Were you caught off guard or surprised by the betrayal of the Fairies? Where do you think this leaves the relationship?

I wasn't overly surprised by their betrayal. They've shown that they are loyal to only themselves but ... we know they can be bought. It made sense to me.

I liked that twist in the story. Should have known that the faeries could be bought by the highest bidder.

Yeah, I was surprised the moment it was revealed but after I settled, realized this was their true nature.
