Please enter your nominations for the July 2015 Book of the Month here. I will take suggestions until next Sunday when the poll goes up in the evening.

Thanks,
Becky

Hello Everyone:
I had an idea that might help us to increase our discussion of our monthly book.

What if the person who nominates the monthly winning book agrees to post some discussion questions, comments for discussions, or links to discuss? If you nominate the book, then probably you will read it, and you would have some interest in discussing it.

If folks would agree to carry a little discussion for their book, it might get us going in a more discussing direction.

I'd be happy to contribute what I can, if my book were to win. How about you?

Sher

Thanks Ray-- and it looks like your book will be our July selection. I am looking forward to reading it too and will be right with you!

That's great. I found Desert Solitaire is on tape, so I will listen to that one. I am very interested in The Naturalist -- E.O. Wilson is one of my heroes-- so I may read that too-but we'll see - I have company coming from Germany in July....

When I set up the Bookshelf for the "Currently Reading" option, it DOES allow me to indicate who the moderator of that particular thread is. So if the "winning suggester" doesn't mind, I will make them the moderator for that particular book so they have leeway to start up these discussion questions.

I apologize that I can't do more activity with the individual discussions...between working FT, taking care of my horses, writing a novel in the wee hours of the morning, & trying to even locate some of these books, I'm afraid I'm quite behind this year! :)

Mary Hannibal | 6 comments Hi gang -- I signed up for this group at the beginning but haven't really participated -- I intend to start now! But can someone help my addled, website-challenged brain and point me to where I see what book we are reading for July? From the comments it would seem to be Desert Solitaire. Thanks! -- Mary Ellen

Hi Mary Ellen,

The poll is still up, so I haven't posted the July book yet because you can still vote...but Desert Solitaire has quite the lead over the competition right now! :)
