Bex has always had this long, hard, loving, passion for baking. Since she could walk she's been at her mothers side asking questions when she was in the kitchen, begging to help with this or that, dipping her fingers into some batter or another, and learning how to make delicate swirls with an icing tip. As she grew she was the one that took over the kitchen, and was making all of the delicate pastries for parties and birthdays. Bex's mom fell ill and really couldn't do much, so her passion grew as she tried to distract herself, eventually she went on to Cordon Bleu and became an official Pastry Chef, and even has her own business in Paris, in the bottom of Jack McCloud's hotel there. Family time is something that Bex holds dear, she's very sentimental and naustaligic. She loves to reminisce on the past and of old things. She's a sucker for movies that will make you bawl, and loves to talk her daughter Theresa into sitting through Jane Austin movies with a box of tissues between them. Theresa always pretends to not be interested but seems as engrossed in the movies as her mother by the end of it all. She also loves to spend time with her heart stopping husband, James Silus. He is her 007 and she would literally do anything for the man, she spoils him as much as he spoils her, they have a sickeningly wonderful relationship that all of their friends are jealous of. Bex is intelligent, quirky, and funny. She has a good sense of humor, but can be a real brat if people are disrespectful to her or her friends. She has come to have a big heart when it comes to children after having her own daughter that she loves dearly. She's pregnant once again, quite a few years later and cannot wait to experience the trials of raising a child all over again. Her husband keeps her grounded at times when her French temper gets the better of her.

|*・°☆Childhood☆°・*|
Bex grew up in Paris, France with her mother and grandfather. Her father wasn't there for her birth because he'd died tragically from a train accident when her mother was only six months along. And so Bex's mother moved in with her own father and waited for little Bex to arrive. When she did it was a joyous occasion for the woman, not so much for the grandfather. He just saw Bex as another person that would depend on him and his money and that did nothing but irritate the older gentleman. Bex's mother Clare, loved her little girl to pieces, she loved every single thing about her. She would carefully brush Bex's brown curls every night before bed when Bex was a toddler, and then read her a story of some adventure that would always include a damsel in distress and a prince that would come along to save her. Bex's imagination was magnificent. She thought up whole fairy tales of her own, and her mother and her would act them out for guests at parties. Life was pretty amazing for the little girl until she turned eight, that was when her mother started to fall ill. She was only a little sick then, but she still had certain restrictions put on her, and that was when her grandfather started pushing Bex to do other things instead of being at home after school. He encouraged her to involve herself with committees and sports, and girl sleepovers, things to keep her away from her mother so that Clare wouldn't stress over her daughter. Bex did her best to do her mother and grandfather proud, climbing to the top of the social status even at a young age. She was the one the girls went to about tea parties, secrets, fashion, food even. Bex threw herself into her school and activities, coming out on top academically and socially wherever she could, hoping to make her family proud.
Bex started to resent her grandfather at age 11, when she tried to see her mother and he literally locked her in her room for an entire weekend. He would let the maids bring in food and drink and that was all, once Monday came he sent her to school with a warning to not try defying him again. Of course she continued to try, and he would find different ways to punish her for it. Even threatened to send her to a nunnery if she didn't start to listen to him, by 13 she'd learned her lesson and did her best to stay in the old mans good graces, afraid of what he might do to her. He not only dictated what she should do, but what she was to wear, eat, and who she was to be friends with. He constantly was on her about her weight, saying that all of her pastries were going to make her into an obese American that no one would want to be around if she didn't watch out, thus started her battle with her eating disorder. Her grandfather made her feel that she was too big and that everyone stared at her because of how fat she was so Bex became paranoid that people were talking about her weight and the amount of food that she ate. So she started working out a lot, and skipping meals, the weight started sliding off, her grandfather seemed to be more approving as got skinnier and skinnier. Time flew by and soon she was 15 and being sent to Russia to some boarding school, away from her sick mother, and cruel grandfather, it was all rather sudden and scary.
It was actually life changing, and a good thing for her though. Because she met people that would be there for her the rest of her life, though she didn't know it at the time. Her first real friend was Celeste, they were roommates and got along very well. Perhaps because they were a little different, but also a little alike. The two girls clicked, and became attached at the hip, neither one willing to go much of anywhere without the other. The pair rose quickly in social status, and were soon the two most popular girls in school, they even had their own posse, whom Celeste affectionately called 'minions'. Bex still had a lot of problems with her eating disorder, anxiety, and depression, but she hid it well. Plus Celeste would get onto her when she wasn't eating, or would tell her to chill out if she was over exercising. Her friend picked up on her moods and would make girls nights just to boost her mood, Bex would do the same for Celeste, they took care of each other. They were family. Then entered two unlikely men into their lives, James and Jack. One from England, one from Ireland, neither expected. Jack was all into Celeste from day one, she was fiery and argued with him, so apparently he was attracted to that. James was kind of shy, and very innocent, but also a gentleman and sweet, Bex fell for him right away. She couldn't help it, they took some time to get to know each other, unlike their friends *cough*, then began dating. James became very protective of her, and was her rock when her mom died later on.
|*・°☆Young adult/Adulthood☆°・*|
Celeste ended up getting pregnant in school, Bex's best friend, pregnant. Celeste freaked out, Bex freaked out, everyone freaked out. Jack even almost left, Celeste broke up with him for a few days, but they got back together. It was a mess, but eventually the couple worked out, found a house, moved out, Jack continued going to school at the Russian boarding school while Celeste continued her education online. Bex and James continued their education at the boarding school, then went off to college together. James never left her side. They married shortly before college, and have been together ever since. After college they went ahead and returned to where it all started, where their friends also resided. Jaden and Amber, another couple they were close to, were there also, as well as a few others. All of their children would grow up together, and become even more close than they were in school, it was amazing to watch. James and Bex have always been the more easy going couple of the group, the ones to try and douse the fires. They now have a daughter, Theresa who is a teenager, and a newborn son, Logan. Bex owns a pastry shop in Paris, its actually in Jack's hotel, she manages it from afar while her husband James teaches at the very school they graduated from. She also has a catering business she runs from her home. She misses her best friend Celeste very much, and has often dreamed of moving to Paris to be closer to her and the kids.

Appearance
(view spoiler)♛Celeste has long hair that's a mixture of colors. She's never dyed her hair, but has natural highlights/lowlights that come together in an interesting shade of blonde. Her hair is naturally wavy, and since she usually just blow dries it in the morning, it's commonly seen natural. She may curl it once in a while, it depends on the day. Celeste's skin is naturally tinted with a golden hue, she has a tawny skin tone that tans without much effort from Celeste herself. A two mile run on a sunny day can give her a beautiful tan. Celeste's eyes are a vivid blue color that she passed on to two of her children. Her eyes have always been the direct giveaways to whatever she's thinking. If she's excited and happy it shows, which is lovely. ♛
TraitsMore than anything in her life, Celeste protects her children and cares for them everyday. She really is a great mother, despite how immature she was when she actually have birth to her first child. Celeste is dedicated to her kids and puts their needs above her own, making sure they're happy and healthy to the best of her ability. She loves fashion as well, something that's never left her from her teenage years. She loves outfits and fabrics, the way putting pieces of clothing together can create such an impact, she just loves it. Puppies have always been her weakness, really anything small and furry that she can cuddle has the same effect. After spending so many years with her husband, Jack, Celeste has actually come to like watching sporting events on the TV or in person, she gets really into it. She'll never forget her roots though, she forces everyone to watch American Football with her when it's Super Bowl season. Celeste loves to have quiet time with her family away from all the loudness, and picnics seem to be a great way to accomplish that. Jack still hates the humidity on his hair but he gets over it for his wife. Paris has always been a safe place for Celeste, since she spent many summers there with her grandmother as a child. Shopping with her kids has always been one of Celeste favorite things, she likes to dress them up in trendy clothes, even though half the time they refuse to. It fuses two things she loves; style and her kids. Celeste's husband, Jack will always be her one and only. She doesn't know how she spent 16 years without having him in her life. He's her absolute rock and she'll love him / pick on him until the very end. Celeste has a huge temper, and it generally blows up when someone that she loves is hurt. Celeste has a lot of people to care for; her husband, family, friends, and her friends kids (they're like nieces/nephews to her). Not to mention that as the guidance counselor at school, she cares for every student there. She becomes furious when they're hurt, because she seems them all as perfect. Abuse of any kind as always sent shivers down Celeste's spine. She hates to see parents slapping their children, kids crying because of a spanking, grown adults treating each other like toys. She can't stand it, and has made sure none of her children have ever been hit by she or Jack, unless it was a boxing lesson that's different. Losing her temper has always been a problem for Celeste, and she hates having it happen. She hates losing control of her actions and blowing up at people, and would rather sass little brats or annoying parents instead of scream at them. She honestly just thinks beets are disgusting... Celeste was judged a lot as a 17 year old mom, and has sympathy for anyone that's judged wrongly. She's of course a bit of a hypocrite, since she judges people like it's her job. But she usually isn't rude to them without good reason. She swears if she sees one more sparkly vampire, after Olivia's Twilight phase, she'll blow up.

"In life, as in art, some endings are bittersweet. Especially when it comes to love. Sometimes fate throws two lovers together only to rip them apart. Sometimes the hero finally makes the right choice but the timing is all wrong. And, as they say, timing is everything. Looks like this story might just have a second act. Let's hope it's not a tragedy."

History
Celeste was born Celeste Callaghan, to parents Brian and Anne Callaghan. The two were successful workers at the CIA, and all in all didn't have time for a baby. They were always working at the office or going out on missions, neither place was safe enough to bring a newborn baby along. So Celeste was juggled between her paternal grandparents and home for the first few years of her life. Once she was old enough for daycare, that's where she went. To say that Celeste liked daycare, and being around other children, would be an understatement. She loved to boss the other kids around, even as a young one. She was a bit of a daddy's girl, even though she barely saw him. Her summers were always spent with her maternal grandmother in Paris, France. Celeste grandma was her favorite person in the world, she loved her so much. Staying at her home in Paris was the highlight of he little girls year, she wouldn't trade it for anything.
Celeste was always spoiled as a kid, but when she got to being a teenager, she really could get whatever she wanted. All she had to do was manipulate. Which, surprisingly, Celeste was extremely good at. She just had to smile the right way, or use the right tone of voice, and people would do exactly what she wanted them to. It was easy as pie, really. She had it perfected by age 15. Also by age 15, Celeste had a reputation at the private school she went to in DC. She was the party girl, the wild one that would do anything to get out of school, and was up for anything anytime. Celeste got in a lot of trouble in school, but she always ended up without too much punishment, since she was the daughter of such influential people. She would skip classes, go out with older guys, the works. She just loved to be wild. And in DC, it wasn't hard to do. Celeste was the so called queen of the private school, she was the most powerful girl there. If Celeste didn't like you, no one did. And so she got whatever she wanted. That it, until she went a little but too far. In the middle of her sophomore year, Celeste made a huge mistake. She was pissed at her father for grounding her, and tried to get back at him by sneaking out and meeting up with 23 year old guys and their friends. She knew it was dumb, and she didn't even like them that much, but she never thought it would get too far. In reality she and these people were caught drinking and smoking pot down in an abandoned building, so of course, they were arrested. Her father got her out of the charges, but he was livid, and decided that boarding school would be the best choice for his unruly daughter.
Part II
So she was sent to Capitol academy. Celeste didn't really like the school that much at first, but she fell into her role of queen easily. The people treated her the same way as at her old school, so she acted the same way, with the same amount of trouble. But boarding school kids knew how to hide it, and so Celeste learned to be sneaker about the trouble she got into. She made a best friend her first year, a French girl named Bex, and the two rules the school together, making sure that everyone knew the sacred rule "tights are not pants". She hated the summer after her first year, since she spent it desperately missing bex and her other minions from school. She was delighted to go back. And when she did, she found more than just her friends, she found Jack McCloud. Jack was rude, obnoxious, and a complete womanizer. But when Celeste spoke to him he seemed to soften, his insults turned to teasing and his glares turned to glanced of appreciation. The two hit it off and found themselves drawn to each other by some unseen force, against their will at first. But once they really got to know each other, there was no question. Celeste and Jack were in love, the real deal love that people sit up late at night writing poetry about. The kind of love that makes you physically hurt when you're away from each other too long. And so the two dated on and off during the school year, and right around finals, Celeste found out that she was pregnant. She was terrified at first, crying and sobbing to Bex that Jack was going to leave her, that there was no way he could want her to fuck up his life like that. But she knew she couldn't have an abortion, Celeste would never be able to live with herself. Bex forced her to go tell jack the news, though. Instead of the slammed door she had expected, Celeste got a warm hug from jack. He told her that everything would be okay, and that he would never leave her, that she was too good for him to even have, pregnant or not. And from then in Celeste and Jack haven't separated. The two had some really hard times when going through Celeste's first pregnancy. Jack had been planning on proposing to her when she told him the news, so the two got married the day before their first daughter, Olivia was born. Jack went back to school at Capitol academy, while Celeste stayed at a house they purchased about ten minutes away from the school, where she took care of Olivia and went to school online. She just couldn't bear the thought of Olivia being raised by someone that wasn't her parent, and neither could Jack. Celeste went to a local college and switched off class times with jack, and got her degree in psychology as well as her masters, so she could be a guidance counselor. She figured t would be a good path for her, since she had been through plenty in high school and could give stellar advice.
Three years after Olivia was born, Celeste found that she was pregnant again, this time it was a lot less stressful. She knew what being a mother entailed and to be honest she loved it, so she was overjoyed, as was jack. Celeste couldn't stop smiling when she found out she was having twins, a boy and a girl. She barely even noticed how paper white jack had turned that day in the doctors office.
Celeste's labor was long and intense, but the babies were born healthy and beautiful. Aden and Ava were actually much calmer babies than Olivia had been. They cried when they needed something, not every two seconds. Raising the twins was a cake walk compared to Olivia, probably because Celeste knew more what she was doing. Olivia was a little angry when the twins were born, she didn't like the attention being taken off of her, but she got over herself later on.
Celeste went to work as one of the guidance counselors at Capitol academy, taking care of her kids and taking them out to do fun things whenever she could. Jack worked at the school as well, doing administrative things like finances, and also owned two hotels, one in Dublin and one in Paris, the families favorite city. Celeste loved to visit with jack and the kids. The kids loved the lights and sounds and the people speaking French. Jack and Celeste loved the calmness of the city, the food, and how they could forget all their problems and just enjoy their family together. Celeste always felt a special bond with her only son, Aden. She seemed to understand the boy better than jack did. And while she had a good relationship with her two daughters, they had always been closer with Jack, textbook daddies girls. Aden was always her little boy though, they'd always been close.
When Olivia was 13 and the twins were 10, Celeste started up a business venture. She figured she wanted to do something outside of the academy too, and she had plenty of time with her job. The only thing she loved more than kids was fashion, and so she opened up a boutique in town, called "Ava's" after her youngest daughter. Her business bloomed, since Celeste sold quirky, chic fashions and accessories at her store, and the opportunity came to open up a shop in jacks Paris hotel. She of course named that one "Olivia's", and sold the same things as in her hometown store.
Her kids are growing up now, and it's a bit hard for celeste. She cried for half an hour when Olivia graduated high school just a week or so ago. Aden is trying to be more of a tough guy, and Ava is just trying to be a good girl and impress everyone. She's terrified that all her kids are just going to up and leave one day, but she knows she'll always have her husband. She still loves him just as much as she did when they got married, and she thinks that's special. 20 years of being with just each other and they're still going strong. That's gotta mean something, right?
The family has just decided to make a huge move. Celeste and Jack quit their jobs at the academy and moved to Paris, where they own the Hotel de Liv. She's going to work full time at the hotel now, as is Jack, while opening up a new boutique in Paris, as well as managing the boutiques in Russia from their new home. Her children are to attend the American School of Paris, and they aren't perky about it, but she knows they'll get over it.

