Anthony was sitting on the grass next to the lake, watching the grey water with a mournful stare. He missed his mother, although he wouldn't admit it. He missed home. Tony looked down at the advanced physics calculations that were staring up at him from his lap, where his notebook lay open. Twiddling his pen in hand, Tony flipped to the back of the book to continue his sketching of his prototype suits. The physics homework could wait. But boy, he missed home. He hated this place. Tony had had enough of boarding schools to last a lifetime, he didn't need his father to shove him into another to remind him how unwelcome he was at home.
Paris walked towards the lake, looking at the grey water. She sighed, and wondered if today was a gloomy day or if it was just her. She looked up at the sky, and saw it was a light blue. It must just be me... She thought as she approached the lake. She had told her mother she was fine with coming here, but the truth was she despised this place. She wished she was back home, sitting with her mother in the living room, watching their favorite shows together. But she was here, and she was going to make the most out of it. Well, try.
Hearing footsteps behind him, despite the fact that the damp grass muffled them ever so slightly, Tony quickly switched to secretive mode, flipping back hurriedly to his physics homework. Yeah, that'd do. Nobody knew about his little sketches, and nobody needed to find out. The Stark boy crossed his legs and bend down over his calculations, doing his best to appear submerged in them, rather than bored with them. The homework assigned to him from his professor for advanced Physics was far too easy. Come on. Tony had graduated two years ago from MIT, he was too smart for this bullshit. It miffed him. Tremendously.
Bucky watched them both from a high tree branch. He had experienced to much talk for him to get way from confrontation but stayed silent. James sighed he had left his old school for a 'special' school away from his sister who was married at a young age he worried a lot. He wanted back to his old school where his sister was but he wasn't allowed so he stayed silent and watched everyone else.
Paris saw the person in front of her, and almost tripped over him. Instead, she landed right next to him, face down. ((I forgot to mention she was clumsy)) She attempted to get up, and slipped, landing face down again. She tried once more, this time succeeding, and blushed. She began to brush the dirt of her, mumbling about being clumsy. Suddenly remembering that someone else was there, she looked at the man she had almost tripped over. "I'm soooo sorry! I should have paid more attention to where I was going!" She said, blushing once more.
The moment he saw her about to fall, Tony slammed his notebook shut and pulled his knees up to his chest, wanting to make himself as invisible as possible. Oh- and there she went again, this time with a blush. Tony was thoroughly unimpressed. God, how dumb were the people around here again? Jesus. Tony snorted at her apology, quirking his eyes at the blush. Was it a thing, now, for a girl to blue every time something happened with a guy? Were they all straight here or what? This was possibly the most cliche meeting already without him having said a single thing. Well, time to break that, then. Anthony shook his head. "Yeah, yeah, you should've been more observant," he answered coldly.
Tira walked to the lake, scared that people here would call her a freak because of her wings. Tira saw a couple of people over by the lake. She walked over there along side Ben because he was one of the few people at school that Tira normally hung out with even if the friendship was a little unlikely. Warren and Ororo followed Tira and Ben. Ororo was mainly following Ben because she was worried he would accidentally use his power again. Tira noticed Paris first, " Hello " Tira said respectfully to the other girl. Ben smiled and said " Hi " to Paris, noticing her after Tira did.
Paris glared at the man, noticing his cold tone. "Someone must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed today." She said coldly,, crossing her arms. Gosh, people here are sooooo nice. I can't wait to tell my mom. Hey mom, the people here are so nice! They make you feel so welcomed! Paris thought, rolling her eyes. "Seriously, what's your problem? Have you never seen someone trip? Or are you just some big snob?" Paris covered her mouth, not knowing why she said all of that. I'm so dead... Paris looked at the two people that had said hi and smiled. "Hi."

