Leena was rather very lost at this time. She thought it would be fun but its been horrible since her feet are starting to hurt. Her light sweater hung off her shoulders which had a few scratches from some branches and her knees were scraped because she fell. Thus was an adventure bit one of a bad kind. Non of the wounds hurt anymore since her body was healing and being a daughter of Apollo. She looked down at her boot cladded feet which hurt from the long walk she was having. Maybe she should of taken Avi's offer on a tour of the camp. Bad choices were common for her thought so she should of known.
Chase was up in the trees, taking a break from all the work he was doing. He had been working a lot in the forge and helping out some of the new kids. Basically, he was teaching them how to control their powers. He was also quite worn out from his newest creation which was a robotic hand. He was still working on it but it was to the point where it had reflexes like a human would.
As he was relaxing, he heard footsteps and immediately, he pulled out his dagger. Seeing it was nothing but a girl, a pretty girl, he put it away. But she looked terribly lost from the way she was acting. However, he could be wrong. He called down to her, "Lost miss?"
Being surprised was and understatement because Leena tripped and fell backwards. She groaned and looked up at the sunny sky through the trees. Her butt now hurt from the impact. Her dark hair was sprawled out around her. "God oh mighty," she muttered before setting up. Looking around was when she saw the blonde in the tree. "Being lost is the best way to learn," she said while burshing the twigs from her hair. Anyone could tell she was new to camp but it didn't mean she wasn't fragile. That's been what people think of her because she's a bit small in size. "Who are you?" she asked leaning on her knees.
Chase was concerned, seeing he made her fall pretty hard but he saw her stand up nd felt his concern fade away. He chuckled a little, "True, but I wouldn't recommend it. Especially around these parts," he said. As she asked who he was, he jumped down in front of her. "The name's Chase," he told her. He quickly glanced over her. "You must be new around here. I haven't seen you around before. What's your name?"
Leena stood up and looked at him. She was a lot shorter then him so she had to look up at him. "Its a camp, not much can happen but get hurt." She pucked leaves off her clothes. After she done that she looked back up and even took two steps to see his face without looking completely up at the sky. "I am new but I guess that's because I stick out like a sore thumb. I'm Leena," she held out her hand to shake his. Try to straighten up, those words echoed in her head because of her mom. Even though she seemed sweet if was only from the recent year of moving away from her old friends that were rather troublesome.
Chase chuckled again at her. She was quite right actually. All you did here was try not to get hurt. Chase saw her hand stick out and he took it with his soft hand and firmly shook her hand. "Nice to meet you Leena," he said to her. Chase let go before straightening a bit more. He couldn't help but notice that she didn't seem to be in any pain, even after that hard fall. Surely he would have been leaning if he were to fall that hard and the pain would have been noticeable.
Leena felt like he was trying to figure her out and why she didn't feel like she was hurting. Since she was little she had a high pain tolerance and was often getting hurt but never really felt it. She now just assumed it was because her father was Apollo. "I'd say the same, Chase." To her he was amazingly attractive but then again she had always loved blonde hair. Thinking about it she saw more to him then most would think. She was a great archer but it was because her eyes were keen and perfect so she hardly missed.
She gave a small smile before looking at her scratched up knees which were almost healed. "You seem really confused," she muttered while looked back at him. Maybe they could be friends in the least because he seemed friendly. "Is it because of me and the fall backwards I had?" she gave him a smirk since that was a concern her mom would have. Lee's mom would of freacked out and taken her to the doctor to make sure she was fine. The woman she called mom drinks still but stopped a lot of it to raise her so that was her being caring and loving.
Chase raised an eyebrow as she noticed his confusion. Was it really that obvious? As she noted that it could have been the fall, he nodded. "Yeah, I was um, wondering how in the world you can tolerate that. I assume it is because of your parent?" Chase asked her, curiously. He placed his hands in his pockets. His raised eyebrow faded and he looked more relaxed. She sure was pretty with her black hair and brown eyes but he shook it off. He probably shouldn't be thinking like that.
