Hi! Just wanted to introduce myself. Im an author as well as an avid reader. Hi to all of the group members!
Hi Quentin! It is nice to meet you! You might find the Authors section of this group interesting......
Hello everyone! I'm new to the group.
Hello there :) Group newbie here. I'm currently flitting between historical reads (fiction & non) and fantasy.I may be a bit quiet at times as I have studying, crafts and other things that occasionally occupy my time (occasionally - hah!) but I do so love to read!!
Hi Åƴαᾔηα & Annabella, thanks or the welcome :DAnnabella I'm studying a degree in Humanities - Classical Civilisations & English Literature :D
Hello all - I just joined the group (obviously).A quick question - apologies if it's a daft one.
Are you reading something together just now, or do you plan to? I saw Elizabeth Is Missing on the group book shelf but no discussion thread..? Or are you using the bookshelves in a different way?
The book sounds really interesting

Welcome to the group Annerlee.
We aren't planning on reading anything together as a group. The 'currently reading' shelve is for anyone to add their book to the group.
Once we get a lot more members we may try and see if anyone wants to read the same book =)

Hey, I'm new to good reads and have 0 idea what I'm doing, I'm also on holiday at the moment but I wanted to be part of some groups and make some new friends so here I am it guess
Hey guys, I'm new, I'm from Sweden. I'm currently working but come September I'm going back to school... university. Very nervous and excited about it! I love a lot of different kinds of books - classics, detective stories, non-fiction, academic lit, and (which I'm surprisingly the most picky with) easy-read popular fiction. It all depends on what mood I'm in :)
Glad to be here and hope to talk to all of you soon!

I was so nervous going to Uni, but I think it was because I didn't know anyone when I started. I think you will really enjoy it.
What will you be studying?
Religion, history and political science. To be honest I think I'm mostly nervous about the student debts , hehe. :)
Oh no! I wouldn't be very good at that. I hate being the centre of attention which all those eyes on me. Good luck!
Welcome Teresa and Cathy! Good luck at your University by the way Teresa, and I hope you enjoy your holiday Cathy. o;
Hello everyone! I'm new around, my name is Carla! I'm from South America but I'm currently studying at Uni in Australia.
I read mostly classics, a little poetry and a few contemporaries.
I hope you don't mind me around here and I can't wait to hear from all of you.

Welcome to Bibliophilia Carla. What are you studying at your Uni aaaand just wondering but have you ever been to Iguaza Falls? I want to see what it likes. :p
Welcome CarlitaI can't believe you have moved so far from home! What a brave move. What are you studying?
We don't mind you here at all. Check out a few topics and see what takes your fancy.
Haha well I'm studying Science, I plan to major in microbiology! Sadly I haven't been yet to Iguazu Falls, but soon I hope. There's just so much to see around!I don't think it was something particularly brave to do, moving here. I kind of needed a change of stage, breath new air. Although it took me forever to get here! I thought a 100 years had gone by while I was flying!
Anyway, I'll sure check out the topics around, and thank you for the welcome!
Not as many as one may think, but I suppose I have! And I've been here and there, but Australia is such a big place! There's still so much to see! I know most of Queensland, but apart from that, I've only been to Sydney. I'm planning on going to Melbourne during the mid semester break, but we'll see.How about you? Where are you from, Anabelle? Have you visited many places?
Have long have you been in Australia?I am from England. I'm not much of a traveler, I get homesick. I've been to few places but only for my summer holidays. Tunisia was my favourite, that was well before everything kicked off though.
I've always wanted to visit England! And Tunisia sounds nice! So long I've been here for two years, and I have two more to go.
If you don't mind me asking, what did kicked off?
England is cold. If you like a good countryside then this is the place for you. Wales is nice also.Have you picked up the accent yet?
Without causing arguments on the forums or causing any offense to anyone I would check out a news site or Google 'Tunisia unrest'
I like cold. A lot, actually. My home country isn't all that cold, but sure is colder than Australia. I think that's what I miss the most.
And I'll google it, thank you. I thought it was more like something in your life that kicked off.
About the accent, I can understand it well enough but not really speak it? English is not my first language so I have a rather basic handle of it. At first it was kinda hard to understand them, but people was very kind and they'd slow down. As time passed I got quite used to it so now I don't find it all that strange.
I love the cold, only like the warm weather when I am on holiday. I love the Australian accent. I have a friend from Australia and can listen to her all day.
Haha I don't enjoy it that much. I don't mind if it's a bearable hot day, but here in Australia is simply unbearable, sometimes! Specially during the summertime. And you must be the first person I've ever heard compliment Australian accent! Most people just complain about it, but I find it odd myself their need to shorten every word in the English vocabulary. Still, I quite like it!
Microbiology! I'm in awe of you lady :D That sounds so interesting!Another vote here for liking the Aussie accent, I think it's very charming!
Welcome and I can't wait to talk books with you :)
I just find that it makes me happy and brightens up my day. When I am having a really rubbish day my friend always rings me and just talks about anything. I end up laughing and forget how rubbish my day has been. I just love it!Yes! join us in our thread about favourite books. Do share some with us.

I can't wait till this group really gets going. It can get pretty lonely at times. Did you know that taking to yourself is a sign of craziness?
