(you come up with the weirdest things to call me lol)Nikki stopped at the doors of the boys dormitory and looked back to see the two students were keeping up fairly well, even if the girl did look like an idiot in a short skirt and barely there shirt. "This way," She said in a brisk tone and led the way into the boys building.
Throughout the walk Jenson quietly observed his first two personal encounters. The teacher was quite beautiful and seemed to know her business despite a slight distracted air. The girl on the other hand was... interesting. Obviously a snob, but she'd thanked him for carrying her luggage. She was also ludicrously dressed for the weather here. Which called to mind his well drilled manners. Slipping his jacket off he silently offered it to her with one hand while looking straight ahead. For reasons the rest of humanity would be shocked to learn the cold... didn't bother him much at all.
Nikki led them down a hall, boys littered the hall, leaning in doorways, against walls, some sat on the floor with headphones on, Nikki ignored them all, her mind on her job to get the students to their assigned spaces so she could get back to helping the teachers out. She glanced once again over her shoulder just to look at the beautifully masked boy... intriguing to be sure. Saif rose a brow when Jenson offered her his jacket, she supposed she hadn't hidden how cold she was very well, though she'd tried. She took the jacket and chattered out a 'thank you' to him as she slipped it on. The warmth of the jacket helped almost instantly, his smell clung to the material and she had to resist putting her nose to the fabric to smell it for longer, that would look weird and probably make the situation more awkward than it already seemed to be.
Jenson was surprised no one had commented on his mask yet. That was generally the first thing people did. The girl took his jacket and managed another thank you and his opinion of her rose slightly from just "snob".They were definitely in a boys dorm now, boys were all about. Some wore interested looks on their faces. Some wore challenging ones. Jenson was not used to being the center of attention, however briefly and he felt a subsonic growl rumbling around in his chest every time he saw a challenging look. He couldnt help it, it was part of his.... nature.
Nikki stopped at a dorm and unlocked it, then gave the key over to Jenson, "This is now yours. I hope you enjoy your space, and your roommate. He isn't much of a social guy but I'm sure you can get to know him if you really want to. Saif uh well we'll get you a room, let me make a call."Saif started giving boys that glared Jenson's way dirty looks, why were they looking at him like that. She suddenly felt a protectiveness for him, she ignored it though, that wasn't her. She fought the urge to slap a guy that was way bigger than either of them that was sneering at Jenson. Instead of slapping him she got closer to Jenson and gave him a flirty smile, that made a few of the guys' jaws drop and give Jenson a more approving glance. She rose a brow at Nikki, so now she was going to have to wait for a room? Wonderful.
The girl gave him a smile with a bit of promise in it and immediately he noticed some of the boys regard him thoughtfully rather than as a threat. His own instinctual reaction abated somewhat too. Which was... disconcerting. According to family histories the only thing that could influence his... special instincts were himself, a superior member of his own family or... his Mate. Capital M. Well... it didn't really STOP, it just quieted down some... it doesn't mean anything. he thought a little worriedly.
Accepting the key from Nikki we turned to Saif and bowed from the waist in gentlemanly fashion.
"It was a pleasure to have met you Miss," he said and turned to nod at Nikki "you as well ma'am." then he collected his coat from Saif and disappeared into his room to meet his new room mate.
Saif watched as her only acquaintance disappeared into the dorm, well that was different. She waited while Nikki got her a room.Wash was sitting at the island in the kitchen of the dorm, he was still getting used to the extravagance of the dormitories at the Academy. In his opinion it was a bit excessive and the money could be put to much better use, but who ever listened to him? Wash pushed his spoon around in the yogurt that was supposed to his meal, he was trying to make sure he stayed at the right weight for gymnastics, he had gained a few pounds so he was now on a diet. Joy. He glanced up when he heard the door open, well it looked like he had a new roommate. What was with the mask? He rose a brow, the first thing that came to mind was Phantom of the Opera.
"Hey," He said once the other boy had closed the door to their dormitory.
"Hello. My name is Jenson." Jenson said in a cool voice."I understand we are to share a ro-..." his voice trailed off as he took in the extravagant surroundings. "I was going to say 'room' but upon closer examination that seems... inadequate. We are to share this living space?"
Wash got up off the stool abandoning his food, "I'm Wash, short for Washington. Uh yeah its a bit.......... over board in my opinion, but hey I'm not used to this kind of living. Nice to meet you Jenson," Wash held out his hand and gave his roommate a friendly smile.