Tony let out a short laugh, but it was devoid of any humour. "Actually, I woke up on the right side of bed today, thanks. I think it's you who needs to get a grip on where the ground is- oh look, it's right there!" He said, patting her grass next to him with a false smile. His grin dropped at the insult, his face becoming a stoic mask. "Actually, I don't think it's fair for them to blame me. Just because I'm smarter than everybody else here doesn't give them a right to label it as textbook," he replied airily. "Then again, like I said-" he looked at the grass pointedly- "the ground is down there."

Watch what your saying about people " Tira said, then added " No not exactly always though why would you even guess I was unless you already know I'm a Worthington. But how could you possibly know that it isn't like you can read minds plus If I were you I wouldn't have said what you just did before saying Hi. There are people at this school that could hurt you way worse than me. "
" Tira, you might want to slow down on the talking " Ben said to his friend, then looked over at Paris. " I'm Ben Munroe-Mccoy. You are? " He responded.
" I'm Tira Ashley Worthington, but feel free to give me any nickname that does not involve the work Snob unless you want to become my enemy. Wouldn't want that now would you? Anyways, didn't exactly catch your name. What is it? " Tira responded to Paris.
Paris looked at the Tira and Ben. "Sorry. I don't even know why I said that." She told them, not directing the comment to Tony. "I'm Paris West." She said with a smile, holding out her hand. Why did I even call that person a snob... I have to work on my anger.... Paris thought, ashamed of her words. Should I say sorry to him.... Maybe later.... Then again.... Paris thought, turning around. "Sorry." She said, quietly.
Tony finally stood up, tucking his notebook under his arm. He hated sitting around and feeling even more lonely than ever whilst people stood around him. Also, he found his short height very irritating. Tony crossed his arms over his chest and watched the squabble going on between the others, somewhat amused by it. At the apology, he blinked, then shrugged. "Whatever," he muttered back, scuffing his foot against the ground as he hugged his notebook to his chest, tucking the pen behind his ear.
" It's fine. It's better than getting called Punk " Ben replied, shaking Paris' hand. Tira smiled and then shook Paris' hand, Tira then said " Paris is a pretty name. So....Paris are you excited for classes to start? Just a little informational tip, if your going to be taking Bio it's a really hard class. I took it my first year here actually. It was fun, but hard. And my dad, which I have no idea where he is right now, teaches it. You'll enjoy the class if you do take it since it is one of the very few hands on classes aside from PE, which Ben's mother teaches, and it can be a hard class just try not to get on her bad side. She can kinda be a little ........... um ......... strict when it comes to bad grades. Wouldn't want her annoying you about a failed test. "
Tony listened to the conversation with rapt attention, despite for the fact as to how boring it was. At the sudden exclamation that biology was hard, Tony snorted loudly. He, unsurprisingly, didn't pass off the chance to show off, and now was his move. After all, what's the point of being a genius, if you haven't got an audience? "Are you joking?" The boy suddenly interjected. "Bio's the easiest shit ever. I've taken it before here, like... last year or something." He shrugged, a toothy grin appearing on his face, albeing not absent of smugness. "It's just a game of memory."
Paris was thrown back by all of the talking, but smiled. "I don't know if I'm going to take biology. I was planning on talking chemistry." She said with a small smile. "And thanks. I think your name's pretty too." She said looking at Tira. "And I'm not planning on taking P.E. this year." Then she looked at Tony, and coughed. "Um, sorry." Paris looked at Tony glared. Show off... "So, it's easy, huh? That's good to know..." She said, turning back to Ben and Tina. "So... This is your 2nd year?" I just want to go home... I've only met 2 nice people.... WHY CAN'T I GO HOME?!?
Bucky smirked fight, arguments, poplars, dorks, rude people that's all he wanted to hear that this school was like the others. People in social group which also meant geeks and jocks and loners and the emos. He smiled and moved lower down to see better at who the people were and recognised the stark quirks and looks in Tony and rolled his eyes remembering meeting him once when they arrived.
