(view spoiler)[Steve had just been training some of the new recruits and his body was covered in sweat from head to toe. It felt disgusting and didn't really fit the image of the well put together captain he presented to the younger members of the team but he couldn't exactly help it since he had basically gone straight from a mission to the training room with no shower or even rest in between. He felt kinda guilty to be walking through the common room looking like this but he had to in order to get back to his room as the elevator had taken a dislike to him. Whether it was because of Tony or just a coincidence he didn't know. But he hoped it stopped soon as he was fed up of parading through the common room after hard missions when he was bone dry and emotionally drained due to most of his missions nowadays consisting of being his and Sam's 'missing person's case'. And to be honest he was disappointed their search had turned up nothing so far. The winter soldier seemed to have disappeared all together. He just hoped HYDRA hadn't terminated him deciding he was a liability. And if he was undercover Steve wanted to get to him before HYDRA did anymore damage. Sam kept telling him he would have to be careful with Bucky as he wouldn't be the same person which did annoy him a little bit as he wasn't naïve and knew better than anyone what it was like trying to live up to an ideal- in some respects he wasn't even sure if his teammates saw him as Steve or as the national hero- the symbol of freedom and whatever else they called him these days. He was just a boy from Brooklyn that did what he had to for his country. He only did what was right nothing more. (hide spoiler)]

I am familiar with more image editors and other external sources online as well over the past few months now and find them easy to navigate with gifs and photos.

"Wake up." The jailer called out to the multiple gladiators in his rusty old voice. But Atticus was already awake, hiding away in the corner of his excuse for a room. He was a rather large man, so squeezing into such a small area was a difficult task to accomplish, but nonetheless he made it work as he drew his knees to his chest. Sleep was not the answer for him- it never had been, at least not for the past seven years. All it offered him was nightmares dosed in blood. Memories he wished to forget. His six year olds frozen body forever trapped as an image in his mind, her mother not too far away from where the young ones bodies laid on the floors. Irritably he closed his eyes as he stood; his chains dragging along the floor behind him. Once he was on his feet the door to his cell was opened. This was routine.

First he had breakfast with the other hundreds of men here, then they'd go to train out in the courtyard area, and soon later they'd establish an order for tonights Performance. Their lives were nothing but a joke, and a show, for the public. Tonight was especially important being that the Emperor would grace them with his presence. Slumping down into a chair a metal tray was placed in front of him seconds later with what was supposed to be food, but looked to be the remains of some lowly animal. Atticus wouldn't even dare to be surprised if it was the body of a long gone warrior from the show just a few days ago. Alas, he was not above cannibalism, and the thought didn't bother him. The days here had certainly changed him from the honorable man he'd once been. His fingers clenched around the horribly crafted metal fork in his hand as he thought of the man that had forced him into this life. He was a slave to the stadium, but he had a plan, this would be his last fight, and then he'd be a free man.

They were only given a few moments to finish up their morning meal before they were back on their feet, and filed outside. Soon enough their shackles were removed, and whilst others rubbed at their wrist he managed to stand tall and proud- refusing to be broken. Despite the circumstances a smile played at his lips, and it stayed there, even as he was whipped for being happy. No doubt this was his own personal hell, but he'd press through. Tonight things would change. For the first time in years he'd see the man who'd taken his life away, and he'd make him pay. His blood wouldn't be enough though. Once he was out of the stadium he'd have to find a way back in. Back into the palace.

Atticus paced around the arena at a leisurely slow walk. The master of the stadium didn't seem to be bothered about the wandering gladiator though- after all what was he- an unarmed man- against fifty of the guards best. But over the past few weeks he'd been working on something far more important, and it was his plan to map out every single spec of dust in this five hundred foot circle. Shifting his shoulders he forced himself to become in a relaxed state as he counted his footsteps in time with the clashing of weapons against armory. The men that forced them in here weren't complete savages as weapons were provided for them, but the bets that were placed on the fighters was immoral, and made them lesser beings to the ones in here who were here for their families, and their wrongdoings.

