So far, Ava was okay. She had already made friends, she was just the sort of girl that attracted others. She hadn't been mean all morning, and to her relief, Jae wasn't anywhere to be found. Her first class was PE, and Ava couldn't help but be a little bit excited. She had a lot of pent-up aggression in her lately, and she wanted to get it out by doing better than everyone else in whatever sport they were playing today. Thankfully, they didn't have gym uniforms at the American school, so Ava got to wear her favorite pair of short black shorts, her pink sports bra, and a simple, loose light blue tank top over it. She seemed pretty innocent and normal among the girls she walked out of the locker room with. Some of them were still tying their shoelaces, and Ava was still pulling her hair into a high ponytail, but they obviously had a lot in common; they were all of average height, with smiling faces and bright eyes for the new school year. They were all happy little popular girls; exactly who Ava was used to hanging out with. The coach was blowing a whistle and shouting about stretches, but Ava and her girls had already started to stretch, chatting about the homecoming dance and how they would all ditch any boys that asked them and go as a group. Ava grinned and laughed lightly, holding her leg out for a sit and reach stretch, until her eyes landed on the one person she didn't want to see. It was Jae, on the other side of the room, and her eyes turned stormy. She hastily looked away, and made sure to act like nothing was wrong. But in all reality, she wanted to set the boy on fire with her glares.
The morning had been uneventful, Jae had gotten up, gone for a run, showered, and changed for school. He'd made his first post on instagram for the day, and he did look pretty good, if he did say so himself. he then took his bike to school, despite his father insisting he should take the town car. Jae wanted that man to have as little control over him as possible. Once at school he'd stuffed all his stuff, except his phone, into his locker and headed to the gym. It was the class where he usually slept, bullied some idiot , or caught up on school work. Sleep was on his mind for the class as he changed into a pair of black gym shorts and a fitted muscle shirt. Once done changing out he headed towards the field with some of the guys, his eyes landed on one particular girl, she was stretching. Little Irish, Jae sighed, he scrubbed a hand over his face and let out a frustrated sound. Why could she not be in another class? He couldn't sit on the side lines while she was playing sports with other guys. He wouldn't be able to stand it, he already knew that. Jae walked casually near her and settled on the grass to stretch as well, his slanted eyes glanced towards her curiously.
Jae was walking over to her, and Ava could see him out of the corner of her eyes. She was happy that he didn't actually try to talk to her in front of the friends she'd made, but it was bad enough that he'd decided to settle in right by her in the grass fields. The painted lines were fresh on the soccer field, and Ava was more than ready to show off her skills. Because in the room, it wasn't just Jae. She had her eyes on a particular blonde boy that was letting his eyes wander to her every so often; he had blue eyes and platinum hair that was obviously kissed with gel. Ava did her best to blatantly ignore Jae, acting like she couldn't even see him seemed to be the best option. One of the girls she was sitting with asked her how she liked Paris so far, knowing that she'd just moved to the city, and Ava shrugged "It's nice, but the company has been a little stale until I met you girls." She joked, and laughter erupted at her joke. The coach brought up something about team captains, asking for two, and a few hands shot up; one of them being Ava's, another being the blonde boy across the fields.
(I'm creating some competition for Jae because he seems to be so worried about other guys >.>)

(that's cool)
His leg muscles were kind of tight, probably from his run that he'd taken earlier that morning. Jae tried not to make it obvious that he was keeping an eye on Ava. She was the closest person to him, everyone else had kept their distance from him, he was the guy that bashed heads for fun. None of his friends had shown up yet, so he was practically on his own really. Jae finished stretching just as the coach began making captains, Jae scowled at the guy that was chosen as captain. He knew Ava wouldn't choose him go be on her team, so he'd end up on blondies team, well wasn't that just fucking wonderful? Jaes sigh was long and loud as he stood and brushed any grass on him off. The blonde was at least smart, he chose Jae right off, everyone knew Jae was excellent at soccer, and a lot of other sports. So it would make sense to he picked, plus he assumed the kid knew if Jae was left to be picked second, or he'll last, that there would be consequences later. Jae walked casually to his team mates, an annoyed expression on his face, "No one touch the captain," He muttered to where only they could hear. If she got hurt he was going to kick some people's ass, and if anyone tried anything fishy, he was going to break necks. Things just weren't going to be easy for Jae in the new school year, obviously.

Ava and the blonde boy were picked as captains over the other people raising their hands, which made her wonder who he was. The coach already knew that Ava was a shoe-in to captain the girls soccer team; he'd seen her tapes and had already talked to her before she changed about the team and how wonderful a thing it would be if she joined. Ava sent a quick smile to the blonde boy, that is, until he chose Jae for his team. Jae didn't look happy about it, so she assumed they weren't friends, but Ava quirked a brow and stared at the people left. She mostly picked the girls that she'd been talking to; since they were all athletic, too, but she also chose a couple of cute guys that had all the traits to make up a meathead. She had to win. If Jaes team won she would never live it down. Once they all had their teams together, Jae's team had to put on the pinnies, which were giving off the lovely scent of BO, and Ava snickered. She turned to her team and they all huddled, discussing what their strategies would be "Just distract them, pass as often as you can and if you have a chance to score, don't hesitate to take it. Kick their asses." She said, and proceeded to give each person a position, taking centre for herself and watching with a peculiar gaze as Jae spoke to his teammates in a low voice, and many of them turned to stare at her. Her cheeks burned, what rumor had he just told? The students were looking at her like they were amazing and shocked, and Ava raised her chin a bit to secure her pride, because really, she shouldn't care what Jae had to say.