Tony quirked a dark brow again at the girl- Paris, or whatever her name was- and replied as he saw fit to; in kind. So he false-coughed back at her. "Ahe- apology accepted," he replied, before looking back down at his feet, a little grin on his face. Boy, did he love to piss some people off. Or at least, winding them up was fun. The repercussions? Ha ha. Not so much. "Hell yeah, it's easy." Anthony drummed his fingers against his upper arm, tapping his foot against the grass. He hoped it would rain again. Soon. He let her talk to the other two before looking up and recognising that kid with the metal arm. James. Yeah, James.
Bucky wanted to laugh there and then but stopped himself to keep his position hidden in the trees. He knew how Tony was from the only person he talked to Steve and looked around moved to a closer tree and watched closely. he was curious on who the others were

" Tira replied. Tira smiled and waited for a reply. Ben just smiled at Paris. Ben looked around at the others and then at the lake. Tira looked around and at the nature.
"Cool. I think I'm going to do Chemistry, period. I still have to figure out all of my other classes. I was thinking History, or maybe Literature." Paris said, smiling. "So, where are you guys from? I'm from Los Angeles." Paris asked, tilting her head.
Bucky climbed out of the tree keeping to the shadows. He made a small snarl sound which was his way of saying hi. He stepped out of the shadows behind Tony. He looked at them, in truth he couldn't bare this at all
Paris heard a noise and turned around, forgetting about her question. She saw the man step out of the shadows, and watched him. She noticed his metal arm, and wonderred where he got it from and why he had it. Oooh... maybe he some kind of super soldier... or a super NINJA! Paris thought, letting her imagination run wild. She then snapped out of it and came to her senses. She waved at the man, the only thing that seemed reasonable.
Willowshine wrote: ""Cool. I think I'm going to do Chemistry, period. I still have to figure out all of my other classes. I was thinking History, or maybe Literature." Paris said, smiling. "So, where are you guys from..."" New York City " Tira and Ben said in unison. They hadn't gone much of anywhere as kids and were from the city to be telling the truth, but only a few people knew that. " Lit's a good class to take if your thinking you want to maybe like go write a book or learn about literature in general. History would be useful if you want to be a historian. It all depends on what you like better out of the two classes. " Tira said to Paris. Tira and Ben noticed the metal armed person as well.
He gave a small wave and looked at the sky. He didn't talk much here because of the unfamiliar faces and the fact he missed his family. He looked at the girl and smiled slightly. He was worried she would question his arm
Paris smiled back, ad held out her hand. "Hi. I'm Paris West." She said with a smile. "What's your name?" She asked tilting her head. You should ask him about the arm! Paris thought. No, that would be rude. BUT... BUT... Then Paris stopped arguing with herself. Why am I arguing with myself?
His voice was low as he spoke "James Barnes but my friend calls me Bucky". He was fearful of her expression but looked around. He knew some one would end up asking. He sat crossed legs on the ground and looked at the people in front of him.
" Nice to meet you James. I'm Tira Worthington and this is Ben Munroe-Mccoy. " Tira said introducing herself and then she pointed at the boy she was standing next to and introduced him. Tira was getting a little excited, but she was also trying to make sure nobody asked her about her wings it would be hard to explain about them as it is. Ben smiled and looked at Bucky. It would be a great year so far. Ororo and Warren walked around the lake a little bit and then left the area to head back towards the main buildings of the school.
he smiled "hi". he was unsure who to trust around here. he looked around, he didn't care what they looked like. he got to his feet and sighed. gerard walked around the lake and saw them and walked over with his sketch book in hand and sighed.
" So, enjoying the lake so far, James? " Tira asked, meanwhile Ben was sitting by a tree a reading. Tira blushed a little when she said his name but also when she said lake, she tried hiding it by covering that part of her face with her wings.
James smiled "yeah, you guys are probably the first people I have talked to at this school other then Steve so your lucky". he saw the guy coming over and got nervous. Gerard walked over happily "hi" he was joyful for the time being.
Paris stood still, looking at Bucky's medal arm. "That's a cool arm you got there." Paris said with a smile. "When did you get it?" Paris said, tilting her head to the left. That arm's so shiny....