One split second he was walking with his hands stabilized behind his back, and in the next he was ducking for cover before rolling back to his feet. A soft laugh escaped his mouth, but it held no humor as he looked to the ax that had fallen to the ground after a failed attempt of getting Atticus' attention. He wasn't ignorant, and this may have very well been an attempt at his life, but that wouldn't be too surprising. He was the largest man here, one of the best with a sword, and he was light on his feet which made him a nice challenge for all competitors. Losing fights was uncommon, but even when he did he'd never been sent to the other side. The entertainers feared losing him as he was the publics favorite. Nonetheless a grin slipped onto his lips as his eyes roamed the small space before looking toward the man that had thrown the metal death trap. When someone flashed a smile his way he threw it in their direction, it barely missed the guys head by a small margin. Stepping forwards he muttered a few profanities under his breath before approaching him. "Good try Hem, but you're going to have to do a little better then than that to get me out of the ring." Atticus told him with a slap to the back.

From there the training became a senseless moment of nothing as he fought against many of the other warriors with little to no effort. Tonight's fight would be easily won, and once he found out who he'd be going against it only put the odds more so in his favor. Returning to his cell he carefully planned out everything once more. They'd save him for last, this meant he had a chance to fade away into the crowd, grab a horse and escape before anyone could so much as bat an eyelash. Of course what he'd do next was still left to question, but he knew for certain he'd make a life for himself far from Rome and it's corrupted leader. And though he wanted to get away he still had to take him out as well. It would certainly be news to him later that the emperor was not making an appearance at the stadium tonight.

Sully walked confidently down the trail that led to the Delta cabins avoiding eye contact with most to all of the people he passed. It was early morning though and campers were still arriving so it wasn't so difficult to go by unnoticed, especially when the only one who bothered to remember his name was the camp counselor. Perhaps that was his own fault in more ways then one. His accent made it difficult for others to understand, and though he sounded more American each day he was still suffering from the teasing he'd gotten in his first year in the states. Casually he shifted his duffel across his shoulders so that it felt more comfortable. The design on the side practically screamed tourist with the Mount Rushmore statue on it. Needless to say his parents had gone a little overboard on their road trip to see all the wonders of the United States. Not that he minded at all, the souvenirs were great, but perhaps the bobble heads of mini Jefferson, Washington, Roosevelt and Lincoln were a bit over the top. So distracted by his thoughts he almost went right by and missed the cabin in which he was to stay in for the next few months. Turning back on his heels he laughed humorously under his breath before pushing open the door. If he was to use his eyes rather then his instincts he would've realized sooner that the cabin was strictly girls, but he came to that conclusion based on the one standing in the middle of the cabin with a shirt over her head. Not wanting to be seen he reached for the handle of the door, but it was too late as it slammed closed with a loud echo to follow.

Maeve pressed herself against the cold, hard, stone corridor as she saw candlelight making it's way up towards her. Was it candlelight? Or was she being delusional? She blinked a few times, craned her neck, and realized the faint glow belonged to that of fire. Whoever held the wax candle was moving awfully slowly, and it bought Maeve time.

Her own torch she had extinguished minutes before, the empty fire resistant rod lay discarded on the floor beside her. Should she pick in back up? She could perhaps use it as a weapon against the individual making its way towards her. At least she hoped it was a living being. Silly, silly thoughts, the girl contemplated to herself. The headmistress, her parents, any adults would surely scold her for even considering this for a moment.

Maeve hugged her arms to herself in an attempt to disconnect some bare skin from the frigid and itchiness of the mortared wall. Her knee high dress was skin tight, and the sleeves fell to just above her elbows, pinned tightly in place. The black heels she wore were beginning to make her teeter in place from standing still so long. Her hair had been pinned with what felt like dozens of bobby pins to keep the hair pulling bun and auburn curls in place.

Maeve couldn't do it anymore. She had to face her fears; she wouldn't be a 'proper lady' and wait for some dashing gentleman to come and save her as was taught at her snobby all girls academy. She shook her feet slightly first, to awaken them from their rest and to prevent numbness. Clack! The heel connected with the solid barrier pressed into her back. (hide spoiler)]

Lana woke up with a shake her tan body covered in beads of sweat. This entire week Lana had drifted to sleep only to be trapped by her darling nightmares each one different and grueling each day. Lana rubbed her eyes and glanced at the clock on her drawer it read 12:30 pm. She forced herself up and threw the sheets off of her body and gently lifted herself up from her cozy queen sized bed. Lana felt her way around her room waiting for her brown eyes to adjust to the darkness. She walked over to Mouse,her greyhound and nudged him gently,he quickly awoke and made his way to Lana's bed someone had to take her place right? Lana quickly pulled on a loose shirt and some sweats and rummaged through her messy drawer looking for her black cloak. After what seemed hours she finally found and draped it around her shoulders. She opened the door and quietly found her way to Lana's and Jasper's secret place.