The thought of actually participating in gym class made Jae sick, but he had to make sure that things went smoothly , and couldn't stand the thought of guys groping Ava. He looked at the disgusting thing they expected him to wear, he tried saying no , but it was apparently required. He muttered in Korean to himself, and threw dirty looks towards Blondie as he tried to formulate plays and such. It was funny that the kid thought that he was actually in charge of anything. Everyone knew that Jae was the one really calling the shots, him and his crew were the ones that ran the school. Why did this guy think he all of a sudden had any power? Was it because Irish had given him a smile? Jae wished he was on the other team just so he would have an excuse to knock the guy over. "I'll take lead," he announced and went towards the center of the field where a coach was standing with a soccer ball. Jae was curious as to if Ava would be the one to meet him in the middle. He was itching to talk to her, but he wasn't about to show it. He stayed his cool, calm, collective self as he approached the coach.
As Ava approached the center of the field, her brows shot up. Jae was in the center too, of course he was. Because where else would a single minded and self-absorbed bad-boy reside? She rolled her eyes at the sight of him, "Bossing everyone around, as usual, Jae?" She grumbled, her eyes dark. There was a light breeze flowing between them, and the coach shot her a look for her quiet insult, having heard it. Ava just shrugged at him though, she sure as Hell wasn't going to apologize, not when Jae's cologne was wafting through the air to her nose, not when she was fighting a blush. The coach explained the rules that everyone already knew, and the blonde boy playing right wing for Jae's team wished Ava good luck before the game, making her bite her lip in a smile before the coach placed the ball on the ground, and, after a long moment of silence, blew the whistle to start the game. Ava didn't care much for rules when it came to sports, and more often did whatever it took to win. Her feet swiped the ball to her left, where a teammate took and started to dribble, Ava running her way down the field in order to receive a pass from someone.
Jae rolled his eyes and gave Ava a sneer when she smiled at the blonde guy, what the hell was she thinking? She didn't even know that loser, Jae half bent, and concentrated as their game was about to start. "I don't boss, people just do what I say naturally, except for you, which makes you the odd one out Irish," Jae replied just before the whistle was blown. Ava got the ball and Jae followed her, and her team, down the field. The ball went back to Ava and Jae was there, he easily stole the ball and headed back up the field toward the opposite goal, he kicked the ball to a young guy, who completely missed the pass, letting Ava's team steal the ball. "I'm given idiots for teammates," Jae muttered as he turned and began running up the field once more, trying to get ahead of the ball some so that he could intercept when the time came. Jae was rarely seen in gym class, so everyone was kind of sticking clear of him as he ran around the field, it was like they believed he would beat them right there in front of the gym teacher, Jae wouldn't do that unless absolutely necessary.
Ava let out a loud grunt of frustration when Jae stole the ball from her. So he was good. But she was sure that it would never happen again, she wouldn't let it. The only way he would score a goal would be for her teammates to mess it all up. When her team got the ball again, Ava put herself in position to receive the pass, and when she got it, at the half-field mark, their seemed to be no one around to take a pass from her. She felt like screaming, but she didn't have time for the luxury of drama if she wanted to wipe the grin of Jae's face, so she started to dribble it down the field with her feet, side-stepping often and switching directions to keep people away from it. It seemed to be working, but then Jae was up aside her again, and she didn't have any choice. Ava nudged him away with her shoulder, an obvious move to push him away, and took one more big step before kicking the ball straight into the net. Everyone was still shocked that Ava had pushed Jae out of the way, but they seemed to loosen up some when she scored the goal, a couple of her teammates cheering with her.
Why was it that Jae just had to feel weirdly protective over the Irish girl ? Why couldn't he just feel like bullying her, like he did everyone else? Jae watched as Ava got the ball once more. it was easy for him to catch up to her and stay near her as they made their way down the field. Surprise crossed his face when she shouldered him out of the way and scored a goal. Groans came from his team, and everyone stared at the pair, because Ava had actually been so close to him. and had pushed him out of the way. Jae wasn't sure what the best route of reaction was. On the one hand he could ignore it and people would either think he was getting soft or that he was putting Ava under his protection. Or he could make her pay for her actions and humiliate her in front of everyone, keeping his known reputation. Jae didn't like the thought of Irish crying again, he walked up to her and hugged her from behind. the back hug would make it clear across the board that he was placing her under his protection. "Good shot Irish," he whispered in her ear, before quickly releasing her and running down the field. She wouldn't know the meaning behind that action, not really, but everyone else around them would. That was all that mattered to Jae, he wouldn't look weak, and he wouldn't have to beat up a girl. win win.