Jenson paused a moment before extending his own hand. Given his walk through the halls he was more than a bit surprised by the friendly welcome. Nor had Wash asked about his mask. This is a decidedly odd academy... he thought.
((Before I continue, what does the room look like? Exactly. Is it just one big room? Or are their seperate rooms with a central living space? Pictures somewhere???))
((posted a link up top, yep separate living quarters))Wash withdrew his hand after a hearty shake, "So not to be rude but is this mask a permanent thing? Not trying to offend you, just checking to see if I should get used to you looking like this or if its like a trend where your from. I'm from Africa so I don't know much about the styles here."
"You'll never see me without it. If you did I'm afraid I'd have to kill you." Jenson said deadpan. He stared at Wash for a moment to make sure he understood how serious he was then in a lighter voice said...
"Which room is mine? Top of the stairs?"
"I understand, just wanted to be sure so I wouldn't have to bug you about it later, I'm sure you get questioned often and that has to irritating,' Wash replied, he respected him. Wash was a laid back guy so he didn't care either way, all he cared about was training to get into the Olympics. "Yeah I took the ground floor room, we can switch if you don't like the top."
"I prefer the second floor, thank you." and without further word he went up to his room and started unpacking.First thing was the family idol. What appeared to be a lizard of some kind, cast in bronze, vaguely resembling a dragon. It was not a dragon however. He set that directly over the bed then sat cross legged to bless its new home.
The Initiate blesses this dwelling upon the legacy of The One That Came Before. Guard my sleep as I guard your blood. Guard its sanctity as I guard your secret. Bless my clan as I in turn bless your gifts to it. Ritual complete he started unpacking his clothing.
Last came his weapons and some very special chains, complete with shackles. He secured the chains to wall bracket his father has promised would be installed in his room then forgot about them. Next were his weapons. The blades that had been set into his hands at birth and had rarely left his side since.

It was Tradition to name them. Flick and Part were their names and he proceeded to give them a quick sharpening then oiled them and returned them to their sheathes, which he then strapped to either thigh. He wasn't sure about the school policy about wearing weapons on campus but he was sure he'd find out.
He hadn't eaten in four hours and his stomach grumbled loudly. He assumed the fridge was stocked by campus staff, given the extravagance of the place so he headed back downstairs.
Wash rose a brow and watched his roommate disappear, he went back to his yogurt and finished it off, then threw the container away. He made his way back to the fridge to grab a water, then went to sit on the couch and watch some tv as he relaxed.
Wash was watching TV looking relaxed and Jenson left him to it as he headed for the fridge. In the freezer he found some ground beef. Out of the fridge he snagged 4 onions, a head of celery, 4 cloves of garlic and 10 eggs. A brief search of the cupoards rewarded with with an extremely large metal pot. Taking the butter out of the fridge he dumped about half its contents into the pot and turned the stove on. Soon it was melted and simmering and he tossed in 3 lbs of beef, the chopped up celery, onion and garlic and then mixed it all. When the onions and garlic were browned up he tossed in the eggs and mixed it all together again adding spices as he went. Soon he had a giant mass of protein nicely cooked and on a large platter he'd found. He took it up to his room to eat. If his new room mate thought any of that was odd... he didn't say.
Wash didn't pay attention when Jenson first made his way down , then he smelled something delicious cooking, his stomach grumbled at him. Wash close his eyes and tries not to breathe in through his nose, he was on a diet he was in a diet , 140 lb was his goal. He'd gone up to 146. When Jenson walked by without offering any Wash felt relief, at least he wouldn't have to explain why he couldn't accept any food.
Back in his room Jenson devoured his meal in record time and heaved a large sigh.Well now what? I didn't get a class schedule or anything.
He headed back downstairs and walked up to Wash.
"Do you know what I am supposed to do now? How do I find out what my classes are, is there paperwork to fill out, curfew, restricted areas? Is there someplace I can go to find out all the rules in this academy?" he asked him.
Wash blinked as his roommate shot questions at him rapidly, "Rules you can go see the head master. seriously he loves explaining them. curfew, not sure I never stay out late. Class Schedule you can pick out in Great hall," he hoped he answered everything.
"Thank you." Jenson said formally after asking directions. He decided going to introduce himself to the headmaster would be the proper thing to do first. So off he went.
