just on page 36 and already what a ride this book promises to be. Amitav Ghosh's mind must be full of curiosity that makes him go into details that all of us wonder about...why did Indians serve as sepoys? how did armies the size of villages march? I am hoping of course that the story will be as good as the first two but I am also enjoying again already the use of language and the sheer detailing that brings me into the India of that era