Ava was slightly annoyed by the reactions of everyone watching she and Jae. It had just been a shove, the coach wasn't even calling it, so why were they all looking at her like she'd dug her own grave? Jae came up behind her out of the blue and wrapped his arms around her, quickly whispering in her ear. He was...praising her? Ava shook her head, she must've heard that wrong. But something had changed, because throughout the rest of the game, the other players on Jae's team kept their distance from her, practically handed her the ball, and the goalie was cowering under the net, leaving obvious spots to score. But they weren't terrible, because Ava saw them stealing the ball from her other teammates, guarding goals from them and scoring a few of their own. Jae carried his team, and they ended up at a tie when the coach blew the whistle for them to stop. Ava's new friends were acting fairly normal, but the blonde boy wasn't smiling at her anymore, he was actually avoiding looking her way, making a point of staring in the opposite direction. Ava frowned, her hands curling into fists as she looked over at Jae, who was walking a good distance away from her "What, did you, just do." She said, as more of a statement than a question. All Ava could see was that, whatever he'd done, he'd placed her in a different grouping than she'd been in before, and she couldn't tell if that was a good or bad thing.
Unsurprisingly the rest of the game everyone left Ava alone, and It gave Jae a sense of satisfaction to see them respecting his wishes. Even the blonde boy backed off and didn't look at Ava again, which meant Jae wouldn't have to beat the guy up later. Once the game was over he was thrown a towel to wipe his face off with, he was doing that when the angry irish voice rang out to him. He paused and turned to look at her, ah but she looked as fiery as ever. A grin crossed his face and he feigned innocence, "I didn't do anything." Jae winked just before tossing her his towel, "Clean up, make sure you drink some water. It would be a pain to have to carry you to the nurses office right now. I need to shower," With that he began walking towards the locker rooms, whether she would listen or not, we'll he didn't know , but he chuckled as he walked away from the flabbergasted expression on Ava's face.
Ava glared at him, taking tiny steps away from her friends so they wouldn't notice her absence "You did something, Jae, and I'll figure out what it is." She grumbled. A towel hit her face and she grimaced at the feel of Jae's sweat hitting her skin "You're vile..." She growled his way, before slipping into the locker room. She couldn't tell if he was trying to ruin her day or be her friend. Something in his smile said he was teasing her, but the way he was talking, God he sounded like an asshole. Ava asked her friends about u Jae, to see what they might now about how awful he was or maybe even what he'd just done, but they all said they didn't know the guy that well, just that he was usually an asshole. Ava shook her head and showered quickly, changing back into her short cut plaid skirt (just long enough to get a frustrated nod from her father), white cotton tank top, simple cardigan, and knee-high socks that the uniform required for girls. Her hair was already dried and ready after her shower, looking as blonde and shiny as ever, when she asked a girl to help her figure out her schedule.
Aden had just finished up rugby practice, and was packing up his gear. He was soaked with sweat, and his teammates were as well, they were all gathering up their stuff and heading towards the showers. "Nice game today McCloud," The coach called out to him, Aden shrugged and continued on his way towards the showers. The young teen didn't care what the coach had to say, it wasn't like it mattered how he did, what would his performance on the team do for him in the future? It was just a good way to let out his frustrations, so he kept at it, at least that's what he told himself. Aden barely acknowledged the other guys, but went straight to the showers and got cleaned up. It didn't take him long to get showered and changed into a fresh pair of clothes, he stuffed his practice clothes into his gym bag and headed outside with wet hair. Some of the guys hollered bye to him, Aden threw a hand into the air to wave bye and then went towards the parking lot to get into his car. He was supposed to go with his dad to look at stuff, and talk business, but Aden was considering skipping the outing, he wasn't in the mood for the pressure of taking over the family business.
One thing was for sure--he still looked the same. It has only been a couple months, but Persephone had a really gear that her boyfriend (newly given the title of long-distance by fiend), Aden, had gotten some terrible haircut or a face tattoo or something. She wasn't a controlling girl, since she's grown up being controlled, but Phe was a little worried that Aden would've changed. But when she was hiding in the parking lot, watching the end of his rugby game from afar with the driver Ava had sent for her, Phe was instantly reassured. It was still her Aden playing on that field. He had the same perfect jawline, the same tan skin (sans ink). There was no gel in his hair, or worse, bleach. He hadn't changed a thing, and that warmed Persephone's heart. She was just about bursting with excitement after the game, waiting to surprise Aden when he got out of the locker room. He didn't know she'd be there, since Phe and Adens sister, Ava, had kept him or of the plan, but she was sure he'd be happy to see her. "I think now's the time, miss." The driver addressed her as they both watched Aden leave the locker room. Phe nodded, a stupid grin on her face, and in a moment she was out of the car, door slamming behind her. She looked just like her usual self; black waves strung up into a ponytail, blue eyes rimmed with a bit of eyeliner and mascara. She was wearing a red peacoat for the chilly day, with leggings and a shirt dress on beneath it. "ADEN!" She squealed, running across the lawn of the American school to meet her guy. She actually leaped on him, expecting him to catch her, and hugged him tightly "I've missed you so much..." She muttered, her forehead touching his as she gazed at him.