History
Ava McCloud was born the third child of Jack and Celeste McCloud. The couple was 20 years old when Ava and her twin brother, Aden. The two were born in Dublin, Ireland. Celeste had a child before the twins, Olivia, when she was 17. Olivia was a fairly easy labor in the Dublin hospital, and when Celeste was pregnant for the second time, she knew she wanted to be at the same hospital. Her labor was long, but the doctors and Jack helped her pull through it, and finally, two beautiful, screaming babies were born. Celeste was overjoyed as was jack, and the two babies were given Classic Irish names. Their three year old, Olivia, wasn't as happy at the time. She liked being the center of attention with her parents, and two new babies in the house took that away from her a bit. Ava thought was loved and spoiled from the moment she was born. Not only did she have her devoted parents. She had her mothers parents, her parents friends, giving her tons of "Aunties" and "Uncs" to baby sit or take she and Aden to the zoo. She was always taken care of, she was never left on her own. Ava was never explicitly bossy with other children, she would just do and say things that would make them give her her way. She manipulated people without even knowing it. She didn't mean to it was just how she was. Ava always had plenty of friends, even as a kid. She was popular and kids always wanted people to like her. Ava grew up with her two siblings, traveling he world with her parents. Her father had a couple hotels in Paris and Dublin, and the McClouds traveled frequently anyway, Ava had seen all of Europe by age 10. She was happy, with her parents working at a local private school, going to grade school and having sleepovers on Fridays. She had it really good. Her da got Aden into sports early, in attempt to tech him manly things. And while Aden was interested, Ava didn't like that she wasn't invited to play, so she forced her way in. It started with touch football games. Ava would just run right into her Da while he had the football, attempting to tackle him and wrestle him to the ground. After repetition of this, Jack finally started to invite her to play, and Ava kicked ass. She loved it, and Jack started to get her into other sports like soccer, field hockey and softball. Ava loved it, and started to practice 24/7. Her parents found that she was a really athletic kid.
As Ava grew up, she started to realize the effect she had on people. Once she and Aden got to the high school in town, Capitol academy, she started to see that everyone knew her name. They all knew who she was and even if they didn't like her, they pretended to. Ava found it silly, to be honest. She liked honesty better than fake kindness. So she was just herself. Honest, loyal Ava. She had a strong bond with her father by then and he started to teach her a bit if boxing to defend herself. She didn't think it was weird to be friends with your parents, but other kids did. She thought it was nice and peaceful, how things should be. She made a ton of friends even with her brutally honest nature. She told one girl her skirt was ugly and then? They were friends. Who would've thought. Ava saw the power and respect she got for being honest, so she kept going at it. And just like magic, the girls in her grade started to try and impress her. There were a few girls that even followed her around, Alyssa and Jamie. They were her best friends, on her sports teams, and she loved them. They were the it clique of their year, and really everyone loved them. Because Ava treated everyone the same way no matter what.
She always focused on her sports in high school, ditching academics and doing what she could, but not acceding. She got around Bs and Cs like her mother had, and didn't worry about it. She knew she could probably do better, and Da always got mad when report cards rolled around, but Ava wasn't going to break her back to be something she obviously wasn't. So she stuck to sports and kicked bum. She won championships with her teams, became team captain, MVP, the works. She's dedicated, talented, and smart on the court/field. She and her brother have always been close, she knows she can tell Aden anything, bury she thinks he resents her somehow. She tries her hardest to be only his friend, and honestly she's damn good at it. She doesn't get involved in her parents fights with Aden, or Olivia's. He knows that whatever it is, Ava's there for him.
With the recent news of the move to Paris, Ava is furious. She has a life in Russia, with friends and sports teams and even dream colleges, and now her parents are just uprooting them, and she can't help but being vaguely pissed off.

Olivia is a very down to earth girl. Yes, her family is very rich, but she honestly doesn't care about possessions. She is very blunt and honest, just like her parents. She has her fathers temper, and finds herself wanting to hit people just because they looked at her wrong (she usually doesn't though). She's fiercely loyal, and hates fake people. She has one friend that she's known forever, Han, and they've been best friends since they were kids. Her mothers best friend Oliver is basically like her uncle, Uncle Ollie. She loves him dearly, and looks up to him as one of her role models. She loves to pick on her father when he's stuck up and annoying. Olivia is in love with photography. She has an amazing talent for it. She also likes music.
Olivia is very much a primadonna, since she grew up being pampered and cared for on all fronts. Her parents loved her very much, and so she expects everyone to love her. She prides herself on being more of a hipster. Yea, she loved attention, but Olivia is definitely more of an artsy kind of girl. She loves to sing, play guitar, pain, and take pictures. Starbucks is her usual hangout, and her Instagram account is more like a limb than a pastime. She's loving of those around her in her own way, making sure they know she cares by picking on them and calling them losers. They understand, though. And if they don't, then, they're not worth the girls time. She knows that there are at least 500 people that hate her guts, but it honestly doesn't matter to Olivia. She'd rather be herself. And that, more than any of her other siblings, is something that she prides herself on.

History
Olivia McCloud was born in a rush of late night car rides and yelling doctors. Her birth hadn't been planned, in fact both of her parents were only 17 years old when she arrived on the earth. The early morning was warm and balmy in Dublin, only hours after Celeste and Jack had tied the knot. The newly weds tore out of their hotel room when Celeste's water broke at 4 am. Her labor was fairly quick, though, and Olivia started to cry the second she reached the doctors arms. She was a perfectly healthy baby, tinted pink with bright blue eyes just like her mothers. Her parents spent the first few hours of Olivia's life cooing over her in the recovery room, and trying to learn as much as they could from the doctors before they were on their own in their newly bought home in Ireland, right near where they went to school. Their first night alone with Olivia was a hard thing to pull off, since she cried every two hours and neither of the young couple liked having their sleep interrupted. They got used to it quickly, though, since Olivia didn't quiet down anytime soon. Once she stopped crying, her personality started to form in her childhood. It was clear that they way they'd spoiled had gone to the little things head. She was bossy with other kids, and loved to have all the attention in the room. She was loud and vibrant even then.
She wasn't exactly happy when her mothers stomach started to swell again. A wee babe, her da would say, as if that was a good thing. It only meant that Olivia wouldn't have as much attention, how was that a good thing?? It just meant there would be a little screaming baby disrupting her day, and taking away all of her attention for itself. When Olivia learned that she wasn't getting one, but TWO siblings, she just about died. She cried so hard, muttering about how no one would love her anymore, that her father had to pick her up and hug her tight, telling her that if course they would all still love her. The tears stopped, but little Olivia still wasn't sure. She was just three years old, and when the twins were born, she definitely felt snubbed. Her parents were tired all the time again, and the babies didn't even cry as much as she had. Aden and Ava, they were called, and her mum and da were always doting on them. Olivia used to glare at their cribs, but eventually she got over it, especially by the time she went to school for the first time. Kindergarten was an exciting time for Olivia, who thought she could get attention there, too. And she was right. She was admired by some if the kids, hated by others. But everyone knew who 5 year old Olivia was.
By the time she was in middle school, Olivia had two very good friends, with a splash of other people that she liked enough to call friends. She was starting to realize by then that everyone just liked one part of her, not the whole package. But not Han and Theresa. They were a year younger than her, but hey she still liked them a lot. They understood that Olivia was crazy, the ring leader of the three, and they liked it. Olivia was already excelling in art and music classes, and her after school dance classes her doing her a world of good. She had plenty if things to fill her time, and her parents were just a bit terrified of what she would do if free time started to creep into her schedule. Their daughter was just such a free spirit, unlike their other two children, that they weren't sure what to do about her. But for the mean time, dance and art was keeping her plenty busy.
High school is when Olivia started to get a little wild. She entered Capitol academy a year before theresa and Han, so she was on her own for a bit. And that meant that she needed to make friends. The freshman was taken under the wing of a group of senior art students, since they thought she had spunk and style, and well, they didn't just do art. They went to parties together, and smoked weed and drank alcohol every now and then. As illegal as it was, Olivia liked her new friends a lot, so she tried it some. She wasn't a big fan if the weed, but the drinks were nice and the parties seemed to be where she belonged. The music was loud, the people were fun, and the dancing was good. Olivia was a regular at the weekend parties, and boyfriends started to be things in her life. Her da didn't like it one bit, and threatened them all with a gun, but most of them weren't scared, and they usually had two piercings and at least one tattoo. Olivia had become the perfect little punk princess. By the time Han and Theresa got to her school, she was a different person. She still loved all the same classes, was still artsy and sassy, her pass times had just changed a bit. Theresa jumped into the party scene with Olivia, but Han was a little more reluctant. Livie was fine with that, and had her two lives. During school she hung out with the artsy kids, then when she went home it was more time for being friends with Theresa and Han. And every weekend was party time, aka "sleepovers at Theresa's". Her da suspected that something was up, but wanted Olivia to think he trusted her, so he didn't pry.
In her senior year, Olivia was feeling terribly rejected at all angles. She's hooked up with her friend Han at the start of the year, and that ended terribly. The two were just distant from each other after that, and when Theresa started to date Han, there went Olivia's other best friend. Alone at school. When she went home, all the focus was on the twins, who were both doing insanely well in sports and things. Overshadowed at home. And to top it all off, some girl named BB was spreading rumors about her being pregnant around the school. She was so unhappy with her life, she just wanted to escape for a little while. She went to some party in an old warehouse all alone, and while dancing, started to get harassed by some guy. She just told him off, which Olivia always did well, and went outside for some air. When she did, the kid followed her and beat the crap out of her, breaking her bones and fracturing ribs and her spine. It was bad, and when she was brought to the hospital, she was in the surgery room for hours. Her family was terrified for her, but she came out alright. It took a lot of days in the hospital bed, a lot of medication, and a lot of love, but Olivia was okay in the end. But the effects if her time in the hospital were more than just medical. Olivia realized in the hospital that she was living for all the wrong reasons. She was doing things to gain approval, pining for attention, needing people. She didn't want to do that anymore. She wanted to be herself and for people to love that, not her attempts for attention. She'd been working at an art gallery around town, basically managing it. She's much more excited than her siblings about the move to Paris, and is all ready to jump into the art scene there, too. But her father is being set up for disappointment, because Olivia doesn't really want to live in the family town house for long, and would rather get a roommate and an apartment.

Min-cha is the kind of girl that hides behind her hair, or beneath mounds of clothes, or perhaps beneath a hoodie. She doesn't like to draw attention to herself unless she's among friends, and even then its rare. She relaxes only around those she knows, otherwise she's always worried about what might happen, or not happen, and who may or may not be judging her. She can be sweet and even affectionate with the ones she cares about, but if you're someone she doesn't know/like/and or are intimidated by, well expect her to shut down and not show a peek of who she is, or how wonderful she can be. Because of how little she's had in life, she appreciates everything, and everyone, in her life greatly.

❝A Remembrance ❞
Min-Cha Hong was born in a nunnery, her mother had been hiding out there, from Min-Cha's father, and well it was time, so the little baby girl was born right there in a church. The sisters were more than equipped for such an incident, they'd boarded pregnant women before, and had no problem helping the young woman and her newborn. Mrs. Hong stayed there for three months after Min-cha was born, that was when she'd found a job, and a small place for them to stay. The sisters offered to watch the Min-cha when her mother was at work, and she accepted their offer, trusting them not to hand her child over to the abusive man that had fathered the poor child.
Min-cha grew up knowing the sisters almost like aunts, and she loved each and every one of them like family. She never knew anything was off, never knew of her father, or his ways. He'd essentially disappeared from their lives, so her mother never saw reason to tell her about any of it. When Min-cha was old enough to start school, Rachel(her mother), began applying for scholarships for her daughter to attend at the American School of Paris. It was a fairly prestigious school, but she thought her little girl was smart enough to attend, plus she knew that she would need a good school behind her name to get into a great college later on in life. An anonymous source funded Min-cha, and thus began her status as scholarship student, and that really didn't get her off to a good start at her new school. Her mother would never know the crap that she got at times for not being rich like the other kids, because Min-cha isn't the type to just drop her burdens off into others laps. Any bullying, or teasing, she endured, she kept to herself, and tried her best to avoid the people that did it, as best she could. The few other scholarships at the school seem to avoid other scholarship students for some reason. Maybe because they believe being together will just make things worse? Who knows, but Min-cha has learned to make it on her own, and to hide her emotions well, even though she really is a sensitive soul.
She entered into high school age and began to work odd jobs to help her mother with the price of her uniforms, meal plans, and such. Also to help pay her phone bill, because it was the one extravagant she was allowed in life. Her mom was poor, but she tried to keep her daughter somewhat comfortable at her setting at school. Rachel didn't understand that the only thing that would ease Min-cha's life would be to make her rich, or to give her a rich boyfriend, neither seemed likely. So she kept up her good grades, top ten of her class, and has been doing everything in her power to become invisible while at school. You won't see her volunteering for things often, or drawing attention to herself purposely. You may see her getting teased, or bullied though, because that just seems to be her lot in life. She doesn't really have any friends at her school, but maybe this year will be different? She doesn't let herself hope so, but maybe someone, or someones, can change this for young Min-cha.

♛Madeline is a tall young woman, with long limbs and slight curves that give her a nice figure. Her skin is a beautifully dark shade. Maddie's eyes are almond shaped and a chocolate brown, and her hair is large and poofy, made up of thick curls that spread around her head. She's always wanted to get a perm in order to tame the curls, but has never been able to afford it.♛

TraitsMadeline doesn't often back down from a challenge. She's been through a lot of crap in her life, so hard work and a little elbow grease doesn't scare her. She's been working since she was 14, so she's very used to doing things for herself. Even if she doesn't have to, Maddie will prefer to do things alone, so that she doesn't have to ask for help. Why should she ever ask for help from someone, and then owe them a favor in return, when she can simply accomplish the task herself? Does she have trust issues? Definitely. But you would too, if you had lived her life. But once she does trust someone, she's incredibly loyal to them and will stick up for whatever it is that they need, even if they're too nervous or upset too at the time. She can definitely be a force to be reckoned with. Madeline has always been smarter than the average girl when it comes to both book and street smarts, and is very good with her schoolwork. If there's something that she doesn't understand, she works hard and researches whatever she has to in order to work it out, so she can be a successful student. With the jobs she's worked in Paris, Madeline has spent a lot of time around the two types of people she hates the most; tourists and ignorant rich people. The tourists expect her to constantly speak English for them, which she can, but the rich people were the worst. They walk around like they're so much better than others, and treat Maddie and other staff like crap, just because they can. This way of treatment has shaped Maddie into a very sarcastic girl, one that rolls her eyes and happens to scoff at all the wrong people. But she's good at what she does, and she gets her job done, so they keep her around.

