message 11: by Dan (new)

Dan | 2898 comments Yes.

message 12: by Amber (new)

Amber | 176 comments Jaycee walked down the hall looking around to make sure to a house professors. She had an awful case of end of the ear laziness and had decided to skip class. Her heels clicked as she walked furiously walked trying to hurry to her dorm room.

message 13: by Dan (new)

Dan | 2898 comments ((That post doesn't make a lot of sense but at least I know what she is doing.))

There were five minutes left until class started and Kyle was sprinting as fast as he could to get to his next class before the bell rang. He turned the corner and almost ran into someone. "Sorry," he said, stopping himself before the person fell into his lap. he looked up at who he almost ran into and noticed it was Jaycee. She was so beautiful but she would never notice him because he was a total outcast and she was popular. He tried not to blush or check her out as he looked up at her. He would not have minded if she had fallen into his lap because of his carelessness.

message 14: by Amber (new)

Amber | 176 comments ((The only typo is ear which should be year. I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to figure that out.))

message 15: by Amber (new)

Amber | 176 comments ((And the double walked, but obviously shes walking no matter what way you put it.))

message 16: by Dan (new)

Dan | 2898 comments ((Okay. Maybe I just was lazy like her at that moment.))

message 17: by Dan (new)

Dan | 2898 comments ((Yes, I figured out all I needed to know to know what she was doing.))

message 18: by Amber (new)

Amber | 176 comments "Eep," Jaycee yelped and stepped back as someone almost ran into her. "Oh don't worry it's fine," she smiled after he apologized. She looked at him and studied his features, slightly blushing as she decided he was cute. "Better be more careful next time you come rushing around those corners, Kyle. You might run into the wrong person," she said softly and meaning it. Some people were rude here. "I better not keep you any longer. You'll be late. It was nice almost running into you," she gave him another smile and stepped out of his way.

message 19: by Dan (new)

Dan | 2898 comments "It was very nice seeing you too," he said, blushing because she was being all nice to him. He had had a crush on her ever since he first talked to her freshmen year. Now it was almost the end of senior year. He hadn't had the guts to ask her out and and he knew he should do it sometime soon. He decided not to do it at the moment. He gave her a nice smile and wheeled away. His face grew red. He had almost ran into the girl of his dreams. How embarrassing.

message 20: by Amber (new)

Amber | 176 comments Jaycee continued on to her dorm and hopped on her bed. She had noticed Kyle before but had never really studied him. He was cute and seemed nice. She thought that maybe she should talk to him again. She kicked her shoes off and pulled out homework that she hadn't done yet.

((We should have them run into each other again. But this time Jaycee should actually fall into his lap.))

message 21: by Dan (new)

Dan | 2898 comments ((Okay.))

Kyle went to history class. Usually he had no trouble paying attention in that class since it was the only one he actually enjoyed but he found himself not being able to keep Jaycee out of his mind. Their most recent encounter had been slightly awkward. Does she think I'm cute? he asked himself as he absentmindedly took notes. He wrote stuff down but didn't actually absorb the information. Kyle jumped in his seat as the bell rang. He had been deep in thought about Jaycee. Thankfully he didn't have another class to go to that day. He got back into his chair and wheeled out of the classroom toward his dorm.

message 22: by Amber (new)

Amber | 176 comments Jaycee had decided to go out to lunch. She had changed into black converse, jean shorts, and a pink tank top before she left her dorm. She had just twisted the key when someone started talking to her. As she spoke to them she walked backwards, which her being clumsy wasn't a good idea from the beginning. She soon found herself falling back and landing on someone's lap, Kyle's lap. She squealed as she fell and turned a bright red when she looked at him. "Fancy meeting you like this again," she said giggling awkwardly.

message 23: by Dan (new)

Dan | 2898 comments Kyle tried to put his hands out in front of him to stop a girl from falling back wards into his lap,to no avail. he blushed deeply as he realized Jaycee was siting in his lap. "Hell to you too," he said, his face bright red "We must have some sort of connection," he said, meaning for it to be a joke. As soon as he said that he realized it might be true. Should he tell her he had liked her ever since he saw her three years earlier. He wasn't sure how many more times he would see her before the school year ended. He wrapped his arms around her waist absentmindedly as he stared into her beautiful eyes, trying not to get lost in them.