Aden was thinking of where to go next, to dads, or maybe shopping? He was getting closer to the parking lot when he heard his name, a girl jumped on him, and her familiar scent overthrew his senses. Aden dropped his gym bag and wrapped his arms around his girlfriend, "Phe?!" He breathed in her ear, he swung her around, his arms tightly holding onto her as he did so, as he slowed down he looked at her with all seriousness, "You're here, you're actually here. What? How?" Aden laughed, "I don't even care, God you're gorgeous," He put her down and took a good look at her, "How is it that you became ten times more beautiful than the last time I saw you?" He leaned forward and kissed her cheek sweetly, Aden was kind of in a shock right then, how was it that she came to be there? Was it planned? Did Ava know? His twin always liked to do things like this. "Are you here for long? Where are you staying? Because you have to stay the Liv, so we can see each other a lot. Can I steal you away for a cup of coffee? Are your parents here?" the questions seemed to never end, Aden wanted to ask about school, and their friends, he had so many things to say that he didn't say on the phone. Their hands interlocked, he picked up his bag, and they headed back towards the parking lot.
Persephone felt butterflies explode in her stomach when Aden hugged her back, whispering and smiling at her. He was calling her beautiful, asking how she'd even come to be there. It had been a process, really. She'd had to lie to her father, say she was going to an overnight at a university in Paris, her mom was the only one that knew she was visiting Aden. Lots of lying, and Phe had meant to tell Aden all about it, but in that moment, she couldn't care less about how she'd been devious in order to see him. The only thing that mattered was their fingers intwined and his eyes gleaming with happiness. "Well, Ava and your mom helped me..." She revealed "Honestly I was just terrified that you'd cut your hair or something." She teased, skimming a hand through the side of his cut. When he asked where she was staying, and if they could have coffee together, Phe was actually shocked "Aden! What kind of girlfriend do you think I am?!" She asked, a smile emerging on her brightly colored lips "I'm here all weekend, staying at the Liv. I'm here for you Aden, to be with you. I hate Russia without you." Persephone said softly, w smile still faint on her lips "I just want this to be our weekend. And Ava said your only game was just now, which, you looked so hot and killed it, by the way, I was watching. But I thought we could hang out and explore together and..." Phe trailed off, wanting to keep one bit to herself. She'd already looked into it, upon Ava's suggestion, but the American school had an exchange program. She could go to school with Aden, live in a dorm on campus, finally get away from the awful Superior name that she was stuck with. But saying that already felt wrong, so she just squeezed his hand as they approached his car "I dunno, just be us for a while, ya know?" Phe leaned against the drivers side door, tugging Aden closer with her hands. His eyes were intent on her, and her blues met his browns with a certain care that can't be described "You know, I haven't been kissed in months." She muttered, teasing her best friend turned boyfriend.
Of course his twin had been in on it, he'd have to thank Ava later, this was seriously the best surprise he'd had in a long time. "Cut my hair?" He chuckled running his free hand over his head, "I wouldn't dare without you saying it was okay." Aden was joking, he would do what he wanted, but if it made her feel better, why not say it? The two go to the car, and Aden felt a lot better than he had in weeks. She was staying for the weekend, it could be just the two of them for a couple of days, and they could just catch up and be together, what a nice weekend to have. Aden didn't have to be hinted to twice, He leaned into Persephone as she mentioned the kissing, his body firmly against hers as his lips closed in, their mouths collided in a sensuous kiss. His hands went to her waist, as his tongue explored her mouth, it was almost as if they were kissing for the first time all over again. And he didn't care who watched on as they did so.
Aden picked up hints very quickly, and he dove towards her lips without a word. As soon as their lips collided, Persephone remembered another reason why she adored Aden so much. His lips were unyielding, his hands demanding on her waist, his tongue exploring her mouth. Her own hands had been cupping his face, but slowly started to drag down, down, down. From his neck, to his chest, to right around his belt. Maybe Phe was just anxious to make out, or maybe she'd missed Aden too much, but slipping her fingers delicately beneath his shirt was the best thing she'd done in weeks. Their kiss was long and very demanding, the sort of kiss that made couples wish for privacy, but privacy they did not have. After just moments of kissing, a group of cheers and hollers erupted from Adens teammates, who were cheering him on in his conquest as they walked to their own cars from the locker room. They were yelling his name and telling him to get it, making Phe blush a scarlet color and pull away "So I guess we should save the sexy stuff for tonight?" She suggested, biting her lip oh so innocently as she stared up at Aden. He was in Paris, surrounded by pretty French girls all the time. Why not give him something to remember her by this weekend?
