What did you think of sci-fi/futuristic New Beijing?

Spoilers are okay in this thread.

I really appreciated that Marissa Meyer wanted to do something different by creating New Beijing rather than using something like dystopian America. I love dystopian books, but it's nice to read something fresh every now and then.

I thought it was refreshing and something I hadn't really seen before. I also liked that the world-building covered the rest of the world too. Like, I could see New Beijing and how it fit with the rest of the world's nations. So that was cool.
