Sophie (sawphie) I read all the books that were assigned to me during school (yes it is true, I assure you)! I browsed some lists of books read at school in Europe and found this one, which I occasionnaly thought of reading for years. I hope I'm not going to be disappointed!

I saw the movie at theater and read the book just after. I don't remember both of them but I think I liked the movie a little more than the book. It was something unusual, which is always pleasant for me :)

Silvia Turcios | 304 comments What I remember of this book was how the narrator was always talking about the boy as if the boy was the devil and I really hated that when the protagonist was just a baby and had not done anything yet

Sophie (sawphie) I started it last night and already read 10%, I feel that it is going to be a quick read!

Anne Mey I loved the book when I was younger and reread it some years later after watching the movie that I loved. We're really inside the head of a troubled man and it is fascinating to follow his story however dreadful it is. I hope you enjoy it !

Sophie (sawphie) I just finished it and found it very good! The least I can say is that I was surprised by the ending though. It is very well written and the descriptions are beautiful. I'm glad I finally read it, now I need to watch the movie!

Jana I thought it was a GREAT book! I frequently forget books within a couple of months of reading them, but this one has stayed with me over the years.