They were kissing for a few minutes, quite intensely, but soon enough Phe came to her senses ands backed offed some, she glanced at him with flushed cheeks. Slowly his surroundings came to him, and he noticed the cheers from his teammates, Aden gave a cheeky grin to the boys before returning his attention to the girl in front of him. "Aye, we can save it for tonight," He agreed, a bit of his dad coming out in his tone, without even realizing it. "Should we go to a café? We could go get pastries and coffee, like we used to at school," Homesickness zinged through young Aden, he missed Russian, and school. Why were they in Paris? When their real life was back in Russia? But Da wasn't going to listen Aden or Ava, so Aden just had to suck it up and deal with his new surroundings as best he could. The teenager pushed his anger aside and smiled for his girlfriend, "C'mon Phe, lets get out of here,' He pushed his keys into his pocket, and opened the door of the car Phe had arrived in, Aden would send someone back for his car later.
Phe giggled lightly at the promise of more time to come wth Aden. She really did love him, but seeing as they'd only been dating since summer break, she couldn't just tell him that. He would freak out, drop her like a piece of hot coal. But Phe wasn't to the point of insanity over Aden, she wasn't imagining their life together with five kids and a dog. She just hates being away from him, and knew that being by his side made her proud to be herself, so that surely had to be love. "Okay," she agreed, scurrying off to the other car with Aden, a bright grin on her face. "Oh my gosh yes! Let's go get some coffee and catch up, I swear there are some things that skype can't do." She teased, sliding into the car and leaning against Adens shoulder. Just touching him made her feel at home, more than she had in months. "Everything back in Russia has changed so much, it barely even feels like home anymore. What's this new school like?" She asked him, blue doe eyes gazing up at him "Are you still the resident bad boy?" Phe teased, since badass was only Adens recent image that he'd tried on to stray away from his father's influence. "Are you still friends with rich kid alcoholics?" She asked, alluding to her cousin, Cole, who was really the only reason that Aden and Phe had started to date at all. "Oh and if any girls are hitting on you I want their name and address." She stated firmly, her chin set.
Phe slid into the car, Aden slid in right after her, she immediately cuddled up to him. This was one of the many things that he liked about Phe, she made him feel present, needed. He seemed to lack that in his life, or at least that was how he felt. She spoke, and he wondered how the school had changed, was it good or bad? How much exactly had he already missed out on? Aden blinked, thinking for a moment before answering her, the car started to take off to an address that Aden provided. "The new school has some interesting characters, of course there are some pure idiots as well. I thought our school was stuck up, they're nothing compared to this place." Aden's voice was laced with disgust towards the end, "Though I have to say there are some hotties...." Aden was jesting, his eyes were bright as he teased her, "But no one could replace you Phe," He added just before bringing her tighter against his side. "What about you? Have you found a new beau? Do you really miss me?" He asked her with a sincerity in his eyes.
Persephone couldn't even describe how happy she felt. She was in a gorgeous city, her family whole countries away, with her boyfriend. Just snuggling her face into Adens arm was bliss, but when he started to speak, she glanced up, and forced herself to pay attention to his words, and not just how handsome his face was. But Aden had eyes that shone with something sweet in them, and his lips were so lovely looking, Phe knew she could kiss them all day and never get bored. "It's more stuck up than Capitol?" She asked in surprise. Her family was one of the worst in their town, she knew all about them. How could it possibly be worse in Paris? When Aden brought up hot girls, Phe's eyes widened, and she actually felt as if Aden had slapped her. His smile said that he was teasing her, but what if it was the truth? What if Aden was surrounded by beautiful, funny, popular girls that were ten times better than herself? What if he realized that she was awfully boring and left her in the dust for a Parisian girl with two perfect eyebrows and a picturesque pout? He was assuring her otherwise, and Phe tried to giggle some, but her heart was still aching, just at the thought of losing him. A new beau? Phe? She shook her head, even though her ex and old flame had been trying to get on her good side again. There was no need to worry Aden over Sevastian, he was her last, Aden was her future. "Of course not. The crop of new kids are all fairly average looking, none are as good as you." She promised, her smile genuine as she kissed his cheek quickly. "I miss you everyday..." She said softly, her gaze breaking from his and wandering over the cab "I have friends and stuff, sort of, but they're no you, Aden."
The city passed by in a whir of people, lights, shops, and advertisements, not that Aden was paying any attention to it. His sole focus at that moment was on the girl in his arms, her being there felt unreal to him. "Yeah way more stuck up, unbelievable I know. Unless you have a Ferrari or country like mansion, well you might as well count yourself out of the group at the top," Not that it mattered to Aden, he'd never been one to want to climb to the top of the social ladder. He was happy just being known as the one that pulled off the bad boy look, he'd already gotten a few friends that really were bad boys, and they seemed to get along well. His Da would die if he knew half his friends records, hence the reason Aden hadn't taken any of them home, yet. He was waiting for the moment his Da really pissed him off, then he'd bring those guys around. Aden wasn't sure whether to believe Phe at first about not liking anyone else, but as she spoke, her eyes wandering off, no longer focused on him, he got the feeling that she was truly unhappy at the Capitol. This of course made him feel terrible, Aden would happily keep her with him in Paris, forever, but that just didn't seem likely. They were both still under their parents rule, which meant they got most say in their lives at the moment. "Its not the same here without you either," He admitted, emotions clear in his voice, Aden dropped a kiss to the top of her head, then snuggled her as they both gazed out the window, the café was just down the road by that point.
