I agree. I am also hoping for a third series. The Ruby Circle opened up a lot of possibilities and gave us some unanswered questions. A third series, maybe not a 6 book series but something would be great to answer those questions and explore more into the new stuff that was introduced.

I`m thinking it would be fun to go a whole nother way.
Like a series surrounding a non royal moroi.
or a series taking place more or less all at court.
I kinda missed jill in bloodlines, the first two books she had a part and then I kinda felt she was in the background. I would loove a series that focused on Jill much more.
and yes, would love a story focusing on declan, maybe a trilogy like you say.

Soundless will be a standalone she said so I'm thinking after that she will start a new series but she was very hush hush about it when I met her at a signing. I am curious if she will do another series in the VA world. She left it so open so I'm thinking she is leaving it open as a possibility.

She has said that she loves Malachi and Abe so thinking there might be short stories about them, and as for a new series thinking it might happen, but as she says not soon. She needs a break. I dont mind really I love her writing so I will probably love sounless and other non va related stories just as much as va.

I liked the VA series and I really enjoyed Bloodlines, but I hope that she ends it there. There's something to be said for going out on a high note. I feel like that world has been covered fully enough and I'd like a fresh series with new characters. Too often now authors beat a dead horse and just don't know when to lay a creation to bed (*cough* Cassandra Clare *cough*.) At a certain point, it gets almost tragic when a series just keeps dragging on; like a solitary drunk girl dancing on a table after everyone else has left the party.

There are so many unanswered questions. How do Rose and Dimitri take the news about Declan? How is Christian, 'cause he didn't play a big role in the Bloodlines? Well, we know nothing about him and Lissa even though she is the queen. Another thing, why weren't those to at diner with the rest of them at Adrian and Sydney? And how are those two doing? And what about Jill and Eddie? And how does a hunter and dhampir (Trey and Angeline) relationship work? And Neil, does he ever come back? And if he does what happens with Declan?I think it should be a multi-point-of-view story or at least focus on everyone from one persons view.
Which is why I think a three book series would be great. It's not too long and it's one more series to the world. It should answer every question that Ruby Circle left and others that we fans have and concludes the Vampire Academy/Bloodlines world.
I think Richelle Mead has a thing for 6 book series though. What if she had another 6 book series with the first 5 with mixed different points of views from like Abe Christian Trey and others and the last is a wrap up from Declans point of view or even third person