message 24: by Amber (new)

Amber | 176 comments Jaycee laughed easily. "Well if this is true maybe you should go to lunch with me. It's only fate," she smiled. Her blush deepened as his hands went to her waist. Normally she would of squirmed away as she tried to stay away from guys, but he seemed different right away. Though, she wouldn't let him in too soon, contrary to popular belief of the school she wasn't as open as people seemed to think. She knew she was popular but she hadn't tried to be, her popularity has relied on her personality alone. She hadn't tried to climb to top with threatening words like other had, she had always just been herself. "Sorry for running I to, and falling on you," she added. Looking at Kyle now she knew most would of walked away without an apology and with an insult flung his way about it being his fault, when it was in every way hers.

message 25: by Dan (new)

Dan | 2898 comments "I would love to go to lunch with you," he said, sighing in relief. He hoped she hadn't noticed him doing that. It would definitely give away the feeling that he actually did like her and think they had an attraction to one another. "It was my fault I didn't say something," he said, looking into her beautiful eyes "All I did was put my hands up to try to stop you. He liked the fact she hadn't tried to move away from him, especially since he had his arms wrapped around her. Secretly, he wished she would stay in his lap. Their bodies seemed to fit perfectly together.

message 26: by Amber (new)

Amber | 176 comments "Well good, let's go then. But you'll have to let me go first," she smiled. She wasn't going to deny to herself that she liked being in his lap, with his arms around her. She liked his warmth and felt safe. "What's your food preference?" she asked as she wasn't picky and would eat just about anything.

message 27: by Dan (new)

Dan | 2898 comments "I definitely enjoy burgers," he said, reluctantly unwrapping his arms around her waist. He couldn't believe he was going to hang out with the girl of his dreams, even if it was just a one time deal. Jaycee was the only girl that had ever made a conscious effort to talk to him and he liked that about her.He waited for her to get off his lap so they could go to lunch. He was savoring every second she was this close to him. Who knows, maybe it would never happen again.

message 28: by Amber (new)

Amber | 176 comments Jaycee carefully stood from his lap and turned to look at him. "Hmm I'm definitely up for a burger right now," she said. "We can go to the on campus restaurant or I know a good place only a five minute walk from here," Jaycee suggested. She wondered why she hadn't taken the time to get to know Kyle before. Then again she hadn't really taken the time to get to know anyone other than her two best friends. She found that as she walked through the halls that a lot of people thought they knew her. She heard a lot of things about her life that she had never known before. While they weren't all bad rumors they also weren't true. She hoped Kyle didn't believe most of the things she had heard.

message 29: by Dan (new)

Dan | 2898 comments "How about we go to that place then," he said, looking up at her. The campus burger joint was always packed and it would be nice to get away from where everyone else was. Who knows what would happen if anyone saw Jaycee talking to him. Not that he cared what the consequences of talking to her were. It seems like she didn't care either. He liked that she seemed genuinely interested in talking with him. He had never met anyone quite like Jaycee. She seemed different from all the other girls. He couldn't wait to find out how different she was. She was already different from other girls because she hadn't ignored him.

message 30: by Amber (new)

Amber | 176 comments "Sounds good to me," Jaycee smiled and started walking that way. She pulled her hair back into a ponytail as they walked, her steps were more graceful now that she was feeling a little less klutzy. "What are you majoring in?" she asked Kyle with genuine interest in her voice. She watched her feet as she walked, stepping over every line and crack in the sidewalk, a habit from when she was little that stuck. She stuck her hands in her pockets and looked at him, realizing she would be rude if she didn't look at him when he talked, especially since she asked a question.

message 31: by Dan (new)

Dan | 2898 comments "History," he said, looking up at her. He tried not to act like she way was taller than him because he feared that would make her uncomfortable. He looked into her beautiful eyes once again and got lost in them for a brief second before tearing his eyes away from her beautiful eyes and face to look at the ground. "What about you?" he asked as he looked straight ahead. He was afraid that if he looked at her he would check her out. If he got caught looking her up and down he was afraid she would get mad at him and think he was just like every other guy who thought she was the most beautiful girl in the entire school.

message 32: by Amber (new)

