Name: Haraja
Life span: Ten years, unless extended by blood rituals.
Do they lean towards a specific gender? Are they even capable of genders? Generally, female as they eat their mates much in the way spiders do.
Appearance: For starters, take a pterodactyl's body. (view spoiler)
Now, keeping the wings and general proportions, insert a woman's body in place of the torso. Coating her whole frame except the inside of her wings are what scales that look like piles of stone on her body, making it easy to blend in with mountainous terrains. Despite the stone look, it's still apparent that her body is hard and sinewy, muscles taunt and stretched. Her feet are talons, razor sharp and curled perfectly for snatching victims by his shoulders. This creature is about eight-feet-tall, sometimes reaching nine, but almost appearing taller due to her stringy, roped frame. (Note: the males get up to about five and half feet). Her face is vaguely human...Most of the features are correct...but it's something in her eyes that makes one think of a bird of prey, rather than a woman. Sprouting from her waist are arms, feeble little things no more than a foot long. Most of the time, they curl limply at her side, useless and hidden. Lastly, the outside of her wings are caked in the protective, rocky scales, providing safety in fights. The insides, however, are translucent and vulnerable, displaying a network of veins and the slim bones that make up her wings. They are incredibly tender, the weakest point on her body.
Personality: Vicious, hedonistic, and fascinated by pain, they will purposely inflict it on themselves and others, just to watch the curiosity of their reaction.
History: n/a
Preferred type of victim: Children (They tend to steal girls up until a greater age than boys, due to their smaller sizes, making them easier to carry.)
Natural habitat: Mountainous regions.
Purpose: Steal children and perform rituals on them in order to extend their longevity.
Strengths: Aerial attacks, camouflage, swiftness, protective skin, stealth.
Weaknesses: Thin translucent web-like material that makes up their wings. When she's hit there, she becomes practically crippled, heavily relying on the wings for her advantage in battle. However, like the outside of an arm versus the inside, the outer side still has protection while the inside is thin and vulnerable. They also fear fire while being drawn towards it at the same time.
Other:
-Harajas can speak the human tongue, but not too well and when they do it's...creepy, like hearing a serial killer discuss what he's going to buy his daughter for her tenth birthday. It puts something unfamiliar and frightening, into familiar terms.
-They perform their blood rituals on the night of the new moon.
-Frequently bicker among themselves and challenge the others for dominance.
-Males are nearly nonexistent.
-Only hunt at night.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Kind of reminds me of the old lady (forgot her name) from Spirited Away kind of, because she can transform into like this creepy bird thing. ^_^
Wicked sweet, wouldn't want to get caught by those things.

Name: Hell TreantsLife span: It can live for hundreds of years.
Appearance: Giant trees constructed in human-like structure. Wooden body and limbs with vines and leaves wrapped around itself. Their eyes are simple dots of glowing yellow in their heads. Hell Treants start up as these little seedlings. They reach maturity for about half a century, reaching the height of seven feet. When they are fully grown, which may take up the full century, they can grow as tall as twenty five feet or so. Some even reach a hundred feet, but it was rare to find one. Hell treants are named as so because of their invulnerability to flames. Once you lit it up with fire, the flames will spread around it like a giant torch, but the treant won't be bothered. They are slow walkers and barely can they run, but their powerful strength and the power to summon vines, shrubs, and floral as they root themselves to the ground makes it their advantage to chase and trap their foes.
Personality: They cannot be tamed as they use their own wisdom and their own will. But not all Hell Treants are that wise enough to be good.
History:Some of which prefer to go rogue as they strike back to the humans who once ruined their beautiful home in the forest. Occasionally, they come in a small group of three and invade a village to demolish. Yet so far, none of which succeeds.
Preferred type of victim: They don't hunt for food. Simple chlorophyl will do. But others sometimes kill humans or other beings who devastate the forest.
Natural habitat: Mountains and forests
Purpose: To protect the nature.
Strengths: Immune to fire, gets stronger when they are in the water. When rooted to the ground, they can get a handful of rocks and catapult it towards their foe, sending a projectile. They also have the power to grow vines, floral, and shrubs, but not trees and larger plants.
Weaknesses: Blades or anything that can chop them.
Other: Hell Treants cannot talk. They only produce cracking noises to communicate with other treants.
Yep. I liked it when they took down Isengard! That one Ent with his head on fire and dunking it into the water just makes me laugh.
I know. I really need to read the series, but alas, I have too much on my plate of to-read books. I'll read The Hobbit sometime, then go to LOTR.
((I'm so bored right now, I might as well make another creature here))Name: Gigas or Stone Giants
Life span: Will not die unless someone vanquishes them.
Do they lean towards a specific gender? Are they even capable of genders?: They do not have any gender
Appearance:

Personality: Very peaceful. Usually they sat still as a statue in one certain place. They can even sleep for years without being disturbed, which makes vines and shrubs and mosses crawl to their stoney armour. Thus, wanderers and travelers can sometimes awoke them, making them aggressive as they can be.
History: No one really knows how Gigas were created. Some say they were created by powerful Warlocks. Other say they were born together with the Earth. But nobody has ever proved it to be true.
Preferred type of victim: None. They don't eat to live.
Natural habitat: Usually in the mountains.
Purpose: None. They only existed in the world.
Strengths: Their large and powerful built, which they can reach up to 89 feet tall. They carry their gigantic stone swords with them as well, which they also use as their weapon.
Weaknesses: Their slowness makes up their weakness. And they had this one spot which they are vulnerable.
Other:
-How They Are Killed:
Their soft vulnerable spots are in the very top flat of their heads. Even simple human beings with a sword can kill them because of their rocky structure that was meant for climbing.
