It is really tough to pick one when all of them stand out in one way or the other but I have to agree with you on Abby! I like her character development, for all we know we can have another story with her in it. Really enjoyed the book.
I think mine would be Martin. Yes, he is an arsch but he realized his mistakes and apologized. I really thought he was Blue. :D
I also have to agree with you on Abby! She is such a nice and bubbly character, I wish she were my friend, haha.
I actually really liked Bram and Garett, although they don't appear that often but together with Nick they were a great trio, humorous :) and oh well Abby was good too but a bit too much for me >.<
I have to agree with Kath. I really liked Martin (taking aside the blackmailing thing). I liked that he was the class clown but also that he was really fun to hand out with and a bit geeky. I especially liked the fact that he recognised his mistake and acted upon it, and I find that very admirable.

Mine is Blue, no doubt. He was so calm and collected, so brilliant. I really liked him so much. And my favorite chapters were always the ones we got to know him better, and of course when we found out who he was. I love Blue. *sigh* so dreamy *sigh* *smile* Like him more than nutella and oreas. Haha, yeah, I'm done :)

I liked Leah, probably because I identified with her a lot. Holding a secret torch for someone, doesn't consider herself pretty, and gets crazy emotional about her friends. I really felt for her. I was sad when she and Nick didn't happen, but the Garrett thing in the end gave me hope. Garrett is so cute sounding and funny so I think she deserves someone that easy going :-D
I have to say I love Abby and Leah, both of them are pretty strong characters and influence in Simon's life, I could identify with both of them, specially Abby, she was funny, creative and as some of you already said, trustworthy. However I also love Leah; her character is pretty emotional and I feel like sometimes she just needed a friend and some reassuring person who she could trust.

I love Blue's character, I think he's absolutely adorable. I was squealing when Simon found the letter inside the t-shirt, because Blue is so sweet. Abby is also one of my favorites because I think she's such a good friend to Simon :D
It's really hard for me to pick a favorite character cause I really couldn't connect with any of the characters. The one that I liked the most though was Martin ( besides all the blackmailing thing ). I don't know why but he just seems to be a geeky, funny and really nice guy. And I really thought that he's Blue or at least that was what I was hoping for.
But Bram was also a really cute guy, don't get me wrong. (:
But Bram was also a really cute guy, don't get me wrong. (:
My favorite is Nora, out of all the characters she's the one I related to the most, and the way her character grew from start to finish amazed me. Not only did she rock out, but she stayed true to herself and not to mention I loved every interaction between her and Simon they were true siblings. Nora rocks!!!!
I spent a long time debating which character I liked the most, and tbh, all of them were interesting and had a positive effect on Simon's life so I couldn't choose one. - Martin, because he would've made a great friend for Simon if their friendship worked out.
- Nora, she was like, the sister of my dreams. I loved how she supported Simon.
And certainly Blue. Blue of the email. I really felt like he was a different character from the real guy.
I really enjoyed all of the characters and how they fit together, but I think my favorite is Bram. There are a lot of things about him that I related to. I felt like we got to know a lot about him through the emails and for me that helped develop even small things in the book like their lunch table group once we learned it was him.
My favorite supporting character would have to be Abby. Just because I see a lot of myself in her and she's so understanding and close with simon.
I felt like I could really relate to Leah and her insecurities and her character development really inspired me. BUT, my favorite supporting character has got to be Blue. The emails were adorable and from the reveal onwards, I just grinned with every page turn. Blue was so quietly charming with that great side of mischief and just perfect for Simon :)
umm I really can't choose. They're all amazing and special in their own way. And Blue is just adorable and cute.
I liked all the characters a lot, but I felt connected to Leah the most. She's into all the things I'm into, including indie bands, yaoi, and anime. But I really related to her when she was upset with Simon about being kept out of the loop. I personally hate when I'm left out. It feels like I've been abandoned. I hate being the last one to know, so I feel like I can really relate to Leah in that way. Plus she plays drums and I always wanted to play drums as a kid.
Might be a bit of a weird one but I really liked Martin. It was really great to see a character who genuinely was kind-hearted and well-meaning be the "villain" so to speak, rather than some two-dimensional spiteful character, which is what I'm used to seeing in this kind of high school book. It really reflected that way teens are so caught up in their own problems they can do such cruel things to the people around them and remain completely blind to the fact. For a while I was also hoping he would turn out to be Blue, but as the story went on that made less sense. But Martin and Simon could've ended up as great friends, yet the conflict went unresolved between them. You feel bad for Martin who apologised as best as he could and meant none of the harm he caused, but at the same time Simon was justified in choosing not to forgive him. You didn't quite know who to feel bad for. I liked that, it felt so much more real. All the characters in this were really honestly written, I thought. Even though we saw everything through Simon's thoughts, you could really get a feel for the inner turmoil the other characters were experiencing. Leah stands out to me in that sense. Even though Simon was continually baffled by how she reacted to things, as the reader you could see past that and feel her resentment, her low self-esteem, and ultimately her triumph at the end. The characters really made this book for me. :)

Mine would be Abby! (Aside from Simon) Because she's real and cool and trustworthy! She proved that real friendship is not based on years of togetherness but the moments that you are there each other! :))
But I love all the characters!!! :))
