Fun places you can go to to meet other Pokemon fans, compete in battles, Win tournaments and fill up your badge case! Just go to pokemon.com and find an event near you.

we could start our OWN tournaments, but they wouldnt be Play! Pokemon,That would be really cool though!
I thought tournaments used the international chess ranking system...I know the wi-fi tournaments do. you start at rank 1500 and then go up and down with wins and losses.
Maybe next time you should set some rules ;) you did kill one of my strongest ones tho' so good job! Later dude!
I think it would be a really cool idea, if we get enough people, to make a league. Like, have some gym leaders, final challenge (The elite four), and a champion. Instead of waiting a year to retry we could just have the wait be a month or so.
Over wi-fi. Someone would post a challenge to a gym leader and then the gym leader would respond with a denial, delay, or accept it.
Alright. So, We will have 12 gym leaders (that way the gym leaders will also be able to participate). If you are defeated by a gym leader you will have to give up two "badges". (one if you only have one) We will then have five people to defeat after you defeat 8 of the gym leaders, but you only need to defeat four of them to challenge the champion. Any time you lose to one of the final challenge you will have to fight all of them over again (unless you were battling a fifth one just for fun). after that there will be the current champion. When you are defeated by the champion you will be at the champion's mercy; the current champion will either decide to have you start over (completely) OR allow you a second chance. If the champion allows you a second chance then THEY decide when the rematch is. (They can ask for suggestions though). If you lose on your second chance battling the champion YOU ARE DONE. YOU MUST START OVER. A gym leader may accept, postpone or deny you a battle. Unless you personally know the gym leader/elite five member, ALL BATTLES WILL BE WI-FI FLAT SINGLE 3-on-3 BATTLES. (we might change this part later...)Example:
Bob challenges a gym leader. they accept. he smokes them. Bob challenges another gym leader they say "sure how about friday 3:00?" he wins. he defeats three more before losing to one. now he has 3 "badges". after a bit of training he goes and beats every gym leader he challenges. On to the Elite Five!
Defeats three and then loses to the last one. (arghh!) then he loses to the first. third try is good and he defeats all five. he challenges the champion. The champion says "I'm going on vacation...how about in a week?" Bob loses to the champion but the champion gives him another shot. this time he wins.
Bob is the champion! (are ya confused yet?)
If you want to be a gym leader or elite five just tell me. You will need to explain how hard you train them, for example: "I just catch em and bring em up to lv. 100." or, "I breed them to get the natures I want and then fight until they are strong enough to defeat the elite four on their own." or whatever the case may be.You may hold up to five positions.
(In no particular order)
Gym 1: Landon/Fighting. The Iron Fist gym.
Gym 2: Landon/Grass. The Sunlight gym
Gym 3: Landon/poison. The Toxic gym
Gym 4: Landon/Ice. The Hailstorm gym
Gym 5: Sea Froakie/flying. Sky gym
Gym 6: Sea Froakie/fire. Heat gym
Gym 7: Sea Froakie/water. Wave gym
Gym 8: Sea Froakie/electric. Lighting gym
Gym 9:
Gym 10:
Gym 11:
Gym 12:
Elite 1: Landon/Dark The black stadium
Elite 2: James/Dragon The dragon stadium (On hold,
James hasn't completed his qualification battle.)
Elite 3:
Elite 4:
Elite 5:
Current champion: Sea Froakie
Extra rules:
The gym leaders may not give themselves badges.
You can only hold one elite five position.
If any of the Elite Five are defeated five times in a row they become gym leaders. (the strongest gym leader then becomes one of the elite five). If a gym leader is defeated ten times in a row then they will be forced to resign.
Any newcomer may challenge the champion directly. However, they will only get one shot. If the champion is defeated While the opponent still has at least one pokemon in green health then the callenger is the new champion. When a champion loses to a challenger in this way they only have to collect three badges before challenging the Elite Five.
You may not battle the same gym twice for two diffrent badges.
A gym leaders pokemon are NEVER set. They may switch the pokemon they use as often as they want. (as long as they stay within the gym's ype)
There are only two ways to become part of the elite five.
1. You are the strongest gym leader and one of the elite five is defeated five times in a row
OR
2. There is an open spot and you defeat me. (Not one of my gyms, me)