"I'd rather not explain it its horrible" bucky said low scared of the others thoughts. "its personal and it shakes me up to try to remember how it happened". he covered his arm to try to hide it but failed. "i have trouble with my memory because of the people who did it"
Paris looked at the ground, now feeling bad that she asked. "OK, that's fine. Sorry if I intruded." Paris said, looking up with a small smile. You shouldn't have asked, you dimwit. Paris felt really bad, and tried to change the subject. "So Bucky, where are you from?" She asked with a small smile.
'BAM!' A young boy in a red and black suit burst out of the water, interrupting the relative peacefulness of the lakeside. He bore two foot long fish in each hand, and was virtually covered with weapons himself; two katanas across his back, more inside his belt-sheaths, and guns anywhere they could be hooked onto his clothing. 'Bonjour, mes amis! How goes it?'
"Shelbyville, Indiana" he said and looked at the new guy "who are you?". Gerard bit his lip, "I'm Gerard Way". he wanted to cheer up bucky who seemed gloomy. Gerard smiled wide "and i'm from summit, new jersey so the state proclaimed the worst state in america where people move out of but that's lies a lot of people go and live there". Bucky rolled his eyes remembering stories Steve had told him of new jersey
Tira was looking out at the lake, wondering where her mother was at the moment. She didn't mention much about her mom, but from the look on Tira's face told them that there was something going on but it was not as obvious as the Where is mom? facial expression that used to use when she missed her mother.
Tony was taken aback as someone burst out of the water, inconveniently scattering some water onto his notebook. Tony bit back an annoyed growl. "Watch it," he muttered, scowling at the guy. "Nice spandex," he added on with a false grin. He took one look at Bucky, wondering where his blond pal was, before heaving a little sigh. Alright, maybe he should stop being such an ass, but frankly, it was fun. A little bit.
gerard watched her thinking of home, a small house in different places every time he was kicked out because of a fight at school or sassing teachers. He then looked at the trees and imagined them becoming creatures and had an idea for a drawing. "has anyone got a pencil i can borrow?" he asked
Paris sighed, and thought about her dad. Dad... Her father had died a few years ago, saving people from a fire. She wished he was still alive, but because of him, a lot of people got to go home. Home... Paris really wanted to go home, but she new her mom was busy, trying to find ways to pay for bills, and she definitely didn't have the time or money to take care of two kids right now...
bucky looked at Tony. "do ya know where Rogers is? and by the way I'm sorry about your parents." he looked at the sky again "I'm gonna kick that punk's ass for being late"
Tony shook his head, hugging his notebook closer to himself. No! How was he supposed to know where the Steve Rogers was? Steve barely even talked to him, since they hardly knew each other anyways. His parents? What? Nothing had happened to them, right? "No, I don't. And what? Nothing in hell has happened to my parents, thanks," he answered icily.
[Btw his parents aren't dead yet.]
[Btw his parents aren't dead yet.]
((Ahh... kk))Paris looked at the ground, trying to hide the fact she was sad. "I haven't seen him either." Paris said, still not looking up. She traced her foot in the grass, making a figure eight, trying to get the memories of her father out of her head. Why did he have to die?
[It's fine!]
Tony noticed she was sad, and just rolled his eyes. What a drama queen, honestly. People here had to whip out their emotions for everything. Sure, he missed home. He hated his dad, who could never accept him, and he missed his mom, but did he cry about it? No. Tony drew in a deep and shaky breath, already pissed. And it was the first day. He didn't want to go to class, didn't want to meet all these... people.

Tira had taken to sitting in one of the trees nearby. She was low enough to talk to people, but high enough so that she could see what was in each direction. She didn't say anything about pencils, which naturally she didn't usually always carry those around since she had better things to do.
bucky kicked the ground "one of these days I'm gonna kill him the little punk" annoyed that Steve hadn't shown up. he looked around "i don't even want to be here i was forced to, i just want to hang with Steve and my sister but that's not possible". he looked down at his metal arm "and all i get for sticky by his side is no memory and a robotic arm.
