My mother and I have always had "similar" tastes, and I adore Maya Angelou so I will have at it. Though it seems odd to say, considering most other books on my list, this might be a light-hearted week. Then again, I could be shedding tears that usually don't come.

This is such a great book about Angelou's early life. Be prepared though, it gets pretty heavy. I hope you enjoy it.
