Yup, just hope somebody spikes the cordial ;)I was thinking if it would be of interest to do a book-swap club. Like mail a book that you've liked and that fits with someone else's goodread interests?
I just finished reading Lucy Maud Montgomery: The Gift of Wings, a 6oo (minus the appendix and credits) page biography on L.M. Montgomery. It was very detailed and well written. Has anyone else read the book?
I haven't read it, but I have actually been thinking of reading a biography about her life, so I may have to check that one out! :)
It's long, I'll warn you, but it was worth it to me because I enjoy L.M. Montgomery's books so much.
I finished reading 'The Gift of Wings' last year and loved it! Very well and detailed written, I absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about L.M. Montgomery :)
My family all thought I was crazy reading such a long biography and enjoying it ;) But I agree with all of you- it's such a detailed and well written book that gives a lot of insight into the life of L.M. Montgomery.
As I'm currently reading LMM's other great books, I'm thinking about starting to re-read all Anne books too and was wondering, if someone would be interested in a readalong together? It'll be one book per month, starting on 1st August next week :)
Me too :) I have to say that I've read most of all L.M. Montgomery's books- over twenty some but I would love a read a long where we could could all share our thoughts!
yay thanks for your replies! :) Then I suggest we just open a new topic for our thoughts and discussions, and enjoy the upcoming months with Anne :) I'm really looking forward to this!
I just opened the read-along topic in the "book of the month" category: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...I hope it is okay to put it there resp. it fits into this category? Also, I wasn't quite sure if we should open only one topic for the entire read-along or one for each book/month, but I think just one topic will be fine to begin with :)