Phe crinkled her nose at the thought of them "You could get in that crowd if you wanted to babe, but they sound like assholes." She complained with him, her blue eyes staring out at the city for a bit. "What's your day like here though?? Like are you friends with bad boys or nerds that do your homework?? After practice do you go back to the Liv or do you go hangout somewhere?" She asked eagerly, her blue eyes bright "You know all about my boring old life," she claimed, though Aden actually didn't; things had gotten worse in her family since he left, "but I know nothing about yours." Phe whined. He was placing a kiss on her head, and before his lips were too far away, Persephone tilted her head back and caught his lips with hers, kissing him deeply for just a moment before pulling back and biting down on her lip. "Sorry. I've just been missing that." She whispered, nudging Aden as they stopped at the cafes curb "Uou ready?" She quipped, still staring at his mouth.
His day always felt a bit hectic, but how to explain it to his girlfriend? Aden ran a hand through her hair, over and over again in a soothing way. "I start it out with a coffee from the Liv usually, then head to school in my car, unless dad forces me to let him take me," Aden crinkled his nose for a moment, "Then I go to the weight room and workout until its almost time for class, of course I shower, then go to class. I have classes, then lunch, which I usually have off campus with some of the guys. I either hang out with other guys like myself, or with some of the jocks since we have athletics together. So I guess I hang out with a mix of guys." Aden let go of her as the car came to a stop, he followed her out, he couldn't help but want to kiss Phe, but he opted for being a gentleman instead, he took her arm in his and led her into the warmth of the café. "Then I usually have practice after school, and then back to the Liv, or out to a party or something." Aden didn't think his days were all that interesting, they were just packed with stupid stuff mostly. If she was closer it would all seem a bit better, he was sure of it. But for then, well he just wasn't happy with anything in his life. The couple went up to the counter, the café was mostly empty, "I'd like a hot cocoa," He informed the barista, Aden took out his credit card and waited for his girlfriend to order.
Aden was talking about his days like they were nothing, like he was bored with them already, but they really did sound nice to Persephone. "Oooo weight room. I'd love to see that." She teased, winking at Aden as they climbed out of the car together. She'd been having days that kept her feeling depressed and useless; with no theater or creative outlet. She had an active mind, a lovely imagination, and didn't like spending it on just the mounds of schoolwork that she didn't understand. She didn't have to tell Aden that, though, not unless he explicitly asked about her days. Thankfully for her, he probably assumed that he already knew. When Aden was in town she'd done theater, chorus, dance team, and some piano lessons. But that wasn't just about Aden, lots of things had changed at home recently. "Parties, too? You wild child. Aden how am I dating such a cool guy?? How??" She asked him with a glimmer in her eye. But then they were ordering, and Phe asked nicely for a gingerbread latte before leading her boy over to the pickup counter, her arm tucked within his and her body snuggled up to him.
The two of them seemed melancholy for a moment as they caught up. Aden almost asked how her days went, but caught himself. Did he really want to hear about how well she was doing without him? Or how things hadn't changed just because the McClouds had left? Aden did his best not to frown as he paid, he tried to smile for Phe's sake. They went to the pickup counter and he looked down into her eyes as she snuggled into him. They were a cozy, normal looking couple at that moment, he wished it could be like that all the time, but that wasn't reality. "Is it any different? Without me?" He murmured to her, his voice serious, eyes questioning as he continued to gaze into hers. If she told him that she was fine and everything was the same, well he thought he might walk out then and there. Aden acted tough as nails, but he had a lot of insecurities in reality.
Persephone felt like she had to tell him everything that was wrong. She'd gotten so depressed without him, and with having to move back into her parents house, instead of staying with her aunt. Her whole life was a big black hole lately, and Aden was the only brightspot she had; his texts and calls kept her sane. But she couldn't tell him that, not when he seemed to be having an easy time adjusting to life in Paris. They strolled down to th pickup counter, and the barista handed a warm, paper cup to Phe. Her drink was warm and smelled delicious, so she just held it, cupped in her hands, for a few moments. She was content to be quiet with Aden, so she didn't say anything he wouldn't want to hear, but then he asked. He asked her if it was different without him, and Phe remembered her summer days when she and Aden would be so happy and relaxed. Was it any different? Only worlds. Phe nodded without skipping a beat. "Very different. I don't know how it is for everyone else, but I miss you more than anything in the world. Things have changed, Aden." She admitted, her voice thick with emotion as she looked back at him.
Aden dropped a few bills in the tip jar before grabbing his cup, Phe's soft voice reached his ears and he stood stock still for a moment. She had no idea how much those words comforted him, "It's not the same without you either... I wish you could just stay under my bed or something," Aden knew it sounded stupid but he would so hide her under his bed if given the opportunity. "Here let's sit down," Aden led her towards a table beneath a window. instead of sitting across from her though he sat beside her, so that he could be as close to her as possible while they drank and caught up. He wasn't sure if her being there made it all harder or easier.