Leena nodded at him with a sighed. "I assume so as well. My dad's actually Apollo and no it isn't that obvious. My mom is always concerned and confused but she freaks when I do stuff like that." She picked at the sleeve of her knit sweater she wore which was habit. The light gray sweater was loose and baggy on her but she had the cute girl look. Her black shorts were mid thigh instead of her usual short shorts.
"So Chase, since I am lost would you like to abduct me or take MW back to camp?" Another trait in which Leena had was humor. She loved to joke around and have people laugh at her clumsiness. Sometimes people took itthe wrong way be she felt he wouldn't and would laugh at the lame joke she had.
Chase nodded, completely understanding why she could heal so quick. He almost thought that she was the daughter of the God of Medicine. Guess he was wrong. Chase laughed at her. "Abduct you? Oh come on, I am not that bad. Actually, I could show you the hangout." He said with a shrug. Chase bit his lip as she watched her play with her sleeve. It was kinda cute in a way. Again, he had to shake it off.
Leena smiled at his laughed and gave a small chuckle. "Its just a joke. I do that when I'm nervous," she rubbed her arms. She joked almost all the time but it was worse when she was nervous. When he bit his lip she fisted her hands in the long sleeves of her sweater. To her Chase was like a cookie that she couldn't have. He was handsome and a nice guy which to her was hard to coke by. Most guys she knew were jerks and just wanted something before breaking a heart.
Chase raised an eyebrow. "Nervous? Never made a girl nervous before," he said with a wink. He couldn't help himself. She was cute! He just had to tease her. Maybe even flirt a little... Chase rubbed the back of his neck, his mind wandering a little. "So what do you say? Tour? But now," he sighed sarcastically, "Abducting is an option according to you," he said with a smirk.
Leena shook her head at him with a sigh. "This is a new place for me so I'm nervous," she mumbled to him with an eye roll. He was adorable but she wasn't an easy person to catch. Yes she'll flirt and tease back but it takes more then that to make her feel special. "If you do try to abduct me please don't put a blindfold on me. My friends done that once and I almost broke my ankle." Her old group of friends were trying to throw her a birthday party and that scared her by doing it. "The tour must sound better though," she smiled at him with a humorous smile. She was such a weird girl but it made her seem adorable. "How old are you?" she asked.
Chase nodded, "I know how you feel. This place gave me the creeps when I first came," he said recalling his first days at camp. It wasn't the best first few days but he got used to it. He smirked at her when she mentioned the blindfold. "Nah, you have to see how to escape." He chuckled at the thought. He nodded at her. "I knew the tour would stick out." He pulled up his hoodie as he said this. As she asked him his age he raised an eyebrow. "So, my age is important now?" After Chase said this though, a smile crossed his lips.
Lee wasn't creeped out by the place just curious. Her dad was Apollo and that meant and explained so much to her. "I'm not creeped out but then again my old friends seemed to be creepers." She thought back to the old group she was with. Piercings, tattoos, and dyed hair. They dressed in black all the time so she stuck out with them. "Tell that to the guy that I broke his arm. I was scared and took defense on myself. They tried to throw me a birthday party." This was explained to her because she was ready to fight monsters. Leena looked at him with and eye roll and pushed him a bit. "Some people don't look their age. Take me for example, I look like a fourteen year old but it because I'm short and skinny. I also need friends and I thought you'd be nice to get to know but I don't know," she said and started to walk off. A girl of mystery just a bit because all Chase knew was her name being Leena and she was a daughter of Apollo. Not much to go on but that could be enough at times.
Chase nodded at this, knowing that some of his friends weren't the best as well. Back home, there were some people tat he hung out with that today he probably wouldn't have even been with them or even got near them. Chase's eyes widen and a peculiar smile crossed his face. "You broke someone's arm? Well, impressive! Probably deserved it," he said to her. As she pushed him a bit, it didn't take him that long to sturdy himself out again. He glanced over her and shook his head. "I would have never thought of you as fourteen, more like sixteen." As she said that about him being nice and wanting to make new friends he walked quicker, putting his hand on her shoulder. "Hey," he said trying to get her to come back. He sighed for a moment. "Eighteen."