History
A curse, rather than a blessing. That's what Madeline was seen as before she was even born. When her mother went into labor, it was clear that the situation wasn't a normal one. First, it wasn't her due date yet. Maddie was early. Second, her mother was in too much pain. Now yes, childbirth is painful, but when it comes to the mother passing out in cold sweats halfway through the labor process, doctors tend to think that something is wrong. It was a complication, something that they should've caught, but didn't; at least not until it as too late. It came to a choice being made, only mother or daughter could live, but not both. And the father said, as any husband would, to save his wife. They could have another child, mourn this baby, yes, but they could have another one, the two had never had to try too hard for a baby. And the doctors tried their best, but it wasn't a prestigious hospital, unfortunately it was the only one that was on their health insurance plan. So they couldn't save the mother, even after they tried, and ended up saving the tiny baby, the little baby girl that killed her mother. Alice had been her name, and she'd had beautifully curly dark hair, from a perm, obviously, but it fit her beautifully. And her husband, Thomas, never really got over the fact that the doctors save the wrong person. It was like a slap in the face, to ask for his wife and get the baby instead; like God or whoever was up there calling him a son of a bitch, and giving him what he should've wanted in the first place. The two of them already had a daughter, a few years before the new baby, so it was more than just him losing his wife. A mother, sister, and wife was lost that day, and no one will ever let Madeline forget that.
Mostly, they hold that grudge against her because she looks exactly like her mother. She doesn't have the glossy and perfect hair, but her skin, her body type, even the features of her face. Madeline's been seeing pictures all her life, and she knows, she's the spitting image of her young mother, who was only 26 when she died. Her father doesn't like to look at her, and after his wife died, he went into a deep depression. Losing Alice, the love of his life, the one who knew how to run the house and their lives, was gone. How could he fill those shoes? He was a father, yeah, but he was only used to taking his daughter out for ice cream when Alice had a long shift at her job as a nurse. That's how he used to "take care of dinner", and it had been a laugh back then, but once she was gone, it felt pathetic to not know how to care for your own children. And Madeline was the worst part of that. As a baby, a lot of people in the community were interested in helping to raise her and make sure Thomas had enough money to work everything out, since he only worked at a fitness club nearby their small house as a personal trainer. It worked for him for a long time, but after Alice died, he started to self medicate with alcohol. It started as a few drinks at night, and then he added a few in the morning, too, and soon enough, his breath always smelled like whiskey, and wouldn't you know, the townspeople decided they didn't really want to help and aid the town drunk. What they seemed to forget we're the two little girls sitting inside, one just out of a crib and the other trying to hold everything together.
Madeline always saw her sister as a sort of mother figure, since she was always taking care of her. When Madeline needed something, she didn't go to her father; he would just yell at her that he was trying to nap or that he needed some damn silence, just once! Instead, Maddie went to her big sister. She wasn't that much older than Madeline herself, but she had been taking on a lot since their mother died. She used to baby sit and water plants and pull weeds for their neighbors, so they would pay her some money and she could at least get the ingredients to make she and little Madeline peanut butter sandwiches. Their father was always buying more alcohol, and he barely even went to work after a few years, so he wasn't really worth the time. But her sister had told Maddie once that if she ever told anyone how bad their house was, they would be split up, sent to different orphanages filled with kids or to homes with weirder families than their own. And Madeline surely didn't want that, so she kept her mouth shut, and just did what her sister said.
p a r t II
Growing up was hard, but once she hit school, Maddie had a whole something new to focus on. She was fantastic in school, and aced all of her subjects easily, even when she got done in middle school, she was at the very top of her class. Even in English, the hardest subject they taught, Maddie was given high marks. She could speak the language well, well enough to where any English speaker should surely understand what she was trying to say. She didn't go to any fancy private school, she went to the public one, riding her bike to school every day and then taking it to work afterwards. Work was a loose term for Madeline, since the job was always changing. Her first job was at an ice cream place when she was 14, since she and her sister needed the money. But she got fired from that after talking back to a customer. Then she got one in retail, where she folded jeans that customers had rejected and stacked them on a huge display in the front of the store. It was Hollister, for gods sake, and just recently, Maddie decided to try and look for other employment. The pounding music annoyed her, the clouds of perfume everywhere she stepped made her feel sick, and having to wear the company's clothing while she worked? Punishment enough. She had to keep the job at stupid Hollister while she looked though, she couldn't afford to not be paid. Her father was only taking one or two days at work a week by then, if they were lucky. And most of his money went towards alcohol. It was Madeline and her sister that kept the lights on and paid for cell phones. They were the ones that got the cabinets decently stocked and bought their own clothes and things. Maddie had always wanted to get a perm like her mother, just to look more like her, but she couldn't ever afford it. Anyway, she handed out applications to different places, each one showing her work experience since she was 14. She was rejected by most, but one man actually called her in for an interview. His name was Jack McCloud, and he owned a really nice hotel, one of the most popular in Paris. The hotel had a restaurant in it where she applied to be a waitress, because if she could get the job, maybe she could actually keep it for more than a year or six months. And meeting Mr. McCloud was sort of weird, because he seemed to think it was odd that she'd been working since age 14. He asked her all these questions about why she needed the job, and when she answered honestly, he gave her the position. Madeline, as smart as she is, didn't understand that he gave her the job over a lot of other applicants, and thought she must've been the only person to apply, or that she was the only one that could speak both French and English, or that she'd gotten lucky. Quitting her job at Hollister was better than she could imagine. She didn't even give two weeks notice, she just stormed out after telling off her crappy boss. And working as a waitress isn't that bad. It sucks when she has a picky kid that doesn't like anything on the menu, but she always mentions that the chef makes fantastic grilled cheeses. And yeah, it's way too hot sometimes, but when she goes to the bartender and asks him to pleeassee turn up the AC, he usually does it. Her uniform is simply to wear a little blank dress with pantyhose underneath, so it could be worse. She manages to do her summer schoolwork in the kitchen while her tables are eating their meals, and even with the job, she thinks that school will be a breeze, even though she won't be able to make as much money as usual, since she can only work afternoons and nights.

Lucy was born in Geneva, Switzerland, on January 14, 1991. When she was ten, her family moved to Paris, France, and enrolled her in a lycee. Luce continued her education in the French-speaking setting, even though her native tongue is Swiss German. As she grew, so did her language proficiency-- Lucy can now speak English (with only a slight accent), French, Swiss German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and Czech, while she can read all of the above in addition to pinyin, because her mother is Chinese and insisted that she learn the language.
She had a relatively normal adolescence, with her mother being an international businesswoman and her father working IT for a large firm. This early exposure to computers led her to fully immersing herself online; Lucy is an avid MMORPG player in addition to a coder and programmer. She is online for a living, hacking and coding for money. While she doesn't maliciously infiltrate networks for her own benefit, she will take money in exchange for scripts and viruses (the thing she doesn't tell her clients, however, is that she warns the sysadmins beforehand).
Luce alsolooksrelatively normal, which often works in her favor, with brown hair and brown-green eyes. Paris is a big city, with big crowds that are easy to get lost or be lost in, especially if you have such a forgettable face.
She enjoys coding and computers, and dislikes authorities -- Lucy thinks they're corrupt and that there's too much of a power struggle between the government and the general population. The girl is deathly afraid of spiders, cringing at even the mention of them. She's also slightly claustrophobic, though if the time calls for drastic measures, she'll climb into a dumpster if needed.
In general, she's a fairly sarcastic person, and channels this into her wit to get her out of potentially hazardous situations when she gets caught.

≡ [ The first thing you need to know about Edana is that she is not who she used to be. Bubbly, oblivious, easily distracted, and optimistic no matter the circumstances, Edana could be described as the “life of the party”. In some respects, she forces herself to smile many mornings, yet cannot wipe the grin off her face at the end of the day. Short, sweet, and fashion-forward, she’s also very into trends, as long as they’re safe. With deft fingers and a quick eye, Edana has played a prank or two. However, the minute anyone shows the slightest sign of pain or is in any way affected by something Edana has directly or indirectly done, she’ll cry. Managing to keep a smile on her face while weeping almost all day long, Edana has mastered the art of making yourself look presentable and always forgetting waterproof mascara. With a short memory and an even shorter attention span, if you ask her why she was crying a minute ago, she’ll be the most confused yet sweetest being you’ll ever see. Some say the look of confused puppy is endearing, others say it gets boring, and still others aren’t really dog people, but none of that bothers Edana, as she’ll probably be off chasing the birds that run across telephone lines and has been thinking about at least three other things by the time you register she’s gone. ]

≡ [ Small and quiet, Edana Rhee was born Park Myunghan in a safe house in Chongju, North Korea. Born into a military family during long-distance shooting practices, the sound of rifles going off left and right was enough to silence the poor child for her first six years. Essentially mute and almost never seeing the light of day, Edana was hidden at all times, as this was an accidental child, and a girl nonetheless. Her father, Chief Correspondent during the training processes, always came home at night, never showing his face. Her older brother, Taehan, was called away several times a month, often leaving the family for days at a time. She never saw her mother smile, never knew what her father even looked like, and only remembers faint touches and soft smiles when it comes to her brother. This was the life of Edana Rhee before she was Edana Rhee – this was the life of Park Myunghan, a child never meant to be born and never existed. ]["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
≡ [ On the eve of her ninth birthday, they came. All of them. As soon as they stormed the house, Edana was shoved under her bed and was told to keep quiet until all became silent. A thin and short red string was tied at one end to Edana’s middle finger, the other end connected to her mother’s. Huddled underneath the small cot, heads bowed, and tears silently falling onto the creaking floorboards, the pair knew that one of them would die tonight. They ended up breaking down the door. Screaming, crying, and thrashing, Edana’s mother was always a brave woman, and didn’t go without a fight. However, the unspoken thought that one of them would die was proven true as the crack of bone resonated throughout the dusty space and her mother fell limp to the floor. Edana kept quiet as they searched the rest of the house, cursed when they found nothing of importance, and mentioned going out for drinks as they tossed Edana’s motionless father onto his wife’s body. Taehan came home two days later, and Edana – dehydrated, mortified, and hopeless – still hadn’t moved from under the bed. Picking her up, retying the red string around her finger and connecting the other end to his, they ran from the deserted neighborhood. Taehan never looked back, but Edana, looking over his shoulder, could see that something terrible had happened, and couldn’t understand what it was. ]
≡ [ As soon as they crossed the border, Taehan was shot for suspected hostility and cooperation with enemy military and Edana refused to leave him behind, red string keeping them connected until it was ripped from both of their fingers. Still confused as to why her family was dead, Edana finally allowed herself to be picked up and carried away, the “string of fate” keeping her anchored to reality until her fingers are cut off. After the great orphanage incident, which involved a twisted ankle, an irritated turtle, and the promises shared between two eleven-year olds, Edana burst into a new life, a free life. Unofficially going by “Edana” for seven years, finally changing her name three years ago, and discovering that French food is better served without kimchi, Edana has changed herself completely. Bubbly and disoriented is her trademark persona, as she wants nothing to do with Park Myunghan any longer and finds that putting a smile on your face will help it stay there longer than a frown. The red string is still tied around her middle finger after all these years, and she hopes that a visit to Paris will give her the boost she needs to start over completely. ]

≡ [ Sassy, narcissistic, and forever lost as to why no man wants her, April is both the calm before and the eye of the storm. She doesn’t do anything she doesn’t want to do, and is constantly “attacked” for not following the rules. April believes that rules are simply barriers, yet to break through them, you must have them, for no result is truly a result if there’s nothing standing in your way. Always looking for challenges, April is the kind of girl to teach you how to walk and immediately dare you to run a marathon before you’ve taken ten steps on your own. Seeing herself as mysterious and cunning, April likes to wander around in the shadows, which are actually just her standing under a black umbrella no matter the weather, because “skin must always be kept clear.” April wants one thing: a man who can keep up with her, as she loves playing hard-to-get. Once he’s got the love-sick puppy look, she pities him and decides that he’s truly the one. These types never last long, and this makes April a bit irritated, which is a sight no one wants to see. Nose scrunched up, hands balled into fists, and right foot erratically tapping the ground, an irritated April is a lethal April. ]

≡ [ April led a simple life in the city, always darting around and causing mischief at the nearby shops and apartments. Most of her negative traits seem to come from her mother, who was truly both the calm before and the eye of the storm. After being driven to the hospital by a friend and swearing she’ll murder her husband throughout labor, she was completely stressed and decided to drive herself home just hours after giving birth. The first thing April ever saw of her father was him being beaten down by a woman and his 6’2” frame cowering in a corner as his wife described how she was going to kill him and swatted him with last week’s newspapers. From that point on, both April and her mother had him wrapped around their little finger, yet April continued to have a much healthier relationship with him than her mother. At night, she would sneak downstairs and the pair would watch the news and play checkers until one in the morning, and he’d always tell her the same thing before she went back upstairs: “You’re going to become a fire, and don’t ever let anyone put you out.” ]["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
≡ [ April’s life was truly very simple, living on the 12th floor of the corner building; her father running a small shop full of traditional Asian items and mother running up and down the street to deliver laundry and simple housekeeping services. One day, her mother collapsed while climbing the seventh flight of stairs in the apartment next to the corner building. At age 15, April had her first driving experience, her first incident with the police, and it was the first time she ever told anyone the words her father had been telling her at one in the morning for the past eight years. Running up to the seventh floor, getting in the car, and weaving in and out of traffic until she was stopped just a block away from the hospital, April believes that the fire inside her raged at this very moment, and her strength has continued to this day. After punching the cop in the face and half-dragging her mother to the emergency room, April whispered the words “don’t ever let anyone put you out” to her mother as her brain began to fail and lay on the cold bed for two months before she was gone. ]
≡ [ April and her father played checkers right before April went off to Paris in search of a simpler life. Her simple father betting money, getting hurt when he didn’t have any money, and betting more for compensation had been a shock to simple April, who decided to use her hands for something other than reckless driving and brute force against authority. This decision was to move to Paris for the museums and art education, and leave her father behind. A hard decision it was, but it had to be done, or else she would be taking care of her father for the rest of her life. April was completely fine with that, but her father took the reins for once and told her that she was moving out to find a better life, one that didn’t reek of potential arrests and the roses on seventh floor landings. ]

♛Audrey isn't the tallest girl, but she is the type to always wear heels, just to compensate for her tiny stature. She has a very lean form though, completely with pretty curves. Her skin is always an olive, tan tone, even though she doesn't often go to the beach. Her eyes are a dark brown, and though her hair is a sandy blonde color, she does have to dye it to get it there, and has it cut to just above her chest, the perfect length for a respectable ponytail or braid everyday. Her eyebrows are thick, and she doesn't she them, so they stay at their natural dark brown. Her lips are full and plump, and Audrey doesn't like to be seen without some shade of lipstick on.♛

TraitsAudrey is a very kind woman. She was raised by just one older woman, and so she was taught grace and elegance when she was younger. Those are the lessons that really stuck with her when she grew up, and she's turned into the sort of young woman that people write poetry about. The way she moves is more of a gliding, and you could easily mistake her laughter for that of a fairy. She has kind eyes that are true to who she is; Audrey would always come to the aid of someone that needed her help, and is loyal to any friends and family she has, no matter how loyal or kind they are to her. She's as sweet as one of her desserts, and takes kindly to most types of people. The only people she can't stand are the rude ones, who blatantly try to hurt others. People like that make her skin crawl, since she believes in an opposite way of living. Treating one as you would want to be treated, that's how the world should be. Audrey doesn't have much confidence in herself though, and in the past year can be somewhat shy and docile. She never used to be so quiet, but recent events have made her fight to be her old self, and so that's what she's done. Audrey is getting fantastically better every day, and only finds herself being terribly shy around certain people, but as a business owner, she doesn't have much room to make mistakes. Audrey will do whatever it takes to succeed though, and is determined to better her business with hard work and lots of strategy.