Amber | 176 comments "I've always loved history. It was my favorite subject in high school. The past is just so interesting. Especially the wars. I love the ins and outs of operations and what not. Sorry, I'm rambling," her cheeks turned pink. "I'm majoring in criminology. I've always had an interest in murder and serial killers.... That sounds bad. I mean I've always had an interest in how serial killers think and what makes them want to murder people," she corrected herself realizing she sounded like a sociopath. "I'm hoping that after a couple years of cop work that I can be a detective, problem solving is my thing," she added. She wanted to go on but stopped herself. She figured he would get enough of her rambling later on.

message 33: by Dan (new)

Dan | 2898 comments "I like learning about all the wars throughout history too," he said, looking at her "It's much more interesting then learning about philosophers and who said what. My favorite era would definitely have to be ancient history." Kyle chuckled when she said she was interested in serial killers in murders. "I am interested in things like the Holocaust and other types of torture throughout history. It's interesting to examine why anyone would do such a thing in the first place." He was glad he lived in the time and place that he did, otherwise he may not have survived. He hoped she didn't think he was weird for talking like that. Most people weren't that into history. Besides, he had rambled a little. He bit his lip since she suddenly seemed nervous around him. He took that as a sign that she liked him like he liked her,

message 34: by Amber (new)

Amber | 176 comments "Oh Hitler! Man he was crazy. He had real issues going on. The holocaust was devastating. Did you know that he liked it when his girlfriends were suicidal? It was kind of a requirement for him. The more issues they had the more he liked them. Oops. Rambling again sorry, it's habit. Oh good we're here," she said the last sentence cheerfully and opened the door for Kyle. When they were seated Jaycee laughed nervously. "You probably think I'm crazy now, huh?" she asked, half joking half not. She knew she was a bit odd, that's why she normally didn't go in depth about her major and why she chose it but she couldn't help in. And once she started talking about it she couldn't really stop.

message 35: by Dan (new)

Dan | 2898 comments "You aren't crazy," he said, giving her a reassuring look. It took all his strength to keep himself from taking her hand under the table to show she wasn't crazy. "I didn't know that about Hitler," he added "You may know more about my major than me," he added, wanting to make her laugh. He knew that he knew more than her but he had thought he knew everything there was to know about history. This girl had taught him wrong. He loved talking with her and wished he could spend every single remaining moment of college with her. He blushed at the thought. They just really tarted hitting it off a few minutes earlier. He shouldn't be thinking too far ahead.

message 36: by Amber (new)

Amber | 176 comments Jaycee laughed at his joke. "Well thanks for thinking I'm not crazy," she smiled. "Most people would of ran away by now," she added. "I have a minor in performing arts but I decided that wasn't for me. I'm a little socially awkward and I have stage fright, not a good combination for singing and acting," she continued. Not to mention she was clumsy and tripped on stage half of the time. "So Kyle. Tell me about yourself," she requested. She really wanted to get to know him more. And she was awful at small talk, it really wasn't her thing. Her idea of small talk was 'the weather is nice today' and you can only get so far talking about weather.

message 37: by Dan (new)

Dan | 2898 comments He never knew she was socially awkward. He wasn't quite sure how that was possible with someone popular like Jaycee. "What would you like to know?" he asked. He already knew what she would ask. How did he end up in a wheelchair? He had told the story so many times he didn't get that emotional anymore. This time might be different though since he was in front of the only girl he had ever like during college.

message 38: by Amber (new)

Amber | 176 comments Jaycee mulled over what she wanted to know in her head. She softly bit her bottom lip as she thought about it. "Mmm let's see. What's your favorite color? Oh! And your favorite band? Andddd if you could hang out with anyone for a day who would it be?" she asked. She knew he was expecting her to ask about the wheelchair, but she didn't really need to know that. She was interested in him, while the wheelchair was part of him since it was in his life it wasn't her focus. She figured he would tell her in time if he wanted to, but she didn't plan on prying.

message 39: by Dan (new)

Dan | 2898 comments "My favorite color is black," he said with a chuckle "And if you don't consider that a color I guess blue." The next question was somewhat hard for him. He had a favorite singer but not a favorite band. "I like Taylor Swift. Does a singer count?" he asked. He had never thought about who he wanted to spend an entire day with. "I guess I would like to spend a day with a famous musician.'

message 40: by Amber (new)

