Arish sat on a rock by the edge of the moat, playing with the seams of her white dress. It was calm days like this that she loved, when she could just sit around and do almost nothing. Just think. About her dead boyfriend. About her family. About her life.
((It's ok!))
Arish turned, slightly startled by Beau. "Oh, uh, hi!" she said quickly. "You're the person in waiting for the oldest prince, right? Boyce, right?" Arish felt like an idiot right now. She should know who he was!

"Oh, oops, sorry!" Arish stuttered. "Dumb slippup! Yes, I'm the oldest princess's person-in-waiting, mh-hm!" She blinked a couple of times. "I'm not startled! Nothing to apologize for! Nothing at all!" She needed to stop stuttering...right now...
Arish nodded. "Mm-hm! And I'm Arish! But you might've known that." she said, throwing a rock into the moat.
"Oh, not much. Kinda just sitting here and staring at the moat, which seems like a really odd thing to do, but I've been doing it a lot lately." Arish said, staring at the moat. "Sometimes I count the circles that appear after I throw a pebble into it."
"32. And I'm not really sure how come, I guess the water is pretty?" Arish said. She picked up a pebble, raised it over her head to throw it, and accidentally dropped it on top of her own head. Arish frowned, patting her head.
"Oh, I really wouldn't know!" Arish laughed. "The pebble hit my head! But it's a pebble, so it doesn't really hurt. It leaves a tingling on the tp of my head though."
Arish nodded. "Like a giant boulder. Or the moon. That would hurt a lot more,so I should be happy it's just a pebble!" she laughed. She grabbed a medium sized rock and tossed it into the water, not bothering to count the rings.
((It's ok!))
Arish nodded. "So do you like working in the castle?" she asked. Arish knew she did, except for when one of the royals was grumpy. That made things harder, especially if it was her royal.