History
Chloe and Amal Citron were the epitome of middle-class success. They lived in Paris, France, in a small cottage down by the Seine. It was expensive to own a home there, but they had gone to college and gotten their degrees in law, and both practiced that law together out of a professionally zoned suite in downtown Paris. They were young, only about 25, but their practice did well, and after one high class woman used them as her divorce lawyers, and the two helped her rob her cheating husband blind, they became pretty popular with the Parisian Elite. But soon enough, after they'd vacationed in every crevice of the world, they decided that it was time to have a family. Their house had gotten lonely when one of the couple was gone, so they decided furthering their lives together was what should come next...logically. They were 30 by then, and when Chloe got pregnant, she immediately decided that her first baby, a girl that she wished to name Audrey, would be her last. Being pregnant wasn't a sunny glow and occasional morning sickness to Chloe. It was waking up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat, gaining weight and feeling like a whale, and barely being able to hold down food, much less enjoy it. She wasn't a happy pregnant lady like many were, focused on the fact that she was bringing new life in the world, she was just despising how having a baby was constantly inconveniencing her. But once the baby was born, she acted like the past nine months had been even worse, like they'd been hell, and the relief of having Audrey in her arms made her very happy....until she started to cry.
It can be hard to be the center of attention. At least, Audrey Citron always seemed to have a problem with it. There were times when her mother would stuff her into little dresses and tutus and take her to parties, but Audrey always preferred to stay home and draw or have tea parties with her stuffed animals. They would parade her around the party, letting everyone see how "perfect" their daughter was. But Audrey didn't like have her cheeks pinched and to be asked questions about different things all day. When she was at the parties, she was usually found hidden underneath the dessert table by the end of the affair, with a cookie in her hand and pure relaxation on her face. Hiding was the only way they wouldn't all look at her and ask her things. Talking to adults was hard, except for her aunt. Her mothers younger sister, Ellie, was always a great spot of refuge at the silly parties they went to. Ellie would let Audrey sit in her lap and just be quiet, just color on the tablecloth or a piece of paper, and just relax. The two made a very unique but lovely pair. One stressed out little girl, and one quiet nurse. When Chloe announced that she was pregnant again, Audrey was extremely excited. Not only would she have someone to play with, but she would have someone to share the burden of the spotlight with, so she wouldn't be alone. And when her baby sister was born, they did share the spotlight, for a while, anyway. But then her parents passed away in a car accident. Thankfully Audrey and her sister weren't in the car, but it was troubling for little Audrey to have to attend her parents funerals. She's just barely gotten into school, and the whole time, she felt like their deaths were her fault. She'd never wished them dead, but she had wished they would just go away, and had even prayed one night that they would leave her alone and stop making her wear stupid dresses and smiling and playing the piano at their parties. She didn't want to be some show pony anymore, and so she assumed the accident was her fault because her wish had come true. After their deaths, she and her sister went to live with their aunt, who was only twenty at the time. But she took the kids in happily, and hired good baby sitters and tutors for when she had to be at the hospital for work. After time went on she even went to school online and became an anesthesiologist, so she was paid better at the hospital. It meant some longer days, but Audrey and her sister were always taken care of. Ellie and the girls had inherited everything Chloe and Amal had, so they lived in the same house the girls grew up in and the girls had sizable trust funds that they would grow into. There wasn't a male role model in their life since Ellie was single, but they were all happy.
School was always boring for Audrey, since she was more interested in the social aspect of it. Strangely enough, she made best friends with a girl that was a lot like her mother. Her name was Millie, and she was the blondest blonde there was. She was happy and perky like Audrey, but she was the more bossy of the best friends, the more adventurous. She would drag Audrey after her to parties and dare her to kiss boys that she barely knew. Millie made sure that Audrey had fun, and as silly as that seemed, the house parties with matching outfits and campouts with Millie's family were always the best times Audrey had. But when she went home, she just liked to relax with her aunt and sister. They would all sit around the wide kitchen island with mugs of coffee, and they would cook. Audrey's sister was much better at cooking real meals, but Audrey and Ellie ruled dessert. They loved to make éclairs, beignets, and profiteroles, all with Choux pastry. They would make jokes and chat about their days and fashion and anything they liked around the table, and that's when they really were a family, a very protective group of ladies that just adored one another. Audrey liked to bake on her own, too, and she made everything under the sun in that kitchen, making Millie go to markets and stores with her to get the best ingredients before she tried a new recipe. By the time the girls got their senior year of high school, Audrey was a pro, and knew that she wanted to go into baking as a career. She had the talent, so why not?
She'd never had much of a love life, only silly boys that took her to parties and bars when they were 16. She didn't really need a boyfriend though, and wasn't even interested, that is, until she met Jaques. He was tall and dark-haired, he didn't even go to school with she and Millie, he was a year older, already graduated when Audrey met him. His eyes were bright blue and when Audrey and Millie bumped into him and one of his friends at a football game, she thought her attraction to him was all so silly, that he would never like someone like her. But he did. He liked her shiny brown eyes and her happy little mouth and the way she laughed. He liked the voice she made when she tried to impersonate others, the way her nose wrinkled at the bad smell of the sand which he'd gotten to eat that night, and how she giggled for much longer than she should at every single joke. He thought she was adorable, and so he asked her on a real date. Of course Audrey said yes, and the rest was history. Everyone found them to be the perfect couple. Jaques was more boisterous and loud than Audrey, but she liked to be loud with him, and when he was being too much, she was the only one that could get him to shut up once in a while. Audrey fell in love with him easily, and living in Paris, it was easy to do. After a while, Jaques learned that the only part of the fancy restaurants he took her to that she really liked was dessert, and that when he called her on it, she would insist that it wasn't true with a mouth full of cream from whatever pastry she'd ordered. He learned that she liked to be kissed on the nose, and the forehead, and the cheek, and that the only way to really calm her down was to sit her in front of a Meryl Streep movie. Audrey learned that Jaques just liked to watch her blush, and that he liked to be kissed on the neck; just a little bit, and that the only way to calm him down was to call him an imbécile gaffeur, a blundering idiot, and slap him right across the face. It worked because it reminded him of the soap operas Audrey always insisted on watching, and he would just have to laugh at the dramatic gesture. They were great together, happy and all. Aunt Ellie never much liked Jaques, calling him trouble, but she knew how much Audrey cared about him. Audrey went through school and became a pastry chef, all while Jaques was studying medicine at a school near hers. They always had lunch together, every single day. A picnic on the Seine, which was Audrey's favorite spot in her home city. That was where he gave her a promise ring, and where he asked her to move into his apartment with him. Both gestures were lovely, and sharing a place with Jaques was perfect for the couple. They didn't have to sneak around to get time alone anymore, that was for sure. They got to spend every night together, and and only really parted to go to their schools. Once Audrey graduated, she started to talk about opening up her own patisserie. She had barely touched her trusts fund, and it seemed like a good move. She'd already found the space she wanted and everything, so she finally told Jaques, Millie, and her family about the idea. Hey we're all incredibly supportive and encouraged her to do it, and when she finally bought the space and painted it night teal, she was hooked. She started spending a lot of her time there, and their picnics had to take place on the floor while they painted the walls. She was always waking up early to rush down there, placing a big kiss on Jaques' lips before she left, and promising to be home when he was that evening. But sometimes she was a little too late, a little too distracted, a little too differently for Jaques to handle. He thought he was losing her, when really she was just so happy and excited. He did the worst thing he ever could've done; he tried to discourage a brave woman. Audrey was confused when he talked about how her patisserie and cafe was a bad idea. He suggested that she work at a nice place in the city, somewhere that she would be using someone else's recipes. And so Audrey and Jaques fought. They ended up screaming at each other in their apartment late that night, and eventually it was Audrey who stormed out, tears streaming down her face. She went to stay with her aunt and sister, just for a few days, to cool down. And when she finally did go home, she found what she would never expect to see. Jaques was asleep, naked, in their bed with someone else. Audrey let out a screech at the sight, and when they both awoke and looked at her, stunned, she broke down in terrible tears. Not only had Jaques slept with another woman out of spite, but that woman was Millie. Jaques wasn't an idiot though, and he quickly clothed himself and ran after Audrey when she left the way she had come. He tried to convince her that it was an accident, that he only loved her and he was drunk the night before. And Audrey thought about it for a moment, trying to decide if she should try to save her relationship. But then Millie came outside as well, clothed and looking sinister, and Audrey wasn't sure if anything anymore. She didn't know if Jaques loved her, or if he ever had, or how long he and Millie had been sleeping together. So she ripped off the promise ring he'd given her and threw it in his face, swearing that she never wanted to see him again. Ellie was the one that got her nieces things from the apartment, and Audrey truly hasn't seen Jaques since. But he's been trying to contact her. He's called and left voicemails, he's texted and pleaded with her, asked to come see her and explain, to get her back. But Audrey has thrown herself into her shop, and opened only a few weeks ago, with her own recipes and coffees being sold to a happy public. She's only sent Jaques one text back ne vous avisez pas montrer votre visage, don't you dare show your face, just to let him know that he wasn't welcome at her shop. She's been doing well so far, and her sister and aunt have been supporting her and being there for her, but she needs to hire some help for the patisserie, and she needs an apartment of her own. Living with her aunt again is comfortable, but she'd rather have her own space. She's trying to see this as a time to grow, but all Audrey is really feels is broken.

Anne is a sweet, but strong person. She cares about those close to her, and loves to argue. She is usually obedient towards her mothers, and authority figures unless she KNOWS she's right, or that whatever it is is illogical. Then she will not back down unless proven wrong. She has her moods where she just wants to be left alone, but they're few and far between.
「To some people love is like a sign of victory, like a medal or trophy, they like to use to boast about. To some people love is a process of waiting endlessly for the other person with all their heart. To that woman love is a secret that can’t be exposed to others, not even to herself
❝A Remembrance ❞
Anne grew up with her brother and moms. Zephyr was born before her, and so she had him to follow around as she grew up. The two weren't actually related, since they were both adopted, but they have never treated each other any other way other than as true siblings. He's looked out for her since she started toddling around. She was the princess that they'd always hoped for, she didn't mind her moms dressing her up in frilly dresses, or making her go to ballet's with them, she loved everything they put before her and had a healthy hunger for learning. She was always ahead of the other students in class, and could be caught with her nose in a book from age 4 and on. Anne was more interested in the past than her present from the time she watched her first Cary Grant movie, and had Pride and Prejudice read to her. She's very much into history, as well as being sophisticated. She believes in everyone bettering themselves as much as they can, no matter their background.
Anne has always been comfortable with going to her brother with any problems she has, or secrets. She loves them all very much, she doesn't see having two moms as weird, she just feels more lucky because she has two where most kids only get one. She honestly didn't miss a father figure, she didn't see why she needed a man in her life. Her mothers have encouraged her to be whoever she wants, and to do what she dreams of doing. She loves her brother very much and wouldn't be the same without him. She tells her mothers most things on her mind, but the things she doesn't she tells her best friend Ava McCloud. She wants to be a lawyer when she grows up, so she is already studying law books. Most kids her age do not understand how she can have her future so planned out, or how she would rather be studying than making out with some guy, or going to the latest party. Anne has never really been interested in any of that stuff though, the closest she's come to doing anything worrisome is when she hung out at Cole Superior's beach house over the summer. That worried her moms some, but she showed them that it wouldn't mean she was going to change. Between hanging out with her besty Ava, and preparing for her future, she also volunteered at the local food shelter, and was a part time intern at a local law firm. Anne has never been in love, heck she's barely ever even had a crush. She says often that boys are for after college and after she's established herself in a good firm. Then she will have time for boys, dating, broken hearts, the works. Of course everyone thinks she's kind of crazy for this plan, but honestly Anne is her own person and doesn't much care about what others think. Her moms are very supportive of her plans.

(view spoiler)« a p p e a r a n c e »
Isabella is a fairly small girl, with tiny shoulders and only standing at about five feet and three inches tall. Her skin tone rests at a pretty olive, like she's been tanning for a week, when in all reality that's just the skin she was born with. Her eyes are a pale green color, with thick lashes to surround them, and her lips a plump, berry pink. Bella is a thin girl, with arms and legs that sometimes seem a little bit too skinny, but somehow, she's managed to keep some small curves to help her feel much more grown up. Her hair is now an almost mousy, warm brown color. It used to be darker, but a bottle of on-clearance bleach from a drug store in Paris took care of that in just ten minutes. Since running away, Bella has been wearing lots of sundresses, because they're very light to carry and easy to wash and dry in a hostels bathroom; all of them are airy and most are more form-fitting on top with loose skirts that fall halfway to her knee.
« p e r s o n a l i t y »
〱Sweet
Though she's had to become a bit tougher to make it, Isabella is a very sweet girl at heart. She cares about a lot of people, and would do a lot to make sure people are happy. She's come to love freedom in the past few days, and the weight that's been lifted off of her shoulders is easily the best thing that's ever happened to her. She's not afraid to laugh or make a stupid joke, or to dance a little bit when she hears good music, no matter where. Bella believes that all people are good at heart, no matter what happens. She knows that some people have become rotten over the years, and sometimes there's no hope for people like them. But everyone at least deserves a few chances. Though she's become a free spirit, she's had to hold onto some suspicion, because otherwise, the people around her in the city of Paris would take advantage of her, would hurt her, and then where would she be?
〱Headstrong
Though kind, Isabella can also be a very independent girl that doesn't take no for an answer. She's been treated like a princess her whole life, so it's understandable that she isn't the most compliant girl around. She can be a bit bossy sometimes without meaning to, and if her temper runs away with her, well, then she would have a full-scale temper tantrum. She's been known to throw things, stomp her feet, yell at people for twitching an eyebrow the wrong way. She really doesn't mean to be so childish, but she liked to have rings done in a certain way, she likes to know what things are going to be like. And as you can imagine, in such an unpredictable world, she find surprises way too often.
〱Intelligent
Isabella is just a kid, really, but she's one of the smartest kids you'll ever meet. Not just with books and academics, though she does know her way around advanced courses, but with street smarts as well. She understands people and can see them as they are most of the time, dangerous or friendly. She doesn't let herself be fooled, and really is only in the situation of being a runaway because she's so smart. She wouldn't allow herself to become a statistic, so running was really her only option. In school she'd always studied hard to be the best, so she considers real life to be the same way. People are to be studied, and that's where the understanding comes from. Snapping your fingers and wanting to understand something isn't how life works. Bella knows that devoted attention to everything; body language, tone of voice, facial expressions. It's all important, and all helps her understand much more.
〱Silly
Isabella is a free spirit, and having a terrible sense of humor is a major part of that. When she laughs, she wheezes and makes silly noises, snorts and looks like a compete idiot. After making a joke, she generally winks at the people she's trying to bring joy to, or throws the double pistols at them. She's just terrible at being a serious person, and would even try to turn her situation at home into a joke, which she has, and will continue, to do. Being serious means making adult decisions, and even at 16, Bella feels nowhere near as grown up as she should. She just hasn't had a lot of opportunities to be independent. School was one thing, but that was making decisions about what to wear or how to tell off some guy for hurting her friend. Now she's in the real world, and the decisions she's facing scare her more and more, so the only way she's seen to cope is to just pretend everything is absolutely perfect.