Amber | 176 comments "Black does count as a color because it's my favorite too," she winked. "Really Taylor Swift? I didn't peg you as a Taylor Swift fan. I can't choose. I'd have to pick a different person or band for each genre, I like them all so much. I think id spend a day with my dad. I'd like to know what he's like," she said. "Oops that was deep. Sorry I didn't mean to pull out the big guns I'm the first hour of talking to you. My second choice though would be Batman. He's awesome.." She trailed off. She looked at her hands and awkwardly twiddled her thumbs, another nervous habit. Soon she'd be playing with her hair, that was always the third stage of her nervousness.

message 41: by Dan (new)

Dan | 2898 comments Kyle chuckled when she winked at him. "I know, mostly girls like her." He bit his lip when she mentioned her Dad. He could tell she didn't want to discuss it. It obviously was something traumatic that had happened. He reached out an touched her hand comfortingly. He looked at the menu to decide what he wanted, trying to avoid the awkward silence that had started. He wasn't sure what to talk about after that.

message 42: by Amber (new)

Amber | 176 comments Her hand tensed under his touch at first but she relaxed soon after. She did bother looking at the menu as she already knew what she wanted. Instead she took time to discretely study Kyle. Silence had fallen upon them but she was okay with that. She admired every feature of his face from the way his hair fell to the stubble on his chin. And his jawline was amazing. She blushed when she realized she had been checking him out and looked away hoping she hadn't been caught.

message 43: by Dan (last edited Jun 11, 2015 06:34PM) (new)

Dan | 2898 comments Kyle was secretly checking her out as he looked at the menu. He knew what he wanted and was just looking at it out of habit. He saw her checking him out but didn't show any sign that he had caught her. He admired her smooth skin and the curve of her face. He also enjoyed the fact she was not wearing too much make up. He smiled, not able to believe she was his. He put the menu down a minute later and looked over at her, squeezing her hand lightly. "Do you do any sports?" he asked, breaking the awkward silence.

message 44: by Amber (new)

Amber | 176 comments She smiled when he squeezes her hand. "Yeah I play soccer, and I swim," she said. "I've played soccer since I was six. I took up swimming in high school. I did a year of basketball too but that didn't stick," she added.

message 45: by Dan (new)

Dan | 2898 comments "I used to play wheelchair basketball," he said, smiling as she said she was a multi-sport athlete. He couldn't believe he actually had something in common with his dream girl. There wasn't a team at the college he chose to attend, which bummed him out. He wondered if he could randomly just start talking about sports with her. She hadn't seemed like the sports type to him. He liked that she was beautiful and athletic.

message 46: by Amber (new)

Amber | 176 comments "That's really cool. I liked basketball but it just wasn't soccer for me. My mom told me I had to pick 2 of the three sports so I went with soccer and swim. I was better at those also," she said. The waiter came over and took their order. When the server brought her the water she had asked for she took a big drink. "I actually have swim practice tonight, soccer isn't in season right now," she explained. Though she thought he might know that. The girls soccer team had done really well during their season and took first place at the state tournament.

message 47: by Dan (new)

Dan | 2898 comments "How often do you have practice?" he asked, taking a sip of the Coke the waiter had brought him. He knew playing sports at this level was a huge commitment and he was secretly glad he didn't have to play. The stress of balancing school with sports might be too much for him to handle. He had a lot of homework as it was. He wanted to see her swim. "When is your next meet?" he asked, biting his lip. Was he asking too many questions? He hoped not.

message 48: by Amber (new)

Amber | 176 comments "Next week. That meet will determine if we go to the state meet or not. But I think we should be able to handle it," she replied. "You should come. Even practices are open because we use the big pool and leave the small pool open to other students," Jaycee smiled.

message 49: by Dan (new)

Dan | 2898 comments "Can I just come to watch?" he asked, biting his lip. He didn't want to flat out tell her he couldn't swim. He hoped she would gather that from his question. It was something he just hadn't wanted to relearn after his injury. He bushed deeply as he waited for her to respond. He was embarrassed that he couldn't swim.

message 50: by Amber (new)

Amber | 176 comments "Yeah that's fine," she smiled. "I'd actually like it if you came," she added. When the waiter brought their food so took a couple of bites and drank more water. "I actually need to go soon because of practice," she said checking her phone for the time.