After being abandoned so many times and hurt by so many previous Masters, finding one who was nice to him, one who gave him a name and affection, he was terrified of leaving her and having her disappear while he was gone. It took quite a bit of convincing for him to accept that she would not leave without him, and as such he now decided to take the chance to learn about the place they lived at now. He was in his dog form, an adorable Golden Labrador puppy, as he ran around, sniffing everything that he was interested in with a collar around his neck that said he was owned by someone. Or at least, it looked like he was wearing a collar, it was a simple illusion so he could wander freely and if he got lost, beg someone to take him to the address on the 'collar'. He was sniffing around on a sidewalk when he came across a piece of leather folded funny. It had a persons scent on it and he nosed it open to see a picture and weird green thingies folded inside. Someone must be looking for this.... he thought to himself, plopping himself down in front of the wallet and tilting his head to the side to stare at it, one of his ears flopped across and over the top of his head. He suddenly bounced to his paws excitedly, an idea forming in his mind. OH! I KNOW!! I CAN FIND THE PERSON THIS LEATHER BELONGS TO AND GIVE IT BACK AND BE GOOD AND GET PETS!!! he thought excitedly, sniffing around before scooping up the wallet and charging off eagerly down the sidewalk with it in his mouth....only to trip over his own paws in his eagerness and tumble head over tail onto his back. Wriggling back onto his paws, he scooped up the wallet again and charged off.

Teddy stopped many times in his rather straightforward charge to sniff out the person's scent before scooping the wallet up and taking off again, overexcited at the idea of doing something good that would make someone want to be nice to him. He practically lived off of kindness, especially now that he was around his Master, who was nicer than any of his other Masters. She didn't hurt him for anything, not even that one time he spilled his food on the floor by accident. His mind was a whirl of happiness and excitement, and as such he almost didn't see the car as he charged for the road, only to be stopped by a person picking him up. Tail wagging furiously, he looked up at the man who picked him up, his whole face lit up with excitement and keeping a firm grip on the wallet. "Whoa, there little one. You may be charged with fetching a wallet, but you gotta wait to cross the street." he said with a chuckle, scratching behind Teddy's ears and watching his tail wag even faster. Waiting for the light to turn, he walked Teddy across the street and put him down, watching him race around him twice in excited circles before charging off again.

Teddy was passing an elementary school when the children were suddenly let out for recess. His eyes widened when he saw all the kids and his whole little body wriggled in excitement. He loved kids, they were always super nice to him and smelled of food and he'd never been hurt by a kid, they even would make an effort to pet him when they passed him in the shelters. So of course the right thing to do was......forget entirely about his quest to return the wallet, drop it in a hidey hole, then charge eagerly towards the kids as fast as his tiny paws could take him in order to be wrapped up in the embrace and pure love that any child has for a dog. He spent the better portion of the morning playing with the kids, chasing them around excitedly and being pet and fed the crumbs from their snacks....it was heavenly. But, all good things must come to an end, and that was the same for the children as the bell rang to call them all back inside, though not without all of them giving him a good farewell pet. Tongue lolling from his mouth as he panted, he moved to leave the playground to find some water when he tripped over the wallet he was supposed to be returning. Remembering his self-assigned task, he scooped it up again and took off, trying to focus this time.

His focus did not last long. He got entirely sidetracked by a bird he swore, in hindsight, was mocking him, so he had to spend a good handful of minutes chasing it down, barking excitedly. Remembering when he once again tripped over the wallet, he scooped it up and charged away again....only to stop outside a restaurant that smelled of very delicious food. His stomach rumbled and he was so tempted to beg for scraps, but he had to find the owner of the wallet before the owner got any farther away. Focusing, though a whine at his desire to try the new smells food, he ran off again until finally, finally he found a trail that smelled of just the person and he followed it until he could spot someone standing on the bridge. He moved to hide and transform back to human, then quickly dusted the wallet off on his clothes in case of slobber (he'd drooled quite a bit over the food smells), he ran up to the man excitedly, bouncing on the balls of his feet with a huge grin on his face. "HIYA!" he chirped happily. "I know you don't know me and that's okay because I don't know you but that doesn't matter because I found you and that's great because I was looking for you and...." he paused in his rambling to take a deep breath and hold out the wallet with a huge grin. "I think you dropped this! I found it over on the other side of town, so I brought it to you!" as he spoke, he looked so impossibly ecstatic over the simplest of things as returning a lost item that one would be hard pressed to not smile back. (view spoiler)[Kaia waited patiently as Kali recited the prophesy. She tried to keep her mind devoid of deep thoughts of the quest. She too, found it interesting that the number was five as well. Although it did say two would fail and turn away. She hoped that didn't mean two people would die. It didn't directly say that they would die necessarily, but prophesies seemed to always have double meanings, if the stories about others quests were anything to go by.