He was speaking to her softly, making sure he wasn't being harsh with her. Phe was so thankful for Aden, she couldn't explain how lucky she was to have him, even if he was in France, not Russia. Persephone followed him over to a table, one that was by the Windows, and settled down in the seat closest to the chilly glass. "I wish you could, too." She promised him, trying not to make eye contact as she felt herself want to tear up. "I had to move back into my parents place, I'm not with Cole and auntie anymore." She admitted, since she hadn't actually told him yet. "And my dad pulled me out of theater, chorus and dance. He said I need to focus on schoolwork." Persephone took a slow sip of her latte. "I dunno, Aden. It's just hard." She felt like crying, but she didn't want to ruin their weekend, so she just smiled some. "But you know me, I'm resilient." She lied.
The Paris atmosphere was perfect for a young couple in love, but for the couple sitting by the window, with cold hands wrapped around warm mugs, it was a bit depressing. The two loved one another, but weren't sure how to make it work, Aden was taken aback when Phe mentioned her dad taking her out of her classes that she loved so much. Why would they take her away from Coles place anyway? Everyone knew that Persephone didn't get along with her parents, her Aunts place was the best environment for her. "Aw Phe," Aden put his arm around her shoulders and pulled her close to him, he wasn't sure if there were words to say to make it alright. Hugging always helped Ava though, so he figured he would give it a shot. "You must be going through hell," He was concerned, and was tempted to kidnap her.
Aden always knew what to do. Finding words to say could be hard for her boyfriend, but the hug he wrapped her in was the perfect response. Phe buried her face into his chest and let out a sigh, content to be wrapped in Adens warm arms. He thought she was going through hell, and he was right, but Persephone didn't need him knowing that. "Not hell. I still have you. Even if you're far away, Aden, you still make me feel a million times better." She told him, staying put in his arms. Her mind wandered back to what Ava had told her about, how she could go to the American school and stay in a dorm. Had Aden thought of that yet? Maybe he had, and didn't want her to be in Paris with him. The higher nagged at Phe, but it was her only solution so far. "There is one way out, something that Ava suggested to me. But I dunno if you'd want me to do it or not." She said tentatively, pulling away so she could look him in the eyes.
Why did they have to be so far away? Aden was pissed, at his parents, at her parents, at the entire situation. The thought of her having to go through it all on her own only angered him more. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry I'm not there," He muttered, he held her tighter and kissed the top of her head just before she spoke. "Hm? What was the idea?" Aden pulled back some so he could see her face better , "I'm ears for anything. We've got to do something..." Even if it meant they all Raj away to an island somewhere and hid from everyone. Though that would be hard on the young rich boy, he wouldn't have all of his necessities right ok hand. But he would sacrifice conviences for Persephone.
Persephone grinned when Aden told her that they had to do something, he wanted her to know that he was in this with her, he wasn't just leaving her behind. But Phe couldn't be sure that he'd want her to be in Paris 24/7, he might like the distance between them... Persephone had to get over that, though, and just tell her boyfriend the idea. "Well, she said I should put in an application at your school, the American school. She said they have an exchange program. I could get a dorm, live here, go to classes, and be involved in stuff here. If you don't want me to, though, I won't do it. It's all up to you, Aden. I don't want to intrude on your new life here." She said, her blue eyes staring up into his. He looked so dedicated to doing something, so ready to take care of her and get her out of anything harmful, and that made her love him even more.
So Ava had come up with something? It surprised Aden that the two even kept in touch that much. He was glad his twin cared though, it meant that there might actually be a way out of the situation that they were in. She went on to explain what Ava had said, at first Aden just stared blankly at Persephone, then a grin spread across his face as he hugged her for a moment, then pulled back. "Genius! Do you think your parents would approve? I could pay for the tuition if they don't want to pay it, Da would certainly let me use my money for that," He had a huge trust fund that he wasn't supposed to get till he was 21, but Jack would let him use it for something like this, right? Plus it wasn't like it would take a huge chunk of the money, just a small bit. Aden couldn't help the light feeling in his chest, and like some of the weight had been lifted off his shoulders. "If we tell your parents that my Da and Mum would look out for you on the weekends, and Ava would be by your side with everything, how could they say no?" His excitement was hard to mask, "Because you know as well as I do that if you tell them you're moving here for me then they're going to say no," Jack always seemed approving of Aden and Phe, he thought she would calm him down or something, but her parents never seemed so sure about the relationship. It was partly Aden's fault with the starting of his bad boy attitude just before they left for Paris.
