The Miniaturist Buddy-read discussion

I know Claire's pretty busy right now, but she's started the book and obviously so have a bunch of the rest of us so I'm sure she won't mind me setting up these topics to get the discussion rolling.
Erin's suggestions for break points in the novel seemed pretty good so I'm just gonna go ahead and use those.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm kinda struggling with this book... it's no where near as engrossing as I thought it would be but then again, it's not helping that I'm very much stopping-and-starting with reading this as this month has been quite busy for me. Loving the atmosphere, despising the characters but definitely still interested to see where it will go.
