For me, my all time best non-fiction writer is the great thinker Malek Bennabi. I recommend all his books especially:
- The Qur'anic Phenomenon
- The Question Of Ideas In The Muslim World
- Les Conditions de la Renaissance

and i'm elso a very big fan of Dan Brown and all his books

Nace, I also read 3 books of Paulo Coelho, he has a good style. I liked L'alchimiste and a little bit less The Fifth Mountain but I was disappointed in Warrior of the Light
I will try to discover the Russian writers you mentioned sometime.

The Alchemist is a masterpiece i also liked Veronika Decides to Die and The Winner Stands Alone