Leena laughed at him with her head shaking. The poor guy was actually her ex boyfriend so he did deserve it Noe but then he didn't. "Not at the time he didn't. He was my boyfriend but broke up with me after I done it so yea." Guys could be jerks to her and the reason her ex was with her was because he wanted plain and simple sex. The dude just didn't understand that it was all reflex to her and she was sorry. "I actually am sixteen but everyone thinks I'm not but I guess that's an advantage." She laughed again and turned to him, "who would want to hit a child?" Her walking never ceased until he put his hand on her shoulder and she looked at him with her big brown eyes. They looked like coffee which she always thought as a good thing. A smile spread to her lips that she couldn't help. "Shall you start the tour?" she asked happily since he answered. Only two years older which was better then the four years of her last boyfriend. That's why her mom wanted her to be the little girl she used to be because she wasn't like that before. The guy she dated was a jerk and she dated him for attention.
Chase shrugged at her comment, "If he broke up with you for doing that, he wasn't a good boyfriend in the first place. If it were me, I probably would have stuck around and would have made fun of you for weeks," he smirked at the thought. "Kindly of course." Chase smirked and shook his head. "Like I said, you look sixteen to me. Not younger, not older." Chase almost got lost in her eyes and you could tell because his lightning blue eyes were sparkling looking at her. "Yes, I will. But make sure not to run off without me," he teased. He took his hand off her shoulder.
Leena sighed at that with a a nod. "He wasn't the best boyfriend. He only dated me because he thought I was easy." She knew this because he yelled oy to her when she tried to see him at the hospital. "Thank you for trying to make it seem better though," she gave him a smile. She liked when people got her age right because it made her feel confident. Chase's blue eyes were amazing to her and she found that sparkle in them from where he almost got lost staring at her. She didn't know his feelings or anything really about him but that doesn't stop her from being herself. "But maybe I like to run so your just have to keep up," she teased him back pointing a finger at him. "So let's start."
Chase raised an eyebrow. "Well then, I would had broke his arm for you if I knew you then," he told her. He gave her soft smile when she thanked him. "I try my best." Chase chuckled when she told him that she would like to run. "Oh would you now? I guess I should get a head start if I have to keep up with you," he said with another laugh. He got himself into a running position. "Whenever you are ready," he said to her.
Leena laughed softly with him. She loved that he seemed rather nice and friendly. Chase was a good gut and was likeable. "I ran track in middle school," she informed him. Her legs ached from just waking so far but she hasn't ran for awhile so her leg muscles weren't used to the stretch. "You get three seconds nothing more," she smirked. Running could be said as a passion for her because it kept her focused. Once she started high school she got nervous since she was one of the only lowerclassman. Leena quit the team and started hanging out with the wrong crowd. A big mistake for her and now she knows that but it made her who she is. "One...Two...Three," she said before taking off.
Chase nodded with a lopsided grin. "Impressive," he said to her. "Oh, not 3.5 seconds then?" He remarked sarcastically with a laugh. Chase looked at her and couldn't help but start to like her. In that way. What? She was cute, friendly, and had a good sense of humor. Once she said three, he took off after her, catching up pretty quickly. A smile was plastered to his face, his chest clenching with every foot that touched the ground. It was such a great feeling.
Leena shook her head at him with a laugh. Running was a great thing for her. Her lungs didn't burn for oxygen like most would of they weren't conditioned. Once Chose caught up to her she smirked and used the endurance she had pushing herself faster. Her small size was great for an endurance run. Looking back at him she couldn't help but smile and like him back. He was sweet and knew how to take one of her lame jokes. "Come on Chase," she shot back. So far this was the most fun she's had.
((I am so sorry! I meant to reply but then I totally forgot >.<))Chase couldn't help but laugh as well. "I am trying here!" He said mid breath. It was hard to talk while running. His lungs were having a hard time catching air but the rush was thrilling. He loved it. "Almost there!" Chase yelled to her.
Leena looked back to see him catching up so she skidded to a stop. She wanted to see his reaction time but also how he would act if he accidentally hurt her. She wasn't worried about an injury or anything of the sort. Unlike him her lungs were having a hard time but her legs were since she hardly ran anymore.