They already had one baby, a young boy named Daniel. He was just a year old, Winona and Peter barely knew how to be parents yet. But they already knew they wanted another one, they wanted a girl. A little girl to dress up in pink, a future debutante. A little girl that was pretty and sweet enough to marry into an important family, one that would boost their companies status. And a girl is what they got. They named her Isabella, and she was the best baby anyone had ever seen. She had bright green eyes and an adorable baby giggle, and she didn't cry every two seconds, but instead, bothered her parents when she actually needed something. She was born and raised in a city of France called Toulouse. It wasn't the largest city, but it was plenty busy and had enough wealth to go around, and her fathers real estate company owned half the profitable properties in the city, so the family was fairly wealthy. They lived in a big townhouse that was on one of the main streets in the city. The Roux's were a huge part of the social scene, and happened to be one of the most elite families in the area. Isabella grew up to be a sweet little girl, she always liked at school and always bored at galas and fancy parties. She liked to be dressed up in the one of a kind gowns and the silly hats, she loved the garden parties and going to the theater. Her big brother was even more interested in their lives that she was, but he was all about their father. He wanted to be just like him, but Bella preferred her mother. Her father always got angry, he always drank his whiskey and yelled at their mother for silly things; like when Bella accidentally wandered into her fathers study in the afternoons, or when she was too loud in the playroom, all of it became her moms fault, and Isabella just didn't think that was fair. So the siblings always squabbled. Daniel always insisted that their father was the best, but Bella would always yell back that their dad was a huge jerk, and that mommy was easily the better parent. Now Winona always thought the siblings arguments were adorable, and she was always more fond of Isabella than her son, anyway. She used to go into Bella's room before bed and read her stories, braid her hair, and check under the bed and in the closet for monsters before going back downstairs to Peter. Isabella never went to sleep right away though, because Peter was always yelling downstairs in his angry voice, and sometimes, Winona would yell back. Bella didn't understand it when she was younger, the sickening noise of a slap that she heard or the crash of her mother being pushed against a China cabinet or a wall in anger. She didn't think it could possibly be her mother being hurt. She asked Daniel about it once, but he only told her to shut up, that it wasn't any of her business. But one day, it became her business. Bella was in middle school, and her mother picked her up in the middle of the day, saying that she had a doctors appointment. Bella didn't remember any such thing, but she went along with it because her mother was much better at remembering things than she was, plus, she would get to miss gym class. But they didn't go to the doctors. Bella's mother picked her up in a flurry of fear, wearing a long-sleeved shirt and her hair down even though it was springtime. She told Isabella that they were going away for a little bit, just the two of them. What she didn't tell her daughter was that Peter had been so violent that morning that her vision was still swimming, and that he'd made threats on her life. Bella's pink suitcase was in the back of the car, filled with her clothes for all kinds of weather, all the really light stuff that was easy to carry. Isabella thought it was a vacation to the coast, that her father and brother would meet them there for sure, that it was a big surprise. But when they reached the hotel, the rest of the family wasn't there. And Isabella asked her mother where they were, but she just said that they were staying home, it was just the two of them. She paid for their hotel room with cash, and left a funny name that Bella didn't recognize at the front desk; it was all pretty weird. And Bella didn't like it. She was confused and pretty scared about how her mother was acting, so when she went to the bathroom, Isabella rifled through her purse until she found her cell phone. Once she turned it on, which was weird, since mommys phone was always on, and found a bunch of text messages from her father waiting. Being a silly 12 year old, she just opened them, and what she read would always stick with her. From earlier in the morning, things were nicer. Her father texted messages apologizing for hurting her, saying that she was out of his right mind. But then it got to the afternoon, to when Winona hadn't picked Daniel up from school. Peter had found out that she'd taken Bella, luggage, the car, and just gone. He couldn't find out where, so he texted and left voicemails that if he ever found her he would "bury" her and Bella, he would make sure they could never leave him again. And at reading this, Isabella started to cry. She sobbed and sobbed, and when her mother came out of the bathroom and found her weeping daughter, as well as the messages, she sobbed too. Winona said that she'd protect Isabella with everything she had, that Peter would never hurt her. The next morning, Peter called the cops and got both of their pictures put on the news and made up some story about how Winona had gone crazy and taken their daughter away. And after that, they were found easily. Isabella was terrified to see her father, but he acted as if nothing was wrong. And her mother did, too, but not around Isabella. She made sure to tell her daughter to be careful around her father, and to do what he said to avoid being hurt. She would show Isabella the bruises that she was getting, and make sure that her daughter knew that Peter wasn't a saint, even if that was what he wanted everyone to believe.
The years went on much the same. Isabella went to her private school, where she learned Latin and English and how to perfectly execute a calculus problem. Her mother continued to wear long sleeves in warm weather. She sat at lunch with a very kind group of girls that wasn't exactly popular, but were known because of the small student body at the elite school. She kept her distance from her father, only saying the bare minimum to say unsuspicious to him. She didn't have any enemies, at school, didn't show any indicators that anything was going wrong at home. It was only the Roux woman that even believed Peter was a bad man. Daniel always had some odd fascination with him, and thought that everything he said was gospel, or something like that. And Peter was proud of his son, and thought he would surely be ready after his Ivy League education to take some responsibility in the family business. He was ruthless and temperamental, just like Bella's father, and always had an air of disapproval around him. Isabella liked to spend as much time out of the house as possible, and she and Winona sometimes worked together at that goal. They would go to get manicures and pedicures, shop when they didn't need any new clothes, go to brunch and plan parties at the shore so they could have excuses to be away from Peter and Daniel. Isabella always felt like a prisoner in her own home, like if she left, her mother would be hurt beyond belief, and her father would chase after her with a heavy fist and force her to never leave their home again. Sleepovers happened a lot of Bella, since she happened to feel more safe in the homes of her friends than she ever did in her own. Study sessions at the library, after school clubs like rudest government and such were all things she did to be anywhere but inside the four walls that her family called home.
It was a chilly November night when it happened. Isabella was hiding up in her room, as usual, and her parents were arguing, as usual. Her father seemed to think that Winona had cheated on him with some man at the company, but it was obvious that she wouldn't do that. Bella, at least, knew that her mother feared her father far too much to go behind his back in such a way. But fights weren't unusual, so Bella thought nothing of the spit spat. It was actually more peaceful than usual, because there weren't any sounds of fists and palms colliding with faces and arms, so there probably weren't any injuries being dealt. Or, at least she thought. That was only until Isabella heard the loudest thumps she'd ever heard, and the hair on the back of her neck stood up, waiting for the next sound. It turned out to be cussing, with her mothers name being sprinkled into the ramblings every now and then. Bella's heart sunk, and she slowly emerged from her room. She tiptoed down the hallway, and once she reached the flight of stairs, she cried out in horror. She has to look around her father, who was standing at the top of the staircase, to even see her mother at the bottom. She was broken, her bones sticking the wrong way and the shape of her body looking very very wrong. Her eyes were opened, but they didn't look real; they looked glassy, like a wax figure or the guy with the glass eye from the Harry Potter movies. Isabella started crying and screaming, asking her father why he pushed her and calling him crazy. She went to kneel down beside her mothers body, trying to feel for a pulse like she'd been taught to in health class, but nothing was there. She went for the phone, to try and call an ambulance, the police, anyone. But her father caught her first, and he grabbed screamed in her face, telling her that she had to tell the cops he was at the bottom when she found them, that Winona had tripped. When Bella refused, he grabbed a hold of her hair and yanked it harshly, whipping her head around so she could see her mothers lifeless face; a silent reminder that she could be next, that she wasn't necessary. So Bella had to lie. Her brother hadn't even been home, so no one cared what he had to say, but Bella's account of the evening was important. With her father glaring from across the room, we told the police that it had been a quiet night until her mother fell down the stairs; probably tripped, in her heels. And as soon as she got those words out, Peter requested that she be left alone to mourn her mother; which meant stuffing her back in her room and giving her one last threat.
The first few days passed in a blur of funeral arrangements and expensive care packages from family friends and colleagues of both parents. Isabella was out of school, and she didn't have anything to do but think about what had happened. She knew that her mothers death wasn't an accident, that her father had murdered her, and if she stayed in that house, she would probably be killed herself, or at least she would become the new version of her mother. Her father yelled at her everyday after her mother died, and had raised his hand several times already. She knew the statistics; women that were raised in abusive households were abused when they grew up. She tried to go to her brother for help, but he told her again that she was being ridiculous, and to shut up. But Isabella knew that she was right, and that her mother would never want her to live that way. She thought about calling the police, but changing her statement would only mean incriminating herself, plus there was the fact that her father would probably work some way around her claim, only making her life worse than it already was. But there was a second option. Her mother had left her a portion of her jewelry collection in her will, but her father had taken it to his safe, save one white-gold locket, to "keep it all safe" for when Isabella turned 18. Bella knew the combination, everyone in the house did, so it was easy for her to slip not only a couple pieces of the jewelry, but also the certificate that showed the jewelry was hers out of the safe two weeks after her mothers death. She packed a bit back pack with clothes; light things like sundresses and easy tops, one jacket, and one pair of jeans inside. She had essentials like a new phone she'd bought with cash at a drug store, a charger, and some other things that were essentials. With those on her person, she went to a jewelry store and sold two pieces of her mothers jewelry. One was an emerald and diamond necklace on a silver chain, and one was a ring; made of pure gold, diamonds, and a sapphire the size of Bella's nose, or big toe, or something like that. She sold them for almost 500 thousand dollars, and took the cash to run. She took a train to Paris that same afternoon; and by six in the afternoon, she had 1) a bank account holding most of the cash, but she kept a couple hundred bucks on her just in case 2) a bed to sleep in at a hostel, where she pretended to be a girl taking a gap year and traveling from the north, and 3) a fake ID that made her into Isabella Dubois, 18 year old from Bordeaux. She spent her first night just playing tourist, trying to forget the haunting reason that she was even there. And though it was stressful, she quite enjoyed her first few days. The city was beautiful and happy, it turned out to be a great place to hide. Her highest hope is that her father won't try too hard to look for her, and just focus on Daniel as his child as he always had. But with the jewelry that she'd technically stolen, she isn't sure how long she has before she end up in prison, or worse, going back home.

Katia, the girl that can enter a club and draw the eyes of many when she hits the dance floor. She has no qualms when it comes to being the center of attention, or flirting with a cute guy. She has a lot of sas, and is very confident. Her bestie is a bit the opposite, but Katia has no problem drawing her friend out of her comfort zone, and getting her to be her partner in anything fun and wild. She's not always so spirited though, sometimes she can get sad and depressed like anyone else, and she can be very serious when it comes to her friends and family. She's caring, and a bit overprotective when it comes to those she truly cares about. No one can get her down really though when she decides to be happy and is just doing her thing. Lately she's been a bit more out of it than usual, because of her ex-boyfriend, and his naughty shenanigans. We'll discuss that more in detail down below.

Katia Chang was born to Jeong and Lily Chang on an early September day. Lily wouldn't touch the child, she had what's known as post-partum depression, it was very hard for her to even be near her infant child. Jeong on the other hand was sweet, and loving towards their little girl. He was a proud daddy, and didn't mind being the kind, nurturing parent for their baby. It was too much for Lily though, and she felt that her career should come first, not her daughter, so she left her husband and infant when Katia was only five months old. She divorced Jeong from afar, too ashamed of her actions to do so in person. Jeong granted her the divorce, seeing it as better for them to do this while their daughter was still unaware. Lily promised to stay out of their lives, not something Jeong asked her to do, but she felt that she should do because of her own selfishness. Jeong decided that his whole focus, and world, would be Katia, no matter who or what else came into his life from that point on. Katia was a baby that demanded attention and love, she thrived on attention and her daddy didn't mind giving it to her one bit.
Katia was around eight years old when she met her future bff. Katia had just transferred schools, and didn't know a soul. It was a bit intimidating, though you wouldn't know it, because Katia pretended very well. She sat down at one of the art tables the second day of school, by herself. Katia thought that she'd be the only one at the table, but another little girl sat beside her and noticed that Katia didn't have any sort of medium to work with. So she offered Katia use of her crayons, this offer of kindness is what started what would be a wonderful friendship. The little girls went on from sharing crayons to sharing pudding, swings, and baby dolls. They started having playdates soon after and that turned into sleepovers any weekend their families would allow. Jeong was a bit reserved with the friendship at first, but once he saw how well the girls clicked, and noticed that they were good for each other, he was a bit more lax about letting his only daughter going off with her friend Anais. Their childhood was full of sleepovers, candy, playgrounds, and playing fashion runway. Katia has wanted to be a model since she was a little girl, her dad has kind of tried to dishearten her from such a career, just because he knows its a dangerous one for a little girl and her own image. His attempts at trying to redirect her however only made her want it more.
Their teen years have been spent, mostly wisely. There have been incidences that could've gone better, but the pair have been through quite a bit together, and never have left each other behind. Some of their comrades have complained of their closeness, but it doesn't faze the two best friends, they're going to stick together till the end. Katia often says that they'll be old and wheel chairing it together as well. Upon graduation Katia's dad tried to get her to go to University, but she refused, saying that she wanted to get into the model business instead. He tried to explain she could major in fashion, but she ignored her dads pleas and went and applied at several stores. She got her first job and saved up money to get her own flat, which she did, on her own. It's small and not very impressive in her dads eyes, but he's just overprotective, its perfect for a young girl just starting out. Up until lately she's worked at a few low end clothes stores, but a new, high end, boutique opened up and she applied. It's owned by the well-known Celeste McCloud, Katia applied, interviewed and personally spoke with Mrs. McCloud, she was hired a week after applying. Katia has seen this as her chance to really get into the business she's been striving for. A couple of things happened after she got the job though, that has upset her mojo. First of all, she walked in on her long time boyfriend, Danny, sleeping with a friend of Katia's. So that was a hit in the gut, and it hurt Katia a lot, because she thought he was the one, she was head over heels in love with the boy. While she was crying over him and really upset, Anais comforted her, and the two were talking and trying to figure it all out. That's when the second shock of her life happened, they kissed. Anais, her long time best friend, and Katia, kissed, it was one time and something not planned. It's left both friends confused and thoroughly flabbergasted at their own actions. Katia doesn't know where this puts them, or herself really, but she's ready to talk it out with Anais and figure things out.Relationships✿Dad, Jeong Chang

× × × ( t ) he tale of her parents meeting is one that little Anais never got tired of, a story she would listen to over and over again. To her, it sounded like fate, as if cupids arrow had shot all the way across the continent just to bring them together. Her parents, while they doubted any cupid had been involved, agreed wholeheartedly on the fate thing. Anais's father, Enzi, met his wife-to-be, Manon, on a trip to Paris when he been an aspiring business man in Kenya. She had lived here her entire life and it was by pure chance that she ran into him at the Eiffel Tower. Sparks flew and from there... Well, the rest is history. It was a few years later until Anais Lilou Furaha was born, their only child and darling princess. And boy did Anais soak that role up. She enjoyed being the only babe and adored having her all of her parent's attention. The other thing Anais loved about her life was the diversity. Her father was a man from Kenya who slowly worked his way up; her mother is well brought up French girl. This particular blend of cultures was certainly something unique, something special.
( a ) ll in all, Anais was an easy baby. She was honest and intelligent, a little girl who was probably a little too smart for her own good. Growing up was relatively easy on Anais and on her parents, who were thankful to have such a wonderful daughter. And then school started. Unlike most kids her age, Anais loved school. Learning was her passion and she thrived in such an atmosphere. Unfortunately, though, she didn't have many friends. Being very blunt drove some of the kids away and most found her strange because of her enthusiasm over her addition worksheets. At least, that's how it was until third grade, when the new girl, Katia, came in. Anais noticed how lonely she looked, the crayon-less girl without anyone to talk to. She didn't like seeing someone like that -- she knew all to well what it felt like to sit alone -- and marched over to her, offering the girl her crayons. And from that moment on, the two would be inseparable, opposite halves of the same coin. Anais and Katia however, despite their closeness, were very different. Anais had always been the focused one, the one who analyzed and thought everything through. Katia, on the other hand, was spontaneous, someone who thrived in the limelight. But it was this, their differences, that made them so close. They balanced each other.
( m ) ost would have thought that these two would lose touch after high-school, each one heading in a different direction. After all, Katia wanted to be a model and Anais was heading off to law school. That didn't matter, however. Yes, it was true that they saw less of each-other, but they never lost touch. Anais couldn't imagine Katia being completely erased from her life, no matter how different the paths they were travelling. And then the unspeakable happened: Katia was cheated on. Anais was outraged. How dare he hurt such a beautiful and wonderful girl, a woman who was too good for him in the first place? Anais told Katia this and held her as she cried. It was during this time, when emotions were high and Katia only had Anais to hold on to that it happened. That they kissed. It wasn't a wet, sloppy french, but it was a little more than a friendly peck. To say it confused Anais would be an understatement. She had always been so sure of everything in her life and now, for the first time in a long time, she was questioning some things. ──────────────────────────────────────────“Best way to not get your heart broken is topretend you don't have one.”
Cecily had always had a sort of sweetness around her as a child; she had always wanted her father to be proud of her, despite everything he had done. None of that ever went away as she grew up, instead, a protective wall was built up slowly, keeping her from truly getting hurt. But it was all just a lie; fake. Cecy rarely cries, but when she does, it's over more than the thing that finally broke her wall down. She's never cried in front of anyone before, excluding the time her father hit her when she was nine. But other than that, Cecy has kept it in and pretended to be some tough, sarcastic girl that knows everything. The only person that has ever known Cecy's sweetness was Kylie, but even he doesn't know everything about her and what she truly is like. Including that Cecy is terrified. Terrified Kylie will leave her in the streets. Terrified her father will find her. Terrified she'll be stuck with that stupid crush on him forever, and he'll just meet someone else. Why tell someone something if you have almost 99% chance of rejection when you could just act as if nothing ever bothers you?
"So you want to hear about my life, huh? That was probably the stupidest thing you'll ever ask for. There's nothing special about me; just a story about heartache and abuse. But I guess I can ruin you're day...
Before my story even begins, you should know about my parents. That's where everything begins, anyway. Charlotte Fray and Henry Acosta, two young adults who had barely even begun their lives. They met at some stupid park. Some call it romantic; "love at first sight". I'm one of those people. I truly believe they loved each other from that moment on, but you might begin questioning that later on in the story. Charlotte was only 20 at the time; a tiny woman with black hair and eyes almost as dark. Henry, 22 when they met, was practically the opposite. Almost a foot taller, bright blue eyes and strawberry blonde hair. It was a classic love story really; love at first sight. All I know about that day was that they talked for hours on end, about anything and everything. By the time the sun had set, they were just realizing it, and finally left. They began dating a week later, and it was less than a year later Henry proposed to my mom. The wedding was in the same park they had met, that spring. They had been ecstatic, running back to our tiny little home together. I didn't come for a few years, no, my parents spent 7 years traveling as much as they could with only a small bit of money they both had saved up. My mom was 27 and my dad 29 when they learned about me for the first time.
The day I arrived was a surprisingly chilly August day, late in the month. Everyone was going on with their business outside of our home. The only people there were my father, mother, and the midwife. Births are normally great, right? Something to celebrate? Well, not for me. My birthday was my mother's death day. She died in childbirth, which is the only thing I've ever wished I could change. Ever. If my mother had lived, we would've been a perfect, loving family just like everyone had known my parents would have one day. But that couldn't happen, because for whatever reason, fate was completely against me in this game of life. I was obviously a mix between both of my parents; my father's eyes and my mother's height and hair. Most people adapt to one or even both of their parents' personalities, but I couldn't. My mother was dead and my father -no, Henry- had practically abandoned me. How could I learn to be like him -though I never would want to be- if he ignored me 24/7? The first few hours of my life, he had lfet me and cried over his dead wife, and the next morning he was finally back from the park where they had met. He cried over me too, as if he actually cared for once, naming me my mother's mother's name -Cecily.
Most of my childhood was spent either alone, at school, or being dragged to the park with my father, though all we did there was absolutely nothing. I wasn't allowed any friends; no, that wasn't possible. I was either stuck in a small home with my drunk father or sitting in a park with my grieving father; there was no escape at school. Everyone disliked me, probably because I always spoke my mind. Sure, I might've even be considered one of the "bad girls" by many of the kids my age, if that helps you visualize things. Other than no interaction with people who could ptentially care about me later on, I didn't mind the park, really. It was kind of interesting to know my mother loved that place too, it was one of the only things I had from her. That, and a small locket. Nothing was inside, but it had been her's. I had found in my father's book when I was nine. I took it and put it on, just to try it. It just happened that he had come home from a particularly bad day -which in his case was that he was drunk enough to be raging mad about it, but not enough to pass out and leave me alone like usual. It was the first time he'd ever hit me, but still. I was a little kid. I didn't know better, I wanted something of my mother's! But no, for all of those years, he had been selfish and kept it to himself. I started crying, because what else would you expect a girl who just wanted her father to be proud of her to do? I cried and he yelled at me; said I needed to quit crying and suck it up, I couldn't have any part of my mother and that was that. I went into my tiny bedroom and cried myself to sleep, and not for the last time.
After that night, I didn't want him to be proud of me. I didn't want his praise, for him to tell me what a good job I did. I wanted to show him I wasn't weak. That he couldn't make me hurt, though he already knew he had and continued. He'd yell at me whenever I basically showed up in the same room as him; smack me for no reason so hard large bruises appeared and stayed for weeks. I finally snuck out of the house for the first time at 12; one of the best decisions of my life. I didn't really know where to go, I mean, it was the first I'd ever been out of the house alone. So that night I kind of just walked around, not going anywhere in particular. I kept circling back, so I would remember how to get back. That was probably not such a good idea on my account. My father had apparently come after me, stomping his way through the dark streets filled with puddles. I didn't know, of course, so I just kept walking, stoping occasionally to remember the streets I had to take back. But I had been too slow. He caught me rather quickly, taking my arm back and literally dragging me back to our house, yelling and swearing at me the whole way. He threw me into the bathroom, since that was the only room that could lock from outside (though I never understood that, but that's a whole different story). Anyway, I was shivering on the tiles; cold, crying, wet, and bruised. Blah blah stuff happened, it isn't anything new. He basically just screamed and barged in when I dared to turned on the shower to wash off a few hours later. My life was torture like this for the next 4 years. The more I went out, the worse he was to me. It started with just hitting, sometimes throwing the few books of an education I had around the room, until I couldn't even read them anymore. But it got so much worse. He began throwing things at me, along with swearing and hitting and kicking me until sometimes it hurt to move at all. By the time I was 16, I had had more broken bones and emotional scars than at least 10 people combined have in a life time. Then, I finally got a break; I had met someone who helped me not have to cry myself to sleep every night.
Kylie, was his name.
My best friend. I had snuck out again, despite my father's precautions. I had been doing it for four years, why stop now? I had been running down my street, as I always did, just in case he had somehow decided he cared enough to follow me for once. Instead, I ran right into Kylie after I had quickly looked behind my shoulder. I both love and hate myself for not looking where I was going that night. He completely changed my world; ugh, but don't make it seem like this was some fairytale love at first sight thing. My parents had it; I didn't. But Kylie definitely changed my life. I left the house more and more, since everything was getting worse. My father had been earning barely any money, and any he did earn was spent on alcohol, gambling, or a small amount of food for himself. Nothing for me. He didn't even pay any house bills; the water was shut off, even the electricity was shut off. I had been just barely making it, up until then, with Kylie's help. But after the water and electricity was gone, I had made my decision. I couldn't let my father destroy my entire future like this; not anymore. I told Kylie, and within the week, I was gone.
"So that's my story. Hope you loved hearing about my tragedies; how it comforts me so that the human race finds entertainment in other people's misfortune."