At first he just stared at her, and Phe wasn't sure how it would be possible to gauge his reaction. He just looked shocked. But then a wide smile grew on his face, and he was talking a mile a minute; it was almost hard for Persephone to catch all of it. The basics, though, she knew-- he loved the idea, he would pay for her tuition if she needed him to, and he was already coming up with ways to convince her parents. Phe felt like she might just cry tears of joy, and she smiled brightly while her eyes started to water. "Oh thank god." Was all she said, and then did the only thing she could think of to get him to shut up; she kissed him deeply, their bodies close together in the small booth. It didn't last long though, and Phe pulled away, her forehead resting against Aden's "you don't need to pay my tuition, if we can convince my parents to let me come here, they'll pay it. And if your parents could talk to mine, that would help so much, because they'll know I'm moving here mostly for you." She told him, smiling like and idiot. "God Aden I hope this works. We could be together again." She said softly, swallowing down her happy tears.
Them, the two of them, Paris, it could be theirs, if they could only get everything in order. Would they be able to make it happen? Aden didn't know, but he would do everything in his power to help it along. Phe came in and kissed him, Aden fully reciprocated the kiss, his hand found the back of her neck, cradling her head as they kissed for a few moments. She pulled back, he gazed into her eyes as they stayed close, and she became emotional. "Together," He breathed, it was almost too good to be true. "Hold on," He muttered as he took his phone out of his pocket, he immediately went to his text messages and began typing a message to his Da. Persephone wants to go to the school Ava and I go to, she's been forced back in with her parents back in Russia. Is there any way you and Mum can talk to her parents, insure them you would look after Persephone if she moved into the dorms? She would need a place to go on weekends and holidays.... It would mean a lot Da. Aden paused, this was the first time him really, and truly asking something from his parents, so he hoped they took him seriously, he copy pasted it, then changed some words, just before sending it to his Mum too. "There, we'll see what they say," He showed the message to Phe, so she could see too.
The mods had changed drastically. Instead of being sad and depressing, their little corner of Paris had grown and flourished into a truly euphoric spot. Persephone couldn't help the grin that was on her face, and Aden couldn't seem to lose him, either. He was already texting his parents, and Phe kissed his cheek while he sent the messages. "Just think, if this works, I'll be just a few blocks away from you. And you could bunk in my dorm sometimes and we could have study sessions and go on dates all over Paris and...god Aden it would be perfect." She admitted, her blue eyes hopeful. If they could pull it off, then she would have the best life yet. Sure, she would miss Cole and Bella, but Aden, plus being away from her parents, made it all worth while. "We should go celebrate tonight. Can we go to a club? Or just a nice restaurant. Or both." She said excitedly, laying sweet kisses all over his cheeks.
"A few blocks away, and sleepovers, yeah I'm thinking this has to happen. Its been too long already babe," His dad would help, right? Surely... Aden wasn't so sure, not with how he'd been treating him as of late. But maybe he'd see that Aden might give Paris a chance with Persephone there with him. "Wait study dates? You know I don't study," Joking he touched the tip of her nose, Aden was one of those guys that barely passed because he didn't put in the effort, if he did break down and try, well he would likely be an A+ student. Soon he was being smothered in kisses, any other time he might have shooed her away and been slightly embarrassed, but at that moment, he welcomed it and wrapped his arms fully around her waist, tempted to pull her into his lap. "How about we start off at a restaurant and see how you feel after? Then if you want to go out we can go to the club, it'll give you a reason to dress up too." He had a suit waiting in the closet to be worn, and he'd wear it for her. "Oh," He muttered, untangling himself from Phe he glanced down at his phone, his dad had replied, Son come into the office, both of you. We'll see what we can do. -Da Aden pushed his seat back and began tugging Phe along with him, "Da wants to see us."
Persephone shrugged lightly "I bet you would study if I gave you some motivation." She teased, wiggling her eyebrows up at him. Even if he was accepting the waves of kisses, Aden still has a little bit of a blush to his cheeks once she pulled away. Phe was half in his lap, and he was talking about dressing up and going out to eat. "That sounds like a plan, we'll have to decide together though. If we go clubbing we could dance and make out and get mildly drunk, but if we stay in we could pig out and watch movies..." Phe trailed off, trying to think which would be best. The most important thing to her was that they needed to be making out, and either way, that would happen by the end of the evening. Aden shook her from her thoughts by mentioning his da. "He does? Well, that has to mean he's considering it, right?" She asked him, sliding out of the booth and holding her hand out for him to take. She assumed Mr. McCloud was at the hotel, but she couldn't be sure. She'd like to see him, though, that gruff old guy always gave nice hugs, and he seemed to like her.
The two headed out of the café, hand in hand, looking like an adorable couple of Paris. "I think it means he's definitely going to help us, usually if he's going to tell me no, he flat out says no," Aden winked at Phe before opening the car door and allowing her to slide in before him. "Home," was all he said to the driver before settling back with Persephone. "I wonder if he spoke with Mum about it at all.." Aden wondered allowed, his mum was usually the one to go to if you wanted something. Jack had never been the easy parent, and all of the kids knew it, though he had a soft heart for Ava, usually. Since moving to Paris the twins had both given the man a hard time though, Aden linked his fingers with Phe's, hoping to draw strength from her as they headed to the Liv.(Switch to the hotel thread?)
