I really hope that this book lives up to its hype in the end!

Even though Queen Elara has been mean to Mare so far, I actually kind of like her.

*Sigh*
Right now, I like this novel. I really do. But Mare kind of annoys me, and I'm just a little disappointed in Red Queen all together. I think I'm feeling that way because it's been hyped up so much. :/

A lot of people are saying this book has a horrible beginning, but I actually have been hooked on it from page 1!! Wow, I'm unexpectedly enjoying this, and it's supposed to get even better, so I can't wait to see what's in store.

I'm not surprised that Mare has both Silver and Red blood in her... I'm just kind-of confused because her blood comes out Red on her birth certificate, yet she is supposedly also Silver. I just need some more clarifications which I hope are to come.

I also think that Cal is way too rushed with his feelings towards Mare. It seems like love-at-first-sight...and I'm not 100% sure the feeling is mutual (though I hope it is!).

I was thinking of Mare's blood as a mutation, and not that she has Red and Silver blood, actually!
I feel like it didn't start getting good until about 50 pages in.

Mare...it's like she never make inferences about anything...she doesn't realize the obvious until a chapter later.
