plop, plop, plop,
interrupted by thunder,
your smile flashes in the night.

the house shakes for one reason,
the bed for another,
and it's dazzling to see your smile.

can i love you? i whispered
to the lightening as it fell,
and the raindrops as they rumbled,
and the thunder as it struck,
and the stars peaked their heads
over the chaos
and you smiled.

plop, plop, plop,
can't hinder your untethered breathing,
and plop, plop, plop,
there i go again,
thinking about how much
i crave your smile.

I think this is one of my favorites of yours. It's very different from your usual style, but I like it. Beautiful. (:
