My name is Kendall, and I work for the Gaston Co. Public Library. I am currently reading The Girl on the Train and listening to Paper Towns. My favorite literary character is Neville Longbottom from the Harry Potter series.
My name is Angelique, and I also work for the Gaston Co. Public Library. I am currently reading Bad Chili and plan to listen to Wild with one of the library's new Playaways. My current favorite literary character is Peter Grant.
Awesome Angelique. I loved WILD. I had to look up Peter Grant. I have never read an urban fantasy book, so I am excited to have a recommendation.
Hi! I'm Megan. I live in Gaston County and work in Charlotte. I'm listening to Obsession in Death by JD Robb (I love the series and have read the book) as well as trying to finish Yes, Please by Amy Poeler on audio for my work book club. I am not a non-fiction fan so I am struggling. I loved the Girl on the Train (I listened to it). It was wonderful!
As for my favorite literary character, that is a hard one. I honestly can't answer that. There are too many characters I've read that I have loved.
Hi all! My name is Traci, and yes, I'm a GCPL employee. I just finished Bred To Kill on my lunch break today. A very good sequel to Syndrome E. I haven't decided what to pick up next.
As for favorite character, how could I ever pick just one? ;-)

My name is Andrew, and I too, like a lot of these folks, work at the Gaston County Public Library. I am currently listening to Jen Kirkman's I Can Barely Take Care of Myself (about 10 minutes left till I start Jim Gaffigan's Dad is Fat),and am currently reading The Martian by Andy Weir (suggested to be my by a co-worker), and Reeling Through Life: How I Learned to Live, Love, and Die at the Movies. All three, so far, are great! And I'm with Traci, how can you pick one?
Hi Megan! Good luck with Yes Please. I love Amy Poehler, so I loved the book. Obsession in Death seems like a page turner. Welcome to our group!
Hi Traci and Andrew! I suppose I should edit the icebreaker to "Name one of your favorite literary characters" or "If you could be any literary character, who would it be?"
Hi my name is Marian and I watch my grandkids and do all kinds of crafts. I do some blogging for a few sites. I am currently reading Where'd You Go Bernadette By Maria Semple. I am in 2 book clubs and live in Gastonia,NC. If I could be any literary character it would be The Fairy Godmother so I could help anyone I could with my wand.
Hi Craig!
Welcome back to the library! Have you tried our Overdrive service? I use it to read books on my iPad and I love it!

Yes, it is! Check out https://ncdigital.overdrive.com. You can log in with your library card and check out the collection. You can also download the Overdrive app on your device and check it out as well.
Hi, I'm Cadi. I don't work for the library but I read as much as I can. Currently working on Dead Wake: The Last Crossing of the Lusitania. So far, it's fantastic!
