For our July m/m buddy read we will be reading The Once and Future Love .

Anthony Davis, A-list Hollywood star, is adored by millions for his talent and striking good looks. Approaching fifty and feeling the pressure of competing with younger stars, he realizes that despite all he's achieved, he's alone and lonely. Then Anthony encounters Rob Harrison, who tutored him in college, at a fundraiser. Despite the chemistry between them back then, Anthony chose his career over love, and he recognizes the mistake he made at last. As he leaves the fundraiser, he glimpses a shooting star and makes a hopeless wish... asking for another chance with Rob.

I read this one today, different sort of second chance romance. I liked it, it was good but not great for me.

I'm hoping to get to this one over the weekend :)

Any ideas for the next couple of months? I think the only things on my radar are in series so not good options. I'm open to just about anything. I'll go look through the list we came up with before to see if there was one I was more interested in.

It looks like Masters & Boyd was one several of us were interested in. There were a whole bunch more listed and any of them sound good to me too. Here is the discussion with the books listed:

Masters & Boyd sounds great to me, I've had it on my radar for a long time. I'm happy with whatever everyone else wants for the other pick...I'm still brain-dead enough that suggestions are beyond me right now! =P

What about ? They are all stand alones in a series and I think none of us has read it. Or the one before it?

I have both and on my kindle.


*edit- I don't have Prelude. I really thought I did. I must be losing it.

I'm not quite there yet, but I can catch up easily if we do that for September! And I have been looking for a reason to read the next book anyway, so this could be it for me! =)

I don't really consider the Blue Notes books totally stand-alone because they do have some major character crossovers in some of the books, but they REALLY don't need to be read in order...in fact, the order the books were written (and are numbered) is not the chronological order. I would have no problem reading them out of order, and I'm generally more than a little obsessive about that. In fact, if I'd known before I started the series, I would have read them in a different order on purpose! =P Chronologically, Encore is the first book, so I'd be happy to read it next, even though I'm not that far in the series.
