VAMPIRES:
Vampires are, essentially, meant to be perfect predators. They are fast, strong, and a rare few are gifted with a single extra ability. As mentioned, they're supposed to be perfect. However, one downfall is their perfection. They are constructed, structured, framed, aligned too well. They stand out, draw attention. They capture the gaze of many, and that is what exposes them. It is unknown how they came about, but suddenly they were. And they spread like a disease. One bite, three excruciating days, and if you survive, a second life.

ᴘ ɪ ᴛ ғ ᴀ ʟ ʟ s ;
· the sun doesn't make them sparkle; it works like sunburn. The longer they stay out, the more they burn.
· eye color changes before and after feeding
· the body is constantly producing a venom that changes victims if they are not fully drained, which is rare
· have very little self-control when feeding

WERES ( SHIFTERS ):
These are shifters that have come about in response to Vampires. No, they aren't the true Children of the Moon; the Volturi has made great efforts to eradicate their kind. These. however, are people gifted with the ability to shift into the form of a specific animal. This is commonly hereditary and is passed on more predominantly through males. Few females are known to be shifters, unlike with the true Children of the Moon.

ᴘ ɪ ᴛ ғ ᴀ ʟ ʟ s ;
· most shifters shift based on emotions. A strong emotional reaction will provoke them to shift
· they have a tendency to appear more animalistic in the earlier years of breaking out as shifters
· are often very sluggish after a shift, and is usually accompanied by a high fever when they first shift
· have a significantly shorter lifespan

WERES ( CHILDREN OF THE MOON ):
Children of the Moon are those that are typically forced into shifting through a lunar cycle. It can be hereditary, or you may be bitten. They become half-man, half-animal beings on most occasions, with a rare exception of those that can fully take the form of an animal. The animal is dependent on the gene once receives from a parent or when being bitten. This is a trait commonly passed through females, and is known to skip generations. It's a random, and if given the gene, unfortunate thing. Most have been hunted down by the Volturi, but there have been a few popping at to howl to the moon in recent times.

ᴘ ɪ ᴛ ғ ᴀ ʟ ʟ s ;
· most have a tendency to succumb to lunacy
· those who do not usually suffer from a mental affliction
· transformations are tied to the lunar cycle
· full bodied transformations result in crippling pain for days, sometimes weeks
· most continue to behave as their respective animal for a day to a week after their transformations