Many people say that Tempest's name could not be more accurate. She's a storm, she's a hurricane, she's the lightning that strikes the tree in your backyard when you least expect it (true story-but that's for another time). Tempest could best be described as stubborn, hotheaded, and generally angry about something. Yes, she is definitely an angry type of person. Tempest stands up for what she believes in, no matter what. If you manage not to do something bad, she'll be your friend for life (note that-friend. Tempest is entirely uninterested in romantic relationships). She's incredibly loyal and protective over people she cares for.
Tempest was born in the tiny little French town of Colmar. Her parents owned a successful cafe next to one of the town's many canals. They were simple people, with no ambition to expand their business or make more money. Tempest resented them for this since the day she understood money. She was easily bored by anything in France until her parents took her to Paris. She was enchanted by the busy streets filled with actual natives, not just tourists. Her parents were born in Paris, so to them, it had all been seen and done. What they didn't understand was that Tempest felt that way about Colmar.
Tempest's infatuation with Paris flourished while she was growing up. She read all the material her library had to offer on the topic of the city. She made her own maps and drew her own pictures of the great sites. Tempest continually begged her parents for another, longer trip to Paris, but they refused. Paris is a city of the past, her mother had said. Everything is historical. Why would you care about a bunch of old stuff? It simply made Tempest angry, seeing as everything in Colmar looked straight out of a medieval fairytale.
When Tempest was 14 years old, tragedy struck her family. Her father had flown to London for his uncle's funeral (obviously, Tempest and her mother weren't invited), and the plane crashed over the English Channel. HIs body was never found. Tempest's mother started to go just a little bit crazy. She spent every day after the funeral sitting in her bed staring at the ceiling until the day she got up. Her mother forced Tempest to pack all of her things into some boxes-they were moving.
At first, Tempest was excited. They were going to move to Paris! It made sense, after all, as her grandparents had an apartment with an extra room. No, they were going someplace much, much different. Tempest's mother was moving them to Mont-Louis. In case you didn't know, Mont-Louis has a population of 297. The only thing going for it is that the world's first solar furnace was built there. Other than that, there was literally nothing to do. Tempest was understandably furious.
Because it was all so boring, Tempest made sure she would leave Mont-Louis as soon as possible. Obviously, dropping out of school wasn't an option. Tempest was going to go to an actual university (Paris had many of those). Still, the only way to get to one was to sit through the difficult tests and pass. Tempest studied as much as humanly possible for the Baccalauréat and, thankfully, passed. She chose to attend public university in Paris. That summer, Tempest moved to Paris as she'd always dreamed.────────────── what does my mother know? ──────────────

Coco has always been a very healthy individual, her mother has always insisted on non processed foods, organic fruits and vegetables, natural meat, that sort of thing. So she loves fresh fruit for breakfast, and as snacks. Especially if they're made into smoothies, healthy eating isn't just her moms choice, its hers as well. She also likes to stay fit by practicing yoga, not only for her body but for her mind as well. Her mom can be a bit overwhelming so the yoga helps her keep a calm mind as well as toning her body. Coco has been very secluded her entire life, her mother is slightly over protective and doesn't allow her daughter to do much on her own, once in a while though when friends are visiting, she'll allow Coco to go shopping. When she does Coco is ecstatic, not really because she gets to spend money but because she gets to get out and be around people. Of course picking out a few things that her mother didn't pick out is always nice. She also loves being at the beach, picking up seashells, collecting sharks teeth, playing in the waves, fishing, or just lounging around, she doesn't care, the beach is her 'spot'. She also enjoys long walks, away from her family, away from her body guards, and other people, just long walks where she can get her mind straight and let everything settle. Thor, her Briard, sometimes accompanies her on these walks. The long haired dog is her constant companion, the one allowance her mother had no choice in. Her father brought him home for her a couple of years ago, and he's been by her side ever since. He even travels with her most of the time, she doesn't let him be alone often.

Coco has had such a unique life, her mother is soooo protective. SO something that has gone on in Coco's life a lot is that she's been kept home, mostly indoors during the tourist season. She hates being cooped up, she has an adventurous spirit but her mom has never let her be natural self. She's like some porcelien doll that has to be kept on a shelf and is never allowed to do anything. Once in a while her parents will host small parties for their favorite clients, and Coco is allowed to attend one party a year, the charity party for the childrens fund in Spain. Coco isn't so big on the parties though, most people would think she would be considering her situation, but there's always old bachelors at the parties and they give Coco leering looks. Looks that send goosbumps across her arms, and makes the hair on the back of her neck stand up. Its not a pretty picture, or something she enjoys. Her parents have told her all of her life that she's in danger of being kidnapped, that's why they keep her cooped up, and away from people. Because of the stories they've told her Coco has nightmares of being kidnapped and sometimes even killed, she hates these recurring dreams. That's not the only thing that bothers her though, she also has two bodyguards assigned to her, and they are a pain to get rid of. Unless her mother commands it they stay close to her 24/7. It took her forever to convince her mother that is was just plain creepy to have them watching her while she slept. The only thing she hates more than them is sharks, she saw a childhood friend get torn apart by one when she was little. She also finds it terrible that she doesn't know Jennifer Lawrence personally, she's her role model, she loves Jennifers attitude, sass, and love that she has for life.

⇼Early childhood⇼
Freda and Amistad Castillo were told they could not have children, it was a devastating day for the couple. Freda had always wanted a child, as well as Amistad. Since they had no plans on having children they started their own business. The couple lived in Nerja, Spain, a few hours away from where Freda had been raised her whole life. They advised companies on their financial decisions, as well as helped run several charities. The power couple became famous quickly, and found many enemies because they made sure to deviate their clients from working with shady businesses. It was only five years into their marriage when a miracle happened, Freda became pregnant. She'd been sick for two weeks straight, Amistad finally talked her into going and getting a checkup, the doctor asked her symptoms and had Freda pee in a cup. Sure enough she was expecting, she was nervous and excited over it all. Her husband felt the same way, the reason being, they had enemies. Their jobs required a lot of time from them, and they weren't sure that was the best situation to bring a baby into. They decided quickly that they would figure it all out, the miracle baby was something they couldn't ignore. Freda was put on bed rest until after Coco was born. She wasn't happy with the doctors orders, but she wouldn't risk her daughters health either.
Coco was born a short 7 months later, she weighed in at a whopping 6 lb, 3 oz. Her eyes were electric blue, she had a head full of dark, curly hair, and her cheeks were just oh so pinchable. She had her daddy wrapped around her pink from her first smile. Her mother was in love with their little Spanish princess, she also felt a fierce protectiveness over the infant child, one that she'd never felt for anyone before. Amistad understood his wife's fears, he just hoped that his wife wouldn't end up smothering their gorgeous daughter. They took the baby home the next day, a nursery was all setup, attached to their own personal rooms. It was beautiful with its pastel colors, hand crafted furniture, hand made toys, all for Coco. The baby settled in rather comfortably, Freda kept the baby with her at all times really. They didn't hire a nanny, instead Freda would put her in a baby sling and carry her with her into meetings and anywhere she needed to go. If someone had a problem with it Freda would inform them that she was bonding with Coco and no one, NO ONE, was going to take that away from her, whether it be a client or investor. She would not give up the time she was spending with her daughter that first year.
When Coco began toddling around, getting curious about the world around her, Freda was forced to hire a nanny finally. She didn't hire just anyone though, she hired her Auntie, and had her move in. The 50 year old woman was more than happy to move in and help her niece, she had no children of her own, and looked forward to looking after little Coco. Freda was very controlling when it came to her daughter, but her Auntie helped her ease up just a little bit, she was allowed to take the toddler to the market, and sometimes she was allowed to even take her to some of the caves in the area. Amistad was happy to see his daughter being allowed to get out and about, he really didn't think it was healthy for his daughter to have to be home constantly, of course he wanted his marriage to be healthy as well, so he usually let his wife get what she wanted. Her Auntie unfortunately had to leave for chemo therapy a short two years later, so Coco was left with her mother once more. By this time she was old enough to start school though, so her mother hired a tutor and a part time nanny, a cousin. Still someone in the family, someone she could trust and be sure of that they would follow her strict guidelines and food rules.

⇼Adolescence⇼
Coco was nine years old when she finally asked her mother why she couldn't go anywhere. Her best friend, Emilia, was going to Rome for a weekend, and her parents offered to pay for Coco to go along with them. It wouldn't cost her parents a dime, her daddy was all for it, but her mommy was against it. Freda wasn't happy that her daughter was questioning her authority, at least she felt like that was what Coco was doing by asking her that question. Thus began the story telling of the kidnapping, and possibly death being a possiblity. Coco basically didn't ask again about why her mother was so strict, she didn't want to die, or to be kidnapped and abused by strange men. She spent her days running around the house, reading books, learning from her tutor, and playing with her toys, using her imagination. It wasn't easy for a child to stay cooped up indoors, or in just the backyard, she wanted to get out and do things. So her mother assigned her body guards for her 11th birthday. At first Coco was confused, she didnt' see them as anything to be happy about, then her mother informed her that they meant she could go to the beach just below their villa, as long as they were with her. She wouldn't have to wait for her parents to find the time to take her to the beach, as soon as her studies were done that day she could just take off down to the sand and water, as long as the burly men tagged along. Coco gave her mother a big hug and kiss, this was the best present she'd ever received from her mother. She was more than ecstatic.
The years passed and Coco was soon turning 15, she was getting more and more bold about going off on her own. At first it started with just sneaking away to the beach by herself, it was just below her parents home, so it wasn't like she was far, but she did it without her body guards. Her mother was furious with her the first time she caught her, she gave her daughter a stern talkign to, and thought the matter was settled. Only it wasn't. The more she saw Emilia going on trips, and being allowed to do as she pleased, the more she felt herself wanting more. To be out doing things, to be able to just walk down to the market on her own if she felt like it. She didn't need to travel the world, but she wanted to at least be allowed to get out and around their small city. Of course her mother would have none of it, and Coco respected her parents too much to rebel too much. So she snuck away at night, to take long walks away from the house, but sticking to the beach. Little did she know, but her father knew of her sneaking out, and that's when Thor entered her life. She was sixteen and her father brought home the ragamuffin looking puppy, he figured if she was going to be out then she would have someone with her, even if it was a dog. When Coco was sleeping, he had a trainer training Thor a few hours a night, he was being trained to attack someone if they ever tried to harm his precious daughter. It was the one stipulation his wife had had about getting the dog, and he'd agreed. Thor became attached to Coco's hip quite quickly, he slept on her bed, watched as she did yoga in the morning, went running with her in the afternoons down on the beach. Played in the water with her, snuck out at night with her, and even stood guard when she bathed. The two were were like bread and butter, her parents thought it was a very smart decision to get her an animal she could connect with. They just hoped he lived a good long time, because she was going to be heart broken when he passed...

⇼Young Adult⇼
In America 17 is the age that kids are allowed to move out, go to college, do their own thing. Not in Spain. No, at least not with Coco's family. Her parents were allowed to pick her spouse, and keep her home until they felt she was ready to go out into the world. Of course her over protective mother was nowhere near letting her go out or do anything. But Coco insisted that she be allowed to go shopping and to go to the market, she didn't care if the shadows(bodyguards), went with her, but she needed to get out before she went insane. When Coco mentioned possibly losing her sanity Freda finally caved, and she actually began speaking with her husband about sending Coco somewhere. Somewhere where she could stay with a family member and get a taste of the world. Of course Amistad agreed whole heartedly, he thought it would be very good for their daughter to get out and away. He would miss her, but he knew that this would be a wonderful experience for her. So they began discussing possibilities, they had a lot of extended family all over the world. The only one that they both agreed on was Amistad's brother Emilio, he was living in Paris, France. He had a daughter as well, and a wife, but their daughter was off in military boot camp or something, so they had an empty room. Amistad called his brother up and asked him first, before mentioning anything about it to Coco. His brother and sister in law were ecstatic about having their niece stay with them for a year or so, Amistad and Freda explained that they would visit as often as possible, and that her bodyguards would be coming as well. But they would stay in a private apartment close by, they would never expect them to house them. They weren't thrilled about bodyguards, nor did they see the reasoning for them, but they agreed to it all, they both thought it would be good to get their niece out and away from her slightly neurotic parents. Coco would be going to the American school of Paris while she was there as well. Which allowed her to stay as long as she was in school, but she had to renew a student visa every year, and provide proof that she was enrolled in school. She was allowed to take summers and holidays like anyone else, but she had to attend fall and spring semesters.
Coco was informed of everything a few weeks before the summer, she couldn't believe anything her parents said at first. She thought it was all a big, cruel, horrible joke, something to get her hopes up just to shoot them down. But her parents both asked when either of them had ever lied to her, they had a point. They were usually very honest with Coco. She started letting herself feel excited after that, excited and a bit nervous. She'd never really been in the real world, and she wondered if people would think of her as a freak because of her secluded lifestyle. Her mother reassured her that it would be fine, she would be the exotic beauty that everyone would be interested in, and she also fully believed her daughter would excel at the school they were paying for her to go to. She was told that she would be getting a montly allowance as well, they weren't sure how much use it would be in France, but they would be giving her $3,000 a month, in US dollars. Plus they would be sending a montly amount to her Auntie and Uncle for taking her into their home. They told Coco to let them know if she needed more, they also told her about her trust fund. It would open up to her after her first six months of college. She would have half of it available, roughly $800,000. Honestly Coco wasn't even sure how much that was worth, but she knew it was a lot, she'd never had to worry much about money. Now though she would be learning what it meant to go shopping for her own clothes, and school supplies, as well as maybe what it would be like to go for a cup of coffee somewhere. She's very excited to start her new life, and she's also excited for Thor, he will of course, be going with her.

I would say to dance in the rain, but I'm just not sure if that will be possible the first day. I suppose it depends on the weather.

