((sorry for not posting sooner heh))He could feel it. Every note of the music flowing through his headphones reverberated through his body, his heart, his soul. Music was everything to Adrian. It was one of the few stable things he'd ever had in his life, outside of the nightmares that plagued his waking and sleeping life. He did not have to be asleep to see them, though they frequented his sleep more often then they appeared within his waking thoughts. Sometimes the images were blurry and hard to understand, only able to pick up on the sounds, other times it was the opposite, the sounds in the scene gone and he could only see some images to piece together. It tormented him, most of the time the visions were dark, gruesome, unknown strangers and their foretold fates. Things he had to see, could never unsee, made it rather hard for him to sleep at night. There were dark circles under his eyes, and his mind was really only ever at peace with music. He could only ever sleep when he curled up by the Hypnos cabin, and that was mostly because his dreams just ceased to exist there.
Today, however, he'd chosen to venture beyond the camp. It had not taken much to slip out of the camp, he did not have anyone who would miss him. He had some money from before he came to the camp, and decided a nice coffee at a cafe might be nice. He found his way to the East Side Cafe after a while of wandering and stepped into the building. He ordered a cup of coffee and a grilled cheese and sat down in a secluded part of the cafe, resting his head in his hands and trying to drown out everything in the music he was listening to at the moment.
((It's all good, this has really been my first chance to get on and actually reply to an RP ._. ))
To leave the camp was easily done. The occasional student was caught, but never Will. He was so low on the totem poll of importance that he was sure not to attract any monster, or anything interesting. Say a child of Zeus tried to leave camp they'd have a league of Satyr's on their tail along with Chiron. A part of him felt a sense of luck in knowing that he wasn't that important, and that he could live a somewhat normal life. It was likely, though, that any child of the big three would have to chose a life of solitude, or one in Camp Half-Blood for the rest of their lives.
Humming softly he continued down the street in a leisurely pace. Not too much of a fan of coffee it was always a surprise when he found himself at the cafe. Nevertheless they had the best pastries, and whilst camp had great food, nothing could beat the homemade stuff they served here. Walking inside a small bell above the door signaled his arrival. He stopped for a moment removing his hood before shaking out his hair, raking his fingers through his curls. Luckily it wasn't too frizzy yet from the mist outside. Despite practically knowing the small menu by heart he took a moment to look it over.
((ah yeah I know what you mean >~< I've been without wifi the last few days so this is the first I'm able to reply to an rp as well now actually))Adrian was not normally the type to draw attention to himself. He was perfectly content with staying out of sight, below the radar of counselors, monsters and gods alike. The more he wasn't noticed, the better. The feat was not always easy of course, especially given his nightmares and glimpses into the future, but for the most part he could accomplish his goal with relative ease. There were enough kids of the big three now that he could go where he pleased unopposed most of the time.
It was nice to pretend to be normal now and then, to sit quietly in a world that moved on around him with no one paying attention, or caring who his parents were. He lifted his head when he heard the small bell signal another arrival when he pulled his headphones off to see if his drink and sandwich were done yet. The person who walked in actually looked vaguely familiar, and he stood when his name was called to walk up next to the boy, glancing at him curiously before grabbing his coffee and grilled cheese.
