I read the book in the late 80's or early 90's. Story is about a woman who met a "sea creature" and fell in love/lust with it. It took place in a tropical land. She kept going back into the water to meet up with this creature. I do not know the title or author and would like help finding the book so I can re-read it. Bizarre, but interesting story.

Could be "The lust lizard of melancholy cove " by cristopher moore
I THINK I found the book! It's "Seven Tears Into The Sea" by Terri Farley. Although, it says 2005. I was sure I read it many years before that. Thank you for your help!
