Challenge #3WTH!? Absolutely horrible and then Tamlin to stab too! But Feyre finally finds the loophole in Amarantha's curse and she frees Tamlin & all the people.
I seriously thought she was dead, I was getting really really mad lol but she of course, she's not and now she's High Fae!?!? Whaaattt!
Her & Tam are going to be super adorable :)
Rhysand's visit right at the ending has me thinking something is still up or going to happen with Feyre because before he left her he had that wide eyed stunned look and before she got to ask why, he was gone.... Hhmmmmmmmm!
Definitely excited that this is going to be a series <3
I actually can't wait for book 2. I'm still not sure who I ship! I love the relationship between Tamlin and Feyre, but Rhysand is so intriguing! The feels are real.

None of tall mentioned but few people were saying that what happened was that most likely Rhys mated with her! I ship Rhys and Feyre bc bad boys gone good in stories is seriously the best thing ever

IF THAT WAS THE MATING BOND I WILL LEGIT DIE.
I liked the way it wrapped up and that this story is complete, curse broken and all that. I definitely enjoyed this last 10-20% more than the rest of the book. I think the story was stronger at the end. I love Rhysand.... so much.
I'm still not sure how I feel about her being High Fae, but that obviously had to happen. I'm glad that transformation didn't happen too late in the series (like Twilight). I hope this will make her a much stronger character, after all she has been through, and now when she runs face first into danger, I won't roll my eyes as much.
Also, I totally guessed the riddle's answer was love so why did it take her so long?!?
Looking forward to the next book very much. This book overall was between a 2-2.5 stars for me because of how many issues I had with the majority of the story, but I do like where it is going and the characters we will be seeing in future books.
Rhysand.
Looking forward to discussing more in the liveshow!!!

What!? I am giddy over there not being some mildly exploitative cliffhanger at the end.
Was not expecting her to die. And then be brought back as high fae. Wow. I don't know if I like it or not... I mean I like it, but it feels a bit easy?
Stupid excited for the second book!
I think Sarah mentioned somewhere that every book is going to have elements from different stories. According to her Pinterest board there's lots of Hades and Persephone pins AKA YOU KNOW FEYRE AND RHYSAND END GAME. Who knows if he did mate her but now that I think about t what else could it be. Because if I recall didn't they mention earlier in the book that a high fae can only mate with another high fae?? And THEN THAT WAS THEIR FIRST ENCOUNTER SINCE SHE TURNED SO IDK OMG #FEYSAND OMG
I can definitly see the Hades/Persephone thing between Rhys and Feyre. I had to give it a 2.5/5. There were just soo many times when I just wanted to chuck this book at the wall.
Also....I was reminded very much of the whole, 'painted body thing' from the Mummy movies, druing the flash back of Anck su Namun all painted gold and the pharaoh knew she had been touched by the disturbed paint.
I do look forward to the live show!!!
I think this last bit of the book made up for some of the shortcomings it had throughout. The final task was super intense and for a minute there I was expecting to see Feyre's sister. Glad she didn't have to go through the that. Overall I think if it wasn't for the second half of the book I may not have continued with the series. But I'm excited to see what other things happen in the next book. And who the new villain will be. I mean, come on, there always has to be a villain :)
*shameless self-promotion*I had a few ideas on who would be great to cast for ACOTAR, so I made a video about it. What do you think?
https://youtu.be/cP9G1sWuX7Y
DID anyone else think that when the people for the last task walked in it was gonna be Alis and her two nephews ? When she was like two boy and one girl. I almost pooped my pants bc I didn't want it to be them :(. The last task left me just extremely loving Feyre bc she's really smart regardless of her illiteracy. I never would've caught that lol. And with the riddle am I the only one that didn't think it was love? Like at first I thought the answer was Amarantha herself bc it fit the description pretty well. But then it made sense lol
I didn't think it was Alis and her nephews, I actually thought that one or two of them might have been her family. But I think I prefer the way it turned out ^_^
I thought the riddle was love pretty much right from the beginning. I was pretty annoyed it took her so long to figure out and she just didn't seem to care about the riddle, I would have been obsessing over it day in and day out. I also worried that the one or all of the last three would be someone she cared about, I didn't really expect it to be Tamlin due to Amarantha's obsession with him so I kind of liked that twist. I do wonder if there will be any kind of repercussions for Feyre from the families of the two sacrifices.

Okay so, I have a thought of thoughts!
I want to save as much as I can for the liveshow where I can explain my feelings properly but basically I don't ship Tamlin and Feyre at all, I'm all about Rhysand - what a surprise.
When the people came out in the hoods at the end I thought one of them was going to be one of her sisters, or Alis, I never thought it would be Tamlin. I guessed the riddle too, and it annoyed me that it took her so long to figure it out, it was so obvious.
I wasn't expecting her to become Fae, I don't know how I feel about that but I'm interested to see where it goes.

I'm so conflicted with my emotions about this book. I expected to love it all, I loved the ending.
Even though I ship Rhysand and Feyre (because bad boys are the best) when Tamlin's hood was lifted and Feyre realised she would have to kill him, I was close it tears. That was INTENSE. The part about 'listening', that Alis had said to Feyre, had been playing on my mind and I was waiting for it to be introduced, I was quite impressed when it did.
As far as Feyre becoming High Fae, I'm not really digging it. I don't know whether it's because it was introduced too early or that I preferred her as a human (which set her apart) but it's just not gelling with me.
The thing I am most intrigued by is Rhys' reaction to her (if it is the mating thing then OMG), I can't wait to see their dynamic in the next book!
I'm pretty sure that Feyre's guilt about killing those fae will be focused on heavily in the next book, I'm dreading it. I honestly can't be asked to put up with 200 pages of grief for something that was essential for a MUCH bigger greater good.
Overall probably 3 stars, maybe. I'm honestly SO VERY CONFLICTED!
Hahahha when you talked about the grief part it reminded me of the ToG books hahhaI'm glad I'm not the only person that's in love with the bad boys like cmon they're the best
