Book Covers
Hey, guys, I need some help deciding on book covers for Fourteen Falling Signs. I have three options.#1:
#2:
#3:
Which one do you guys like best? I'm leaning towards #2...
I like the second one the most, I think.
I used the photo on #3 for one of my book covers once ... but I never actually wrote the story, so whatever. XD

Yeah, the title is kind of hard to read. I tried, but I couldn't make it clearer.Really, Brigid? How funny! XD
Okay, number two it is! Thanks, guys!
Sorry if I'm interrupting something (I have a habit of accidentally doing so on GR discussions :/), but I made a new cover for Wholesome, and I'm very pleased with it.Sure, it's plain, but I like it! :D

Pah, hahaha, like it's about that ;) YOUR COVER IS FLIPPING AMAZING WOMAN
Oh thanks, you guys! I'm rather happy with how it turned out. Only took like, fifteen tries.
Now the trick is writing the story xD

Exactly! What's it about?
It's about "Project Hero", which is basically a cloning project designed to save lives. The MC is a clone that can't come to terms with the fact he's identical to someone else, and the second MC is his original who is dying and needs a "donor", which his clone is supposed to be. But because I dig metaphors and deeper meaning, its more of a story of how people can be more alike or different than they realize, and how originality and appearances and all that are regarded in society, as well as how people discriminate against each other and so on. Kind of a "coming of age" story, as well.

Aw yes I love clone stories. Makes me want to go back to writing Maxwell Collins ... but it's been more than two years since I finished the second book so yeah ... >.<

I randomly came up with the idea a few days ago XD Coming up with an outline and things and hopefully will start soon. And eee, Maxwell Collins was about cloning? I never read that story of yours D:
AND YUE. Read it when I post things? ;D

No D: I always said I was going to. And then I never did, because I'm terrible like that. And oh, nice! >D
That's okay, they're pretty terrible. :P And like I said, I never even got around to finishing the series ... I might someday, though. I dunno.

Oh, sorry. I can't get my picture to post, but I don't know why.
Taylor [formerly Timothy] wrote: "The second one all the way. It focuses on her eye even more."All right. I like the color in the other one better, but you're right; the focus on the eye is better in #2.
Thanks!
Also, can I just say you have a very writerly name? :D Except I always think of calculus when I read your last name, hahaha.

Oh, really? How so? (I'm not offended, I just don't take calculus yet, so I have no idea what you're talking about. XD)

I really like the first one, but I'm still torn...

Thanks, Kriss!
Just so y'all know, I didn't make them. Someone else did. (I don't want to take chances of receiving credit I don't deserve.)
There's a concept called Riemann sums…it's basically a method for approximating the slope value of a function.Jeez, I hate math...but that class was amazing....

Oh! Hahaha!
What are the odds? :D
Very slim. I don't have to take another day of math, but I might do some in college just for fun. Maybe I'll audit the class so my grade doesn't matter.

Take Calculus if you can. It's a little different than most math courses. Rather than following a specific step-by-step process, you learn tools that you put together like Lego blocks to solve each problem.

I'll make sure to check it out.

LISTEN UP 'CAUSE I'M ONLY GONNA EXPLAIN THIS ONCE.
To embed a picture into your comment, type
<"img src=INSERT LINK HERE"/>. Except put the "s around the link.
If you don't have a link, and it's only on your computer, you can use one of several photo uploading sits online. Imgur is by far the simplest (you don't even need an account) but Photobucket is also popular and functional, and sign-up is free.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This WILL NOT WORK if you upload the photo to goodreads and try to use the link of the photo there. I promise.
Good (free) photo editing sites & programs:
Ribbet - Online site, free for basic use but you can sign up with a membership and get some extra features. Lots of effects, easy and varied ways to add text, cool designs, etc. For those of you who remember Picnik, it's literally exactly like that.
Fotoflexer - Online site. Good for recoloring images or trying to overlay two images. I recommend using this one along with something else because their effects are pretty limited and their fonts aren't very good.
Paint.NET - NOT a website. Actually a program. Free to download, basically a bare bones version of photoshop.
GIMP - Downloadable program. I have no idea how to use this or what it does but a lot of people seem to like it.
There are of course others but these are the most common/most well liked.