──────────────────────────────────────────Briar Rose Dubois, female, seventeen, student, heterosexual
──────────────────────────────────────────“We end up dreaminginstead of sleeping.”
× × × ( t ) hroughout all of Rose's seventeen years, she's never fully been accepted as completely "normal". Unique, yes. Confident, yes. Optimistic, hell yes. But the word normal has never been used to describe Rose. From the moment she could understand most things, Rose has always been interesting in everything artistic and unique; she's drawn to things "normal" people usually aren't. Despite theodd glances Rose occasionally recieves, she's awfully confident in everything she does. The three things you can find Rose being at about 99% of the time are bubbly, confident, and optimistic. She's perhaps the biggest optimist you'll ever meet. Optimism, feminism, and art are the biggest things in Rose's life. Not what anyone else things of her. Just what she wants to be, and who she is.
( t ) he story of Rose's parents has always been a favorite of hers. Classic fairytale, you could guess it yourself. Ever wondering why her name is Briar Rose? Well, know you know. This little Parisian girl was named after the famous Grimm and Disney princess, Briar Rose, also known as Sleeping Beauty. She was an only child, her parents only wishing to have one little princess to spoil. And the spoiling was certainly a wish, but it was one that never came true, and was soon dropped by the young couple. Rose recieved the things she needed, but it was always just that and nothing more. Being the optimistic girl she is, Rose always thought the best of what she did have; never lingered on the things she didn't, except for the one thing she wanted ever since she wandered into the geaography section of the library. To travel the world; to paint every lanscape, every building, every wonder she could.

Her mother approved of her learning these things because she said,"The Bronx is no place for a lady of such high class and standards." When she hit high school, she really didn't have to worry about people messing with her. All she had to worry about was school work and party. She didn't have to worry about clothes because her mother brought home clothes from the place that she worked.
Delilah has also been in the back of a police car three times. For
First Offense
Delilah had an archnemsis named Natalia and Natalia's father was a part of the Police Force. One day, Natalia and her crew decided to jump Delilah when she was walking home. She fought them, getting a couple of cuts and bruises along the way. When Natalia was done, her father arrived on the scene and blaimed Delilah for starting the fight, but one of Natalia's minions betrayed her by saying that Natalia indeed planned the fight. So Delilah was let go and Natalia grounded forever.
~Second Offense
Delilah, when she had made enough money from helping her mom around the store, she had bought an old 1966 Chevrolet SS 396 (view spoiler) that had been stolen and well she was taken in for questioning and well let go when they found the guy who sold it to her. Her mom bought her a brand new 1966 Chevrolet SS 396.
~Third Offense
Delilah had a boyfriend named Keith and Keith was the type of guy that would only date cheerleaders, but he made the exception for her. He thought of her as a pushover and went and cheated on her. What Keith didn't know is that she found out and well stuff happened(see Favorite Memory). Delilah spent a night in jail, but it was so damned worth it.
~A Death in The Family
At the age of 16, Delilah's father died of a sudden heart attack the summer of her junior year. The death was really hard on her since her and her father were really close. They came into a lot more money once her father had passed on because Delilah and her mother didn't know that her father had a secret fortune!Delilah finished school graduating a salutatorian at the age of 18 and her performance in school ended up in her receiving a letter to intern at Givenchy for 3 years. So, she packed up and flew out to Paris to enjoy the new life style she had. Delilah has a very nice apartment that is fully paid for by the company.
"But You know what they say about me, that girl is a problem." Problem;NK

"Ah lunch time, time to hang out with my boyfriend!" Delilah smiled and she walked down the aisle of the cafeteria like it was a runway. Li was dressed in the most fashionable clothes of the season and she sat at the table with her crew, some of which she couldn't stand, but she couldn't help but feel sorry for. She looked around for her favorite 'friend' at the moment Renee, but she wasn't there yet. "Have any of you guys seen Renee?" "Last time I checked she went to her locker,"One of the others said. Dammit what was her name? Maria? Oh well Delilah didn't care to remember because they didn't really talk. Her white Louis Vuitton purse vibrated and she took out her white cased iPhone and she looked at the picture and text on the screen from Renee. "Oh mai gawd Del, you'll never believe this! But Keith is cheating on you, with this ugly bitch!" The picture was of Keith, dressed in his usual bad boy attire, kissing the head of the Cheerleading squad: Minnie Valentino. "The fucker!" she slammed her phone down on the table, all the girls started asking questions and Delilah silenced them with a wave of her hand as Keith started to approach them. Delilah pasted a smile on her face. "Hey Babe," His deep baritone voice traveled through the air. "Hey," Delilah moves back as soon as he goes into kiss her. "I just had garlic for lunch...." Delilah lied,"I was just about to leave anyway," At this moment she picks up her glass of water and poured it on top of his head. "That's for cheating on me, you bastard!" She slammed the cup down on the table and she started to walk away.Delilah stops and looked over her shoulder, curly blonde locks falling down her face,"And that's only the beginning."Delilah looks forward and started strutting down the aisle again, her crew getting up to follow her. Before she completely exited the lunch room, she stopped by the Cheerleader table and she gave her the look of death before passing by and the cheerleaders all gasped and Del smiled at her. "You're going to pay for this you know! Do you know how much North Beach Leather Cost? Huh Bitch?" Keith shouted after her.
Delilah looked over her shoulder again,"No and quite frankly I don't care. And you calling me a bitch is a compliment so thank you," Delilah exited the cafeteria fuming but she wasn't going to cry, oh no. She got even. She happened to know that her boyfriend lived on his own so it wasn't going to be to hard to do what she needed to do.
Later that night, Delilah took the bus, dressed in all black, topped off with a mink coat that was from last season. She had a black duffle bag with her as well, full of all the things that she would need. Delilah thought about what she was going to do, and she decided that she definitely was not going to regret anything. The bus stopped and she noticed that it was where she needed to get off. "This is it," Taking a deep breath she stepped off and started walking down the street and turning the corner.
"Out of all the girls he could have chosen to cheat on me with, he chose that lowlife Minnie Valentino! He shouldn't have cheated on me in the first place!" Delilah shook her head and she saw her boyfriend's car. Delilah checked the address to make sure that it was the right house. She pulled out her iPod and put on Jazmine Sullivan's Bust Your Windows and started with her work. She put her duffel bag on hood of the Camaro and pulled out a crowbar, can of white spray paint and a lighter.
Delilah took a deep breath and picked up the white spray paint and started on the paintjob. She soon heard moans from coming inside the house. Great they were banging each other. Delilah started spraying the paint faster and when she was finished, returned to the hood and took the crow bar and broke the windows out and scratched the sides.
"You broke my heart, so I broke your car
You caused me pain, so I did the same
Even though what you did to me was much worse
I had to do something to make you hurt"
"Ain't that the damned truth...." Delilah thought to herself as she carved her initials into the hood. She pulled back, proud of her work and she replaced the can of paint and the crowbar in the bag and put the bag on the ground as she slid off her coat and took up the lighter. Delilah held the jacket out and lit it, throwing it on top of the the hood.
Delilah grabbed her bag and started walking away, a satisfied smirk on her face. Oh the thought of him seeing one of his most prized possessions ruined made her smile. On the car it said," You should feel lucky this is all I did." with her initials in scratched into the body of the car.
Delilah made it home, satisfied with what she had done. All that she had done she wouldn't regret it at all.
The next morning she woke up to a knocking on the door and she answered it, seeing a police officer there.
"Are you Delilah Baisch?"
"Yes officer, I am. What can I help you with?"
"You're going to have to come with me, you're under arrest," The officer told Delilah to follow him and she got in the back of the Police Car, not even fighting or trying to make a break for it. When they got down to the Station they asked her a whole bunch of questions on why she did it and she said," Simple. He broke my heart so I had to make him pay some kind of way." She had to spend one night in jail and then she was free to go.
When she returned to school, Delilah was the talk of the school and while she pushed guys away, some girls flocked to her and she realized that guys were men were dogs and that all they wanted was sex, while females really wanted a deeper relationship.
{Other}: Delilah likes to Party Hard. Do not approach her the wrong way cause she will slap you if you do. Delilah also owns a classic American Car a 1966 Chevrolet SS 396 in black ;)

❝Music is my one and only escape from the pathetic excuse for a reality I live.❞
Belle was born on the 25th of August, 18 years ago. Her sexual orientation is heterosexual. Although she has no real profession, she does enjoy writing, and hopes to one day write a book and have it published. She also adores music, and can't often be found without earplugs or headphones on her head, and an Ipod shuffle in her pocket. On top of this, she can also play the piano, quite well in fact as she's been playing it ever since she was a little kid. Belle can tend to be a bit of a neat freak from time to time, her own bedroom being completely spotless, and so chances are if you left her alone in a filthy room it'd be clean in 20 minutes. She's not very good with real people, and although she'll try and make friends at first, she'll usually end up giving up after her first few stupid mistakes, after which she'll make up an equally stupid excuse for having to go before she can embarrass herself further.
The most common words that Belle assosciates with herself are awkward, boring, and rich. And to be honest, she's not even especially proud of the rich part considering none of the money actually belongs to her, instead coming from her parents, both of which are well-known actors. Belle however has shown from an early age that her acting skills are limited at best, although her parents are still hopeful she can make a name for herself in music. But despite even her undeniable talent for anything musical, Belle still doesn't think much of herself, and has rather low self-esteem. Another undeniable talent of Belle's, the ability to embarrass herself in basically any given situation. Because of this, she tends to act kind of shyly around people for fear of making a fool of herself, but deep down she years for a friend and someone she can open up to.
For as long as Belle can remember, she's lived in Paris, France. Although, to be honest, she more remembered being inside of her family's apartment than actually outside. You see, Belle's parents were both very wealthy, and being entirely able to afford private tutors, they did. However, since they were often busy, they never really got much of a chance to spend time with their daughter, nor take her out anywhere. Not that Belle minded them being away. From her experience, they were always strict around her, and always expecting her to become famous like them. So yes, although the absence of parental figures for most of her childhood did have it's impact, Belle can't exactly say that she wished they were around more often. However, once Belle began trying out musical instruments at an early age, she finally found something her parents approved of about her. Plus, it was something she enjoyed. It was something that could soothe her when times were rough, and with both her tutors' and parents' harsh strictness, there many of those times. But Belle grew up well enough, despite having very little interaction with people her own age, and now, she's even daring to go out into the world on her own. Who knows, perhaps she could make the friends that her childhood lacked...?

{History}:
{early life}:
Lynn was born to a teenage couple in Ireland who were young and dumb and didn't really think about what they were doing. But when Lynn came into the world, they knew they had to grow up to take care of this baby if they wanted her to have a healthy and happy childhood and overall good life. So her father (who was only 18 at the time) got a job in a car shop and her mother decided to pursue her dreams of being a dancer. Nothing seemed like it could get any better for the little Lynn except for the birth of her sister a year after herself.
{adolescence}
With a loving family of six (her mother had two twins after she had Lynn and her sister) and living a comfortable life, everything felt like a dream to Lynn until War struck. Her father enlisted in the Military and he went to represent their country as a Humanitarian. Six years passed and Lynn had to grow up quicker than expected to help out with her mother with duties around the house. These duties included being able to get her little brothers and sister to school (while she herself got to school) and then helping Mother out with housework and occasionally working at her father's car shop to earn the family extra money.
One summer day her father came back from the war and Lynn was overjoyed, but when her father came back, he was did not bring good bearings. Lynn's family had to uproot themselves and move to a Military base in Italy. Far away from home and trying to get used to their new environment, this move was the starting domino in moving from bad to worst.
{young adulthood}
At the age of 14, Lynn and her family had a calm life and this life remained for the next two years until her 17th year. Her 17th year the war was still raging and due to the fact that her father knew so much about everything, the family had to split. The government took her family into the Witness Protection Program and half of her family was moved to New Mexico, the other half New York. Her father and herself and one of her little brothers were moved to New York and the other half was moved to New Mexico.
Lynn, in order to go through this tough time in her life, took up dancing as it was offered in her school. She grew to love it so much that she started her own crew and they would dance together. Before they graduated high school, the R.B.S (Lynn's Squad name), had a massive following of people on their Youtube channel and a World Jam Championship under their belt.
Travelling with her crew, they went underground for a while competing in dance competitions. Lynn decided that she needed a change of pace and she uprooted everything and went to France for a new culture and a new dance scene. Lynn mainly left because she wanted to bring back a new style of dance. Now she is living in an apartment near the heart of the city.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

↳ Chloe is a very kind soul, and has often been called an old soul, but that could easily be put down to all that she has lived through in her current life. She is a deeply religious person and does not believe in more than one life on Earth anyway, so she prefers to think of it as the world experience she has already gathered. From a young age, she was taught to be independent and to look after herself, so she rarely tends to rely on other people for support or assistance, no matter the reason. In saying that, Chloe knows how hard life can be, and tries to offer her own assistance whenever she can. Maybe an extra brownie to a customer here, taking over a shift there. She volunteers at soup kitchens as well as partakes in the donating of old clothes to charity shops. A huge part of her is a nerd, or a geek, or whatever you would like to call her. She can probably quote whole movie scenes to you if you prompt her to. Her little flat is filled with fandom related objects and retro kitchen items. The skills she has learned from work have seeped into other areas of her life as well, the icing she does on cakes meaning she has learned to draw through planning out the patterns. Food is her life, in many ways, but that is because she has never been able to do anything adventurous. She would love to travel and see the world, but, sadly, she has no one to do it with. Despite all of this, Chloe tends to have a positive, albeit cautious, attitude towards life, and will never be the kind of person to scowl over smiling at you in the street.

↳ Ever since she was little, Chloe can remember her mum being unwell. She knew medical words before she knew the names of most exotic animals. Whether or not she could pronounce them is beside the point. Because of this, and because her mum was raising her alone, Chloe was taught to handle the house from an early age. Life lessons were given years because they should have been. But Chloe understands why, even if the fact is fact. Her mum could die. Her mum could have died before she was taught all of the valuable things she needed to know. She had been grateful for her mother's foresight and has lived to try and make her mother proud of her. Her school grades are good, though she struggles with maths and science, and she already has a part time job at a bakery. She makes the bread and cakes, and knows how to decorate them, too. With her mum now in the hospital full time to receive chemotherapy, Chloe lives on her own, her mother's belongings put in boxes in the cupboards. She is holding onto hope that her mother will get better and will one day return to their little flat to unpack them with her, so they can reminisce together, and be a family once more.

---------------~History~---------------
Marie is descended from Maria Nikolaevna(1899-1987), grand duchess of Russia, who survived the rest of her family. She fled to Harbin, China where, in 1919, she married Prince Yuri Naryshkin (1896-1978), another exiled aristocrat, and had their son, Evgeni (1920-1979), and daughters Natalya (1922-) and Tamara (1926-). Evgeni married Elena Galitzina (1923-2014) in San Francisco and had one son, Andrew (1969-, Marie-Catherine's father. Evgeni worked at a bookstore until his early death from lung cancer in 1979. Elena went on to raise Andrew and his adopted sister Anna. Andrew married Alyssa Leung in 1996 and had Marie-Catherine in 1999, a hundred years after Maria's birth.

