I think there is a tiny word above any discussion on the top right that says, New Topic. I believe this is where all members are free to start a new topic! So I'm trying it by asking you to share the title of the last quilt book you read - or maybe you want to tell about one in particular that you have found most memorable or helpful to you. Maybe the most recent one you added to your collection. Then, you can add it to our library. I added one I bought after meeting Rod Kiracofe at seminar last year.

Maureen | 3 comments Just finished Welsh Quilts by Jen Jones.
I've been recently collecting old quilting books with information on the historical side of Welsh Wholecloth quilting.

I am looking for a book that I must have destashed because I cannot find it now. In the back of the book was a chapter on a woman who drew out the designs for wholecloth quilts. I remember there was a photo of a drawer she had of her quilting stencils that were cut from cardboard and some from tin. If anyone has this in their collection or knows the title I'd be thrilled.
Thanks for your help and glad to meet fellow quilt historians!

Hello Maureen!
I do not know of that book. I have Making Welsh Quilts by Mary Jenkins and paged through that. I don't see what you mention at the back of the book or anywhere throughout. I hope someone can help identify the title you're looking for.
I loved paging through this book again. I love the Welsh quilts and just get more ideas when I see the various lovely quilting motifs they use.

Maureen | 3 comments Yes, the book itself only had one chapter at the back. If I destashed it you can bet the main subject wasn't about hand quilting. The problem with finding the book is that there are no clues to this chapter in the title of the quit book itself :(

Thanks for your reply, Jean. :)

Wow. A challenge. Msybe it wi pop into your head when you are not thinking about it. I started keeping a spiral notebook of books read in 1999...now use Goodreads for record keeping. So nice and searchable as well .

Maureen | 3 comments I actually owned the book and have had so many resource books there's no way I'll remember the title. I've done searches all over the internet hoping to find some clue. My best bet is a group of readers who may have it in their stash :).
I like the idea of keeping a record of all the historical quilting resource books I've read. There are only a few I don't own that I've read through the library though :).
