Number 10 was not ever really developed.
Clues
1. The psychologist jumped over the railing at the top of the lighthouse.
2. The psychologist keeps saying, "Annihilation!". This is the phrase that is supposed to be used to hypnotically induce immediate suicide.
3. The psychologist saw the biologist as a flame.
4. There are cassette tapes and photographs mixed in with the pile of journals, indicating that technology was once allowed into Area X.
5. The black boxes don't measure anything.
6. The border of Area X is advancing in "ways you wouldn't expect".
7. Nobody has really come back from Area X for a long time now.
8. The biologist sees a green light coming from the psychologist's dead body.
9. The biologist starts to think that those who have died have in Area X haven't really died but have evolved into the creatures living in Area X.
10. The "brightness" that the biologist experiences seems to be able to enhance her senses. She thinks she has to continue to be wounded to "keep the brightness in check".