Natalya and Tamara went to Paris as teenagers to pursue careers with the Ballets Russes de Monte Carlo. Tamara settled in London after retiring at thirty and married John Harper and had a son, Anthony (1971-). She still teaches children at the Royal Ballet School. Anthony married Hlengiwe Mchunu (1973-) in 1998, having one daughter, Elizabeth (2001-, in Warrior Princess Academy), and a son, Edward (2004-). Natalya, meanwhile, met Estonian refugee Albert Kelam in New York, where they had two children, Helena, and Anne.
Marie herself has lived a quiet life as the daughter of a lawyer and librarian in an upper-middle-class, trouble-free smartphone-addicted suburb where everybody minds their own business. She has gotten good grades, has never been truly humiliated, but has never been close to popular. She has come to Paris over her summer and hopes to get a whole load of extra credit from her French teacher next year by taking video diaries. If she doesn't get the points, it doesn't really matter though, because she'll still have a lot of fun experiencing a new country.
Name: Kendra Sorenson
Age: 15
Gender: Female
{Strengths}
{Weaknesses}
Appearance:
Personality: Kendra is very apologetic. She's a kleptomaniac. She'll steal something and then not be able to put it back, for fear of being ashamed when someone discovers her crime. When people find out, they don’t necessarily want to be her friend very much. Kendra is rather meek and sweet, but always has some sort of hesitation in her eyes, like if she says the wrong thing, she’ll be beaten within an inch of her life. Under the sweetness, though, if she likes you very much –or hates you very much- she has an insurmountable level of snarky sass. It takes a lot of annoyance –or love- for her to reveal this part of her. Most of the time, she’ll bite her lip and hold in whatever ‘clever’ remark she could have made, because of habit that has been beaten into her skin.
Family: Unknown!
Mother: Abandoned her!
Father: Abandoned her!
Sisters: Unknown!
Brothers: Unknown!
History: Kendra was abandoned by her impish mother –who had fooled about too much with a particular man. Someone found the child in a dumpster, howling and screaming, as if the wind would rip apart the world. The baby was put into a Russian Orphanage, where she was taught both Russian and English, and had basic arithmetic and history railed into her skull. The place wasn’t inhumane, and Kendra was used to its comforts and discomforts. At the age of seven, her kleptomania set in. Things started going missing. Papers. Pencils. Notebooks. Sometimes some money. Sometimes a stuffed animal. Police were called at one point and every kid was frightened of being accused, most of all Kendra, who was really freaked out. She threw everything into the back yard when no one was looking, diverting attention from herself... But she secretly confessed to one of the teachers. For a week after, directly, she received nightmares. It seemed like hundreds of them every night, of being jailed or executed because of her crimes. The teacher hadn't understood her illness, hadn't understood that she couldn't help it. And she'd promised to turn her in the next time it happened! She couldn’t eat, couldn’t sleep, jumped at every sound, and cried a lot. She had been a little kid, after all. She ran away after waking up to find another theft under her pillow. Kendra lived on the streets, and was nearly frozen, half to death. Then HE showed up. He carried her like his own little kid and warmed her up in his pile of children. She felt like she owed him, and eagerly wanted to obey him, which he demanded in return for his hospitality. The Thief Lord's first few commandments were that she was never to reveal anything about him in any way. The next was that she could never run away, or he'd never take her back in, or worse, kill her if he found her. He added more guidelines, about theft, about silence, about everything. Whenever she inconvenienced him, the Thief Lord would cut her rations, or especially target her for a beating. It wasn't often, because she was rather good at theft, but he constantly punished her for not stealing more, for not stealing enough, insisting that she should be clever enough, that she was weak, and that he would hang her up by the neck and beat her like a pinyata if she failed him again. He never did, but his words inspired terror in everyone and anyone. Once, when she failed a heist that had been particularly dear to the Thief Lord, she ran rather than face the beatings and perhaps the death that would await her failure. She got on a railway train and curled up in a stolen comforter on the trip all the way to France. She woke up in a strange new world and scrambled off the train. It was way warmer, here! So she lives how she can off the street and with what she can. But she doesn't trust any of the bigger people! They only use kids to make themselves feel good.
The Thief Lord is part of a criminal society. The various branches each have a ringleader who assumes the title 'Thief Lord' and keeps his/her name completely hidden. There are multiple branches and many lords. For clarification, Misha and Kendra are from different branches and have never met.

brief overview: There's something about having the luxury of spinning a globe and interrupting its trajectory with your finger to choose your next travel destination that's just so incredibly satisfying. Ellie is one of those lucky people; with two wealthy parents on the verge of retirement, one soul sister, and the entire fucking world in the palm of her hands, who would be foolish enough not to take full advantage of the opportunity? If it wasn't clear, Ellie has an insatiable thirst for travel. And, sure, part of it has to do with the bragging rights that come with coasting the seven seas, but a lot of it has to do with the fact she just can't seem to get over everything the world has to offer. From the food to the people to the diverse and infinite styles of clothing, there's just so much to see and way too many timezones.
This is her third time visiting Paris, but the first time she isn't tied down to the mandatory accompaniment of mommy and daddy dearest, and she's going to make the damn best of this trip.

「To some people love is like a sign of victory, like a medal or trophy, they like to use to boast about. To some people love is a process of waiting endlessly for the other person with all their heart. To that woman love is a secret that can’t be exposed to others, not even to herself❝A Remembrance ❞
Everly was born in a womans shelter in the country, it wasn't a clean place, or a quiet place. Everly's cries were not the only in the building, and her mother wasn't the only one being cleaned up with used cloth's and dirty water. Her mother barely survived the birth, it was pure luck that she didn't die of bacteria, or a disease that was lingering in the soiled conditions of the home. Everly's mother gathered her up, only days old, and walked toward Paris, it had to be better than where she'd just been, right?
Work was scarce for a woman with no degree, and little basic education. Everly's mother found a job as a waitress in a rundown shack of a bar, but it barely paid, and there were more hands on her parts than putting money in her pockets. She found herself 'owing' men, in turn they gave her and her baby room and board. She would not put her daughter's life at risk, or so she told herself, she convinced herself that what she was doing was what was best for Everly.
Everly was five the first time her mom disappeared for more than a few hours, she was gone for two full days, leaving Everly locked in a small room, with food and water, enough to last until she got back. The ordeal terrified Everly, and her mom seemed apologetic when she returned, but she did something of the same thing only days later. Everly learned quickly how to get out of the house, she also learned how to beg and steal to get what she needed and wanted, when her mother disappeared. She managed to stay under the radar for the most part, not getting caught, or wrapped up in any of her moms shenanigans, but when she turned ten, her mom disappeared, and never returned. Everly waited in the small room they rented until the man in charge kicked her to the streets. He had offered her a deal to keep the room, but Everly had quickly declined, it made her wonder what the deal had been between her mother and the man originally. Everly began sleeping beneath boxes, under bridges, and occasionally in a church pew. She would fall asleep for quick moments on the Tube, or in buses, until she was kicked off. She stole food, clothing, and necessities, she fought with her fists when it came to others trying to steal from her, or trying to intimidate her. Sometimes she won some, and then she lost some.
Up until the past year she's been on her own, with minimal incidences that were beyond anything she could control, either because the person was stronger, or because she was held at knife point. She happened upon a boy, one older than she, who took her in at an orphanage. At first she resisted, convinced that she would be in the system and sent to some nut house, or foster family that would only abuse her and use her. He showed her something different though, the boy actually ran the orphanage, making sure that everyone was safe, slept on a cot, at the least, and ate one meal a day, if not more. Everly is just starting to trust again, and can't believe the luck she's found. Though she still goes to the streets to beg, borrow, and steal, she has a home to return to, and she's thankful for that.Relationships

≡ [ Yvette dresses fairly casually - she's a big fan of comfort. Most often, she's in shorts and some sort of loose top, probably with an inspirational quote or floral pattern on it. She loves her sneakers when she's outdoors, but she also loves to run around barefoot or in stockings. Knee-high socks are one of her favorite things, along with a red lip and big blonde curls. If she's performing, Yvette prefers a dark-colored jumpsuit; still loose enough for comfort, but usually dressy enough for a jazz lounge or upscale cafe. ]

≡ [ Yvette is like an open book, even though it's more common to find her with a guitar or a xylophone in hand rather than a novel. Easygoing and constantly relaxed, Yvette's motto is to "go with the flow. If there is no flow, just chill until the flow finds you." Yvette isn't afraid of change, and welcomes it with a smile and a "really neat" riff on her electric guitar. Yvette believes that everyone is entitled to their own opinions and perspectives, so she doesn't care how people see her, and how she sees them. Most see her as some carefree flower child, which is true for the most part, so she doesn't try to change that. If you start a conversation with her, she won't blurt out her opinions without you specifically asking for them. She's never constantly lost in her own world, though; she's always listening, but only pitches in when she wants to. Yvette is also claustrophobic, so she prefers outdoor spaces or at least larger rooms. Never athletic but just wanting to enjoy the sunshine and breeze, Yvette has never played in a sport, nor has she ever wanted to. All she needs is a sunny day and music in her ears. ]

≡ [ Yvette had a fairly simple, music-filled childhood growing up in Kosovo. Her father was a saxophonist in a local jazz lounge, and her mother stayed at home with Yvette for most of her childhood. Living off of one income was difficult at times for the parents, but most of these periods took place so early in Yvette's life that she doesn't remember what it's like to not have everything you need. The family never had a lot - the essentials were there, as were some handmade quilts from Yvette's mother and grandmothers. When Yvette was 7, she wrote her first instrumental song for the guitar. Her father saw it beside her bed one night, brought it to the lounge, and it was praised for being an insightful and delicate piece of work. Yvette's father bought her her first guitar with a third of the family's savings and months worth of his paychecks, set on making Yvette into a musician and following in his footsteps. She never tired of the endless practices, the bleeding fingers, and the massive headaches. However, as she became lost in the captivating world of music, she never noticed that her instruments became more expensive and that her floor was littered with instruments she couldn't even pronounce the name of. All she did was play; wrapped in her musical studies, she could drown out the yelling and fighting outside of her bedroom door.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
As the lounge became more popular, Yvette's mother rarely got to see her husband, and the sight of her only daughter thriving as she did was too much to bear at times. With each new instrument, Yvette took more trips to the lounge to practice with some of the men and even perform with them for special events. Terrified of where Yvette's talent would take her in the future, her mother began to drink more often to swallow her own fears and insecurities, and would try to physically keep Yvette near her whenever she could grab hold of her. With her father keeping them along the line of relatively comfortable and in-a-month-we'll-have-to-live-on-savings-only with his expenses for Yvette, there were many arguments. Once Yvette was 13 and first heard the screaming, the slam of a door, and her mother's weeping figure at the kitchen window, Yvette knew the family was reaching a breaking point. She made her first escape to the hilly landscape, wanting only to feel the breeze and hear nothing for just a few minutes. Falling in love with the outdoors and the peace it brought her, Yvette made more and more trips to the isolated areas of the countryside. Her mother, outraged that she was skipping classes to practice or "dance in the hills," pulled Yvette out of school and kept her locked in her room for weeks. Yvette's father came back from the lounge the night a crying Yvette was let out, and only sighed before going to her school the next day to enroll her in the coming academic year.
Many of Yvette's teenage years were filled with tension and no opportunities to escape, given that her mother kept an even closer watch on her than before. Yvette's father cut back on his time at the lounge, letting Yvette take his place some nights. As she played one night, a regular of a popular jazz cafe in Paris approached Yvette and told her that she should try to branch out. With a talent like hers, "everyone deserves to hear." Coming up on her 18th birthday, Yvette decided that she would leave directly after she celebrated with her parents, but her mother wouldn't let her out of the house once Yvette had tentatively told her what an opportunity this was. Yvette's father immediately stepped in, and with teary eyes, told her to grab what she needed and go. To go and only look back when she missed the hills. Now a freelance musician for any cafe or lounge that wants to hire her, Yvette has tried to live as positively as possible, only looking back when the city gets too loud. ]

.Personality.
Calling Nari "artsy" or "creative" is a gigantic understatement. This girl lives, breathes, and sleeps art of all kinds, and she has since she was a little girl. You can almost always find her in the art room at school, and when she's at home she lives in her bedroom, which she's turned into her own personal studio. At 15, she's already had several of her own art shows in galleries around Paris, and those who know her and her work call her a prodigy, destined to make history among the old masters. Not only does she do visual art, she also plays the cello like Yo-Yo Ma himself, dances ballet like she could be a professional, and sings like her lungs have been blessed by the angels. She is the definition of a triple-or quadruple-threat.
Nari is often perceived as very serious and reserved, pretty much the opposite of her fun-loving brother. At school, she is laser-focused on her work and almost never speaks, except to her few close friends and teachers when called on in class. When she does speak, it's only a few short, hushed words here and there, never enough to draw any unnecessary attention to herself. People that aren't close to her, but know of her as most people do, know that she is extremely dedicated to her studies and her art, spending every waking hour working, practicing, or going to one of her many recitals. They appreciate her work ethic from afar, but are almost afraid to talk to her, she seems like she's on a different level than them. None of her peers ever really get to know her. If they did, they would know that, in private, she's actually a very cheerful, friendly, and loving girl. She is an amazing friend, always eager and willing to help out her friends and family with a smile on her face. She actually cares about other people, like so few left in this world. She's also very funny, she often makes jokes and remarks with a light-hearted sense of humor that can make anybody who listens closely enough laugh.
Current State of Mind: Very sane, despite the constant juggling of all of her afterschool activities in the arts, on top of her daily mountain of homework she has to complete every night.

.Part Two.--------------------------------------------------------------------
History

Nari was born on a cold, rainy September afternoon in London to a gleeful, well-to-do family of three, she was their only girl and was a princess in their eyes. From the moment she was born, Nari had a glimmer in her eyes, looking curiously around the new and exciting world she had just come into. Like her brother, Nari was an adorable baby, a chubby little thing with arms that resembled baguettes and a round face with two plump little cheeks. Also like her brother, the nurses adored the cutest baby in the maternity ward, and visited her constantly.
From the moment she could hold a marker, Nari was drawing. On the walls, on the furniture, on herself, it didn't really matter to her, as long as she was drawing. After a particularly memorable event in which nari managed to draw a beautiful picture of flowers and sunshine all over her parent's bedsheets while they were out and the babysitter was asleep on the couch, the Khangs decided to enroll their daughter in a toddler art class, so she could express herself on paper for once instead of all over their very expensive London flat. Nari was clearly the most talented tot in the class and the teacher took a special liking to her, even staying after class with her to give her extra practice. Even at three, the teacher knew that Nari had something special.
Like her brother, Nari entered school at the tender age of four, and attended a normal public school in the family's district of London. Their parents didn't think it was very important for them to be enrolled in private school at their young age, and wanted to give their children a taste of normalcy, at least for a little while, before they were thrust into the elite world that was waiting for them because of their grandfather's immense status in the city. Nari was clearly a very gifted child, she was reading by the age of three, so she was already ahead of her class by the time she entered school, and she was quick to help out the kids who couldn't even read their names find their cubbies. Nari excelled in school, but was always very quiet and reserved, even at four. She preferred to just focus on her studies, she was never as social as her older brother. She made a few close friends in her class, and that was enough for her. When she was seven and her brother was ten, their parents decided that their current school was not challenging enough for their two very advanced children, and so Dae was enrolled in an all-boys private school, and Nari was enrolled in its sister all-girls school across the street. The transition was very tough on Nari, who had enough trouble making friends at her normal school. She didn't know how she was ever going to fit in in an elite private school on the other side of the city. Her grandfather's reputation came with her to her new school, however, and as soon as she got there she was flooded with girls who wanted to befriend the new girl with the powerful grandfather. Though this situation was very different for her, Nari opened up to these new friends and made a few very close ones in her years there.
Growing up in a high-status family in London, Nari frequented the city's operas, symphonies, and ballet performances along with the rest of her family, who saw these events as worthy forms of entertainment. While her brother always looked like he was about to fall asleep in any concert hall or opera house he was dragged into, Nari took a keen interest in these sorts of things. Before they knew it, the Khangs were being begged by their daughter for ballet classes and vocal and cello lessons. Aware of their daughter's talent in visual art, they agreed, wanting to see if she delivered in other art forms the same way she delivered in drawing and painting. Sure enough, she did. Nari took almost immediately to ballet, cello, and choir, and was performing better than kids who had been taking lessons for years within her first few weeks, in all of these lessons. Still today, Nari is constantly rehearsing and practicing singing, cello, and dance, and continues to improve.
At the young age of ten, Nari's father was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. This was hard on the whole family, and Nari was crushed, but her brother Dae took the news the heardest out of all of them. The two boys in the family, Dae and his father were best friends and shared a close and special bond only a father and son could have. When their father died two weeks after the diagnosis, Nari turned to her mother for support, the two shared a very close mother-daughter bond, but Dae was alone and beside himself in his grief. Almost immediately after their father's death, their grandfather stepped in and tried to gain control of the family, only making things worse for the family and the situation at large. Dae argued with his grandfather constantly, and eventually their mother decided it was time for a change. She took her children, belongings, and money, and went to Paris. She relocated the children in a new school, bought them a home, and began working at a company that was connected with her husband. She didn't want to lean on her father-in-law's wealth. Her husband had left enough money for them to be comfortable for a while, but she didn't want to wait for it to run out, so she began working and worked her way up till she was just below the CEO, and stopped there. She makes quite a bit of money, and her children have their own money, left by their father, so everything is going well for them. Nari was very opposed to the move at first, London was all she'd ever known, but after a while in Paris she began noticing her brother was becoming happier, and he was returning to his old self again, which made her happy in return. She quickly adjusted to her new life in Paris and her new school, making a couple of close friends and excelling in her classes. Paris is a haven for the arts and culture, so Nari has been able to take her arts to levels she never even dreamt of before. Now, at fifteen, Nari is the happiest she's ever been.
