I agree. If you haven't yet, check out "Three Men in a Boat (To Say Nothing of the Dog)" by Jerome K. Jerome, that inspired Connie Willis' book. Dry British humor about three men taking a boating holiday up the river Thames along with a dog named Montmorency. Librivox has a free audiobook recording of it if that interests you more than getting a paper copy.

Vlad, I feel that way about Orson Scott Card. Don't clue me in on Willis' faults as a human being, let me finish enjoying her other works first. (Of course, now that you've said that, now I'll check them out from the library rather than considering purchasing them outright).
