. And there are so many names used from Jane Austen novels. I wonder if she did that on purpose. Even Poppy kind of reminds me of an Austen character.<\spoiler> (hide spoiler)]