She looked up as Chiron acknowledged her and blushed when he asked if she missed the limelight.
"Um, yeah. Kind of," she said honestly. She couldn't lie to Chiron. "It's not something that really goes away once you have it. I think I might always miss it," she continued, getting lost in her own world for a moment. She had very much enjoyed the spotlight and while she now understood that being so recognizable was a very bad thing, she couldn't help but yearn to be noticed again. Feeling like she made differences in people's life and gave entertainment as a temporary relief from the ugly and bitter reality. She didn't think she would ever not miss the spotlight. Realizing she had fallen silent for quite some time now, she shook her head to clear her thoughts.

"Well, um, maybe we should focus more the the quest," she suggested rather nervously. (hide spoiler)]
(view spoiler)[Adelina jolted awake, but didn't move from where she was. She realized she was lying on her back on a metal floor and moving upwards. She didn't know how long she had been moving upwards, but couldn't believe she had slept through the ear-shattering noise of the platform rising. A thought came to her. Had she been unconscious? She slowly opened her eyes, nervous to see what would be there. She thought she had gone blind. She forced herself to slow her breathing before also realizing that she could see the faint outline of her hand. A bit more relaxed, but still on edge, she surveyed her surroundings- or what she could see of them. She was definitely going up in some sort of metal box. But what would happen when the box-like contraption stopped, she had no idea. She tried to remember what had led to this predicament when her breath hitched. She couldn't remember anything. She roamed her mind, but couldn't find anything about herself or her family or what has happened to her. The whole amnesia thing shocked her mind and she huddled in a corner to think things out. He shrugged and left the room, leaving Black alone with a frantic girl. He took a few steps forward and knelt down so that only the forcefield was between them. Well, that was a lie. There was so much more. "Mara," he whispered, tears welling up in his eyes. He looked down at her wrists, the cuts on them; her small body; her matted hair that used to be so nice; her eyes that looked so hollow you could almost see through to the bone underneath. "What happened?" His voice was tiny, so small that he wasn't sure that even he could understand what he was saying. A tear fell onto his hand but that was the only one; within a few seconds it had dried up as if it had never been there before. It was a silly question to ask and he already knew that she'd just explained. He looked down at his own left hand and saw a golden band on his fourth finger - an engagement ring.

He couldn't remember. He couldn't remember. "I- I can't remember," he told her, his voice shaky at first but when he said it again, it was stronger. "I can't remember, Mara," he said more urgently, leaning forward so that his forehead was pressed against the invisible field. A sharp shock went through him but he ignored it. "They did something to me. I don't know what's going on. Each time I see you or you see me I have to pretend like I don't know you, like I don't know what's going on. It- it hurts," he knew he was rambling on like she had just done, but he couldn't help it. Then he realised that the doctor wouldn't have heard anything. He swallowed and spoke in a confident voice, "I think you've got the wrong person. I don't know who you are," he said, though his eyes meant otherwise. He shook his head, willing her to understand that he did know her, but he was only saying it for the doctor. Whether she would catch on or not was a different matter. His voice changed again, "The doll- no, I don't know. Or your father, the bandages, anything. But in the Arena- yes. It never goes away. They've screwed us both over, Mara." A feeble laugh escaped his mouth, "I was hoping only I would be the one to do that, you know? To get close enough to you that I.. I wouldn't be able to help myself. But you've changed. I've changed. We'll probably never be the same. I'd like to say I love you, but I don't trust myself enough to tell you that. I'd like to do unimaginable things to you, but I don't trust myself enough to think that you'd let me do that. They won't let us do that." He stood up, tears dripping onto the floor and making a puddle round his feet. "This is all we'll get," he whispered, shoving his hands into his pockets. "Say anything you want now, and then- and then I'll be gone." (hide spoiler)]
